Game's still a fun time waster and the music is great, but unfortunately I'm not really holding out hope that we'll see another Second Dream/War Within/Sacrifice/Tempestarii coming down the pipes anytime soon.

I don't know what to tell anyone who didn't see this coming after meeting Sweet Transvestite in Forty Tunas/Nef Anyo's Neon Freezy Wonderland. Once you have a creepy fuck that buys bits and pieces of his old girlfriend's body to turn into a genderspecial toasterface golem, it's only a matter of time before it all goes directly to liquid shit.

Honestly I didn't find ticker that obnoxious. He was a bit camp but it wasn't THAT out of place with the 70s synthwave vibe fortuna has, contrast with loid and albrecht being straight out of a tumblr fujo fanfic and the main focus of the plot.

Pretty sure his reason was that he'd always have something to remember her by, which I guess isn't all that strange when you consider the players are psychopathic teenagers piloting murderninja cancer mechs.
Sweet Transvestite wasn't awful, all told, but somewhere in the back of my mind I had a niggling suspicion it was the barely-visible start of the slide into insufferable troondom.

Well I decided to install this crack cocaine since they released cross play and cross save. It works great between my PC, steam deck and xbox

I finally got MR30, my goal since starting years and thousands of hours ago.

I also did the New War. What a slog. I really liked the short segments with the grinder and corpus but I detested the forced stealth. It was extremely frustrating but mercifully short, and then the end segment of railjack, mech and mercing the archon with my warframe was satisfying.

I picked up Gyre and Citrine with plat, both frames are so good I almost forget about Wukong. I think I am going to really invest in both, Citrine is just so solid, I love the crystal shooting rainbows and her design is just excellent. Gyre requires a bit of set up but once her 3 and 4 are running you are just a beyblade of red hits. I’m glad most of the new frames seem interesting, I am really excited to try out styanax.

Hoping to try Duviri paradox and veil breaker next. I won’t be going in blind though like I did new war, I don’t want to be locked out for a questline for 4 hours again.

Still, she won't be replacing my beloved Wisp any time soon.

Archon shards are
1x Tauforged Amber - 45% energy filled on spawn - this is mandatory, it gives enough energy to cast the 4 & 3 plus one Pillage which is enough to get the train rolling.
1x Tauforged Amber - 37.5% casting speed - this is optional but for comfort, insta Pillage casts keep me mobile and make casting the 4 & 3 a lot better

Survivability comes from Adaption/Rolling Guard plus the 18xx overshield from each Pillage cast. The Pillage also resets shield gate timer.

You are going to be casting Pillage a LOT because it is your armor strip, if shits not dying it’s because you aren’t casting enough. Use Gyre’s 2 when you feel the damage start to fall off just to prime enemies and get a good cluster for the lightning to chain.

Weapons are free choice, I have a rifle in primary slot for Amalgam Serration. The + sprint speed is real nice and secondary is a Tenet Cycron for Amalgam Barrel Diffusion for that sweeet + dodge speed.

Companion is also free choice but bringing something that can spam Guardian helps. Don’t use a companion that gets survivability from melee damage because you won’t be doing any.

That combo with Manifold Bond makes it so that Nautilus has zero cooldown on his skills giving you endless grouping from Cordon and zero cooldown Guardian.

So a couple of questions for anyone that knows. Whats the companion meta right now? I have good ol Helios Prime but I saw some people with Diriga and may want to build that out. Also are Smeetas still as excellant as they were in past years? I love my Smeeta and its my preferred companion on non steel path.

Also just scored a sweet sister with a Tenet Arco Plasmor and an ephermera. The plasmor was only 30% but I was missing it from my collection so I will build it out regardless.

I want to use Protea more since she has one of the coolest kits and visuals in the game, but the problem is her abilities are largely power-crept. Her Dispensary ability has largely been neutered thanks to Arcane Energize (especially since Whispers in the Walls), her turret's duration is a joke and her 4 is probably very good on Steel Path, but more of a flashy gimmick in normal gameplay. Her shield/grenade is also kinda pointless because everyone is rocking so much survivability nowadays. It sucks, because I really want to use her more.

Kinda have the same feeling with Nyx. She'd be fantastic if her main ability (armor strip+resistance remover) wasn't so glitchy and only worked about 30% of the time.

Her shield/grenade is also kinda pointless because everyone is rocking so much survivability nowadays. It sucks, because I really want to use her more.

I have noticed that energy economy is so much easier. I am mainly using Hydroid at the moment in steel path and nourish + zenurik = infinite energy. I spam all my abilities at will and never have to worry, I am tempted to try another school because of how easy the upkeep as been.

Admittingly I dont use Protea on SP ( I should test her though), she is my open world frame with Wukong and Umbra. Any frame that aimbots while I fish, I just like how Protea has the "full package" of support and damage. Once her prime is out I am going to focus on making my current build for her SP viable.

Protea is still very usable through the Steel Path anything. Turrets are good enough and grenades let you shield-gate everything trivially - you mentioned that ridiculous survivability options are everywhere and that's true, but Protea's is one of them. Dispensary is, admittedly, more useful on other 'Frames as a way to trigger Energise consistently (although it's much less useful in that niche since Nourish was reworked and even less since Energy Nexus was added), which it also does for Protea, and her 4 is always there as a free slot to replace with Helminth; you were charitable toward it, but I can't think of a single scenario where it would be useful.
She's on the power creep side far more than the power crept - Vauban was supposed to be the engineer 'Frame and lags far behind.

It's overdesigned compared to his base look. I could mostly forgive it with Nidus, Nezha, and Hydroid's deluxes, but nothing about Styanax's deluxe says "hoplite" to me.

Peak deluxe is still Rhino's, followed closely by Wisp's.
