Alright, guess my progression through the Warframe storyline ends here. I'll just exist in the New War era forever.

You just need to get them to rank 3 (which you can measure via the computer), and you get chemistry by doing bounties with the relevant Hex member on them. It's also the bare minimum to unlock stuff like the Scaldra weapons and ETAs.

I trawl both the Warframe forums and the subreddit and see that the Valkyr rework, particularly Hysteria, is a hot topic:

The current Hysteria is, in Pablo's words, oxymoronic with the rest of Valk's kit. War Cry grants bonus armor that she doesn't use because she's invulnerable while channeling Hysteria, and and the steep energy cost is partly a relic of old game balance where you'd have to decide when to go bananas because energy was harder to come by. So he's proposing the removal of the invulnerability, in exchange for tripling the armor bonus from War Cry when both are active and making Valk immune to status effects, and cutting the energy drain from 15/s to 10/s.

There's been complaints about this change, some of them I understand because health-tanking is a lot riskier on Steel Path, but the biggest whiners of this change are guys who regularly do level cap i.e. where game balance is thrown out the window and no average player will ever consider (unless you're a grognard who did that TennoCon alert several years ago). The scrubs are, of course, declaring Valk ruined forever, when the rest of the changes to her kit more than make up for it. Plus, her new Rage passive gives her a deathgate as long as she keeps up the melee offensive.

Moving away from the scrubs, there are some proposals for buffing health tanking that I agree with, mainly because it keeps toxin damage from oneshotting any player that isn't wearing overguard.

We're not really in the same situation as a few years ago. I've run into a new player who did level cap Cascade around MR6 since it only takes about an hour and was apparently recommended as a plat farming mechanism. Finishing your SP Circuit in one run will take you to the level cap too, although that's both a farm that you can complete once you have the Incarnons and offers ludicrous buffs to make it easier. Even aside from that, EDA and ETA are the standard weeklies at around level 500 and that's already around the point where Valkyr's ability to health tank will start to struggle, while also being the only place where a lot of people will ever have incentive to play her. The deathgate only lasts three seconds, so if you're relying on it, that's how long you'll have to rebuild it.
You can always just equip Catalysing Shields, of course, but shield gating on anyone other than Khora is a miserable experience.
Ultimately, Valkyr is going from being good in one niche to losing that for extra damage that she didn't really need, since spinning with her claws was already good enough to kill level cap enemies.

I'm in this camp, at least. Health tanking just doesn't work with the current state of the game; at least Valkyr being reworked to fit a role that doesn't exist is bringing attention to that.

Yeah, the playerbase can engage in all the degenerate coomer chat they desire, even in a game with lots of underage players, but if you make fun of their degeneracy, you're gone.

Heads up. The Isleweaver update dropped, and to play both the new Duviri gamemode and get Oraxia, you'll have to complete The Hex quest (that means getting your relationship values to Rank 3 at minimum).

Updated this fairly late because I was waiting for hotfixes.

I rushed the crafting of Oraxia and so far she is pretty crazy.
She makes orbs for everyone constantly so the team it's basically impossible to run out of energy. Her web CCs entire rooms and her spider latching onto walls is really fun and useful as it makes you invisible, gives you extra damage (especially with Arcane Arachne).
The spiders she creates with her 3 from enemies are based on the enemy level and they afflict enemies with impact procs, so her finisher (her 1) can be used to instakill even higher tier enemies provided they don't have overguard.

Honestly, she's one of the coolest frames released in a long time. She kinda feels like a mix of Nidus, Saryn and Protea.

Do the devs still insist upon making their players farm some new piece of shit that they’ll use once in an entire questline (Necromechs) with every major update, solely to gate progression? I keep wanting to return to this game because the gunplay was fun, but last time that bullshit burned me out almost as much as being locked in for six hours in the New War where they assumed that their pretentious writing carried the awful drifter gameplay.
