Friend convinced me to try Warframe again since I haven't played it in 9 years.

At least I've got a better excuse now.
If I had to guess, someone probably hacked your account and used it for the usual methods. You can try sending a support ticket if you really care; honestly, the more important thing would be to make sure you're not reusing passwords.

Nah I had 2fa on it already, I just never felt the desire to actually install and play the game.
I sent in a ticket just to see why but they haven't responded yet.

By the looks of it and based on what you peeps say, i think she will be my open world frame and considering im doing the entrati stuff she is perfect for me
Koumei basically shines anywhere that's going to give her long, clear sightlines to smack people with her 4 and she'll be better at priming than the Cedo on open maps and Duviri. She's a fun weapons platform with a relatively reliable priming ability who is pretty solid once you've got the Condition Overload mods. Her passive makes bullet hoses like the Velox amusing as well. Just toss her 4 at large groups of enemies you've got line of sight on, follow up with a 1, shift to whatever weapon her passive is on and play her as an aggressive glass cannon.

You must've thought the wrong thing.

Stop it. You're making me want to reinstall this faggot game.

A friend got me back into it a couple months back and it's scratching an itch I didn't know I had. There's just something endearing about it's retardation and its community's retardation. I soloed most of it, been playing with the public lately and God do so many people suck at their frames. And guns, I've yet to see another Cedo user actively using the alt-fire.

Similar or worse job to pets? The only thing that Koumei is worse at priming is an aoe secondary with encumber, which is what you should be running anyway.

Max number of unique status is 13 (actually 14 or 15, but Koumei/encumber can't apply void or tau) which means Koumei's 4 has a 57% chance to put every status on enemies in LoS. You get crit chance, crit damage, armor strip, and extra damage if you aren't relying on status damage, which won't be factored into the math here. A melee weapon with multiplicative CO like the Nepheri or Corufell with 13 statuses hit for an extra 1040% multiplicative damage. Granted a primary or secondary doesn't get the same bonkers percentage, but an extra 80% or 120% respectively from galvanized mods starts to get scale really well with crit. Secondaries also have Secondary Shiver that triggers CO which at max cold stacks, again only a 1 or 4 away, is another 450% multiplicative on certain guns.

I will reiterate that most people have bad weapons and don't know how to use them. Koumei is not a caster frame, she is a gun platform that lets you hit in the millions by casting a single ability allowing you to bring more utility/damage into your missions instead of wasting weapons/companion spots on priming. Take off all your mods and arcanes on Koumei, take everything off a Stalhta except serration and vital sense, cast your 4 and shoot some stuff. Put galvanized aptitude on the Stalhta and repeat the process. Then do it with a Corufell if you want to see some really big numbers.
If she is a gun platform than i can't think of much worse then her.

Yeah, I rarely play in a squad. It's too frustrating.

I do for Relic cracking and Duviri, there are some places its beneficial. I've been cracking some ancient relics and getting people some old prime parts, it feels a bit like a good deed. But yeah, as a Wisp main, watching people play Wisp badly is painful, she's about the easiest frame to mod and play. Build for strength, maybe a bit of duration, drop buffs, hit 3 in the middle of a bunch of enemies, jump to drop aggro. Easy loop, beyond a chunk of the community.

Reworked Nova may be easier, but you need at least a couple augment mods.

Just gonna write my little screed here because the koumei "discourse" online is annoying me and going "she is actually based guys" will just stop devs from making her better.

To talk about her as a "weapons platform". Firstly i think weapons platform as a term has been raped into the ground and barely means anything anymore. But that's a different discussion. I will just bring up the frames that can 100% truly be called weapons platforms. For solo gameplay she cant compete with harrow at all, but I suppose that's trying to box with God. However if we bring it down a notch to mirage, saryn, gauss? She isn't really competing with those either.

Condition overlord melee builds? Might be more room there. But let's think about it. She is probably technically better at priming then diriga or a hound. But they are completely autonomous. You don't need to think at all, and you can just focus on your warframes abilities which are probably better. Then we go the other methods that are just epitaph and anything similar. I doubt she is better then them at applying status and it's way more brainless then using koumeis abilities to do it. So then we compare her to say kullervo or voruna, she is never coming close to them. Then the myriad of other warframes that can do well with condition overload melee like saryn. So she isn't particularly standing out there.

Then let's look at the content people do. Netracells and deep archamedia? I think you'll get audible groans out of people if you bring koumei to those. Sitting in some form of endless missions for an hour or 2? I think most people really don't want to think and do little challenges during those. People want to sit with khora, hydroid, nuke frame, and immortal frames like yareli and just rake in loot.

Talking about the decrees. The cope with this is equivalent as saying "don't worry guys, the rpg gets good after 100 hours". You can't say she gets good after a half hour of farming your decrees. Most missions are less then 5 minutes and most warframes pop off the second they hit the map.

For new players? Well... can we really say she is better then volt and rhino? Or the caliban everyone just got? I'm not really eager to get into that debate.

Tl;dr you can play any warframe you think is fun, but don't hold up bronze and say it's gold.

Hot take: Koumei's entire gimmick is shit and I just subsumed that helminth ability that doubles status effects over it. It's funny to see a poor innocent grineer go from tick damage to instantly dead because he didn't expect the two green shards on her.

I don't know that anyone's actually saying this, but the more that people act like Koumei is trash when she's just a good frame, the more I want to roll with her and her weapons just for the seethe. Saryn's likely always going to dominate the weapons platform discussion just for sheer consistency. I haven't had any issues running her and her weapons yet, but I haven't tried her on Steel Path. DE probably shouldn't have released her along side the Nova and Caliban reworks, if we're being honest.

I had cheatengine open or something when I launched the game, I guess?
This is my ONE TIME ONLY CHANCE unban (their emphasis)
They didn't email me this response either, I checked my support ticket, what a great system.

I just picked up the game recently. Does it get more fun as the game progresses?

Its a lot more enjoyable in the mid game and onward where you start to unlock the major story quests and start building up your collection of weapons/frames. It also gets more challenging which forces you to start actually engage with the modding system to get anything done. Early on the craft timers and lack of equipment slots cause a lot of people to drop the game, which is understandable. I won't say that it gets better after 100 hours (for me it was about 40, which is still a lot for most people). The Natah and Second Dream quests are where I shifted from 'on the fence' to 'game good'.

Yea I think the new player experience is the worst part. Just focus on completing the star chart, doing quests, and building weapons (and use them until they're rank 30). The build and mastery timer are rough, but in like 20h of active play time it will kinda feel better.

That makes a lot of sense. Things didn't seem all that entertaining at first so I checked the player count and it seems like a pretty popular game so I figured there must be more to it than what I've been seeing so far

Thanks for the info

I think this image says a lot. To be clear, the pop up is referring to the number on the right.

Edit: I accidentally grabbed the By Revenue list, but you get the idea

As a somewhat still new player i can tell you that the game early on will just be unlocking the star map and going from planet to planet. The story mostly doesnt make sense and youre just thrusted into things but they start to drip feed you story and lore through quests and codex entries. My main gripe as others stated is that small inventory size for weapons and warframes. As for the game itself, is a fun shooter to just play while having something in the background. I would recommend it if you dont mind the long ass crafting times, like 3rd person shooters and youre willing to deal with dumb people that dont do the fucking objective.
