So, trying Dante's augment... it's not worth using. The range is far too small, range mods only increases the buff range to allies and not the zone itself, the energy you get back per enemy doesn't scale with strength, and being per enemy (combined with the poor, unmoddable zone range) means you'll basically get no energy back while your teammates nuke everything. What a waste of an augment. Seriously, what is the point of adding an enemy cap limit of 10 if you're not going to let me mod the range of the fieldzone.
I've noticed the storyquests have actually gotten a lot better ever since she was put at the helm (the difference between natah, second dream, and sacrifice to Whispers In The Wells, The Hex, And Old Peace is miles apart)
There is the issue where it feels like DE is leaving too many plotlines laying around for the future. I understand wanting to leave something for later, but the issue with leaving plotlines lying around is that you'll eventually trip on them.

Yeah. but if it comes down to it. I'd rather have a lot of loose threads to theorize about than something completely spartan.

"Hey!"

Trying out Nidus, he's definitely a lot better with the recent changes. Being able to get minutes worth of Persistance with your companion who can get six figures worth of health, healing more HP than Persistence lets through, doing considerable damage with your maggots.

Oh, I'm sure it's leading to somewhere, but fuck me if it doesn't feel like DE is blueballing us.

This update is kind of a miss. The story, as is tradition at this point, just starts in the middle of a plot that has no introduction.
Why were vena and ryoku made into protoframes? How did they travel back from the future and bring an entire army with them? How do the new protoframes get involved in with S/O? Guise, they offhand mentioned cephalon parvos, time to soyface! Are they actually going to explain that? No, and we will learn literally nothing about either alternate bad future. Where was the operator in all of that? Who knows. Does Umbra have any kind of reaction to seeing a warframe baby, which does not bring it the same suffering that Umbra's transformation did? No, he just kind of stands there.
That's just a few things I can think of, I'm sure I could expand this section ten(no)-fold if I sat with it for a while. It wasn't all terrible.
Hunhow with dementia saying "Hello, little maker. How may I serve?" had me looking like the withered wojak. I just wish the overall quest was longer or simpler in order to make it more coherent.

I'm very tired of the void magic shenanigns, especially when they won't even commit to exploring the premises they use it to create. I'm very tired of protoframes at this point, they are changing the aesthetic of the game for the worse to appeal to normies who hate scifi.

Steel path railjack is pretty memes, its not worth playing until they give us new tools because everything is a sponge even with a fully built ship. Best strategy seems to be Nokko built for the energy shroom so you can spam the swarm missiles. I don't know what happned or if they fixed it, but on launch day you couldn't pick up energy orbs in the pilot seat anymore, which made dispensary very tedious because you would have to keep getting off the pilot seat to collect then go back in.

On the flipside, even the redditors are annoyed at the new protoframes (including that DE is ramping up their frequency) and their lack of lore (for the time being).

Yeah like
it was an okay quest, 6.5/10
I would rather have explored each timeline somehow to merge them rather than skip right to the bit where Hunhow does the thing.

The brothers' ult having a LOS check when the damn thing is already moving us around a bunch makes it feel weaker than it is. I get they want to avoid letting us effortlessly nuke rooms, but Uriel's ult feels a lot better to get off in comparison.

Me too. That Vena's lore only makes a passing reference to "Cephalon Parvos" indicates some serious shit went down in her timeline.

Update on the current state of the thing.
Hi Tenno!

There’s been a lot of discussion following the release of Jade Shadows: Constellations, and we want to thank everyone who has submitted feedback or bug reports thus-far. In this thread, we want to take a moment to talk about a specific element of the update: Steel Path Railjack.

As explained in Rebecca’s video last night on Prime Time, Steel Path Railjack was rushed to deliver and Railjack fans may be understandably disappointed with the implementation of it. A common thread we’ve seen from players is the lack of incentive to grind Steel Path, so we are working on adding MKIV Armaments to the mission droptables.

These Armaments will also be added to the Protoframe’s “loaner” Railjacks in the Uranus Proxima, which will help address power concerns in the Steel Path versions of those missions.

We’ll continue monitoring Steel Path Railack feedback both externally and internally as we see what other changes can be made, but that’s all we have to share on this topic for the time being! For wider issues related to the new game modes, please keep an eye on our Known Issues thread.

Thanks again, Tenno, and best of luck on your space-faring adventures!

Line of sight in this game is just utter garbage, that's the only issue. You could physically be able to see two enemies but, whoops, one has 65% of his hitbox behind the other one? He's not in line of sight, sorry. The worst part is that because of how some tilesets work compared to others, those LoS abilities will be strictly better on certain tiles for no discernible. Absolute trash.

DE fixed the issue of getting duplicate drops from the new missions until you relog into the game. Now you get no drops. :smug:

Tbf, reb is a rare case of a community manager actually giving a fuck about the community. So I give her a lot of leeway when it comes to retarded decisions.
I've noticed the storyquests have actually gotten a lot better ever since she was put at the helm (the difference between natah, second dream, and sacrifice to Whispers In The Wells, The Hex, And Old Peace is miles apart)
So I play nice and give her a bit of grace.
Story content got better mostly because of increased budget and better tech, none of which is something she's directly responsible for.
The actual story as far as writing goes, with all the Eternalism bullshit, IMO just got worse over time. Presentation improved, but the actual lore is a fucking mess because of questionable writing decisions.
Reb's strong suit is being in touch with the playerbase and focusing on addressing feedback, which resulted in a steady stream of QoL improvements and reworks ever since she was put in charge. The game is over a decade old, it has a lot of technical baggage, it needs streamlining and condensation, which is something they've been doing over the past couple years.

Game got better in just about every way, except for the story. The way it was handled following The Sacrifice has been mostly to the game's detriment, causing me to stop caring about it at all.

Warframe always stubbornly insisted on its unique artstyle, it was one of the main reasons behind its appeal. But it's indeed been leaning toward more mainstream aesthetic in many aspects over the past few years, slowly losing its identity.
Doesn't help that the man responsible for creating its distinct style left at some point and sadly passed away due to cancer recently. One of the OG developers who took his position and kept it faithful to the original vision, Geoff Crookes, moved on to work on Soulframe instead. It's all new people now, and I gotta say, Nuframe is kinda gay.

The fact that one of the sons is coded internally as an exaulted weapon is proof enough of that.
The game consists of at least 50% reused code and shortcuts like this. If it works, it works... until it breaks, which happens a lot.
Results speak for themselves though, they're pretty efficient and wouldn't have gotten this far otherwise.

Yeah, the fact that they can trim half a GB without losing any content while adding more to the game speaks volumes to that.
