It's what you get for being the inferior stealthy legion. Hydra Dominatus...
The Alpha Legion has always been loyal to the emperor though in a very super secret mission that they can't tell anybody about there will only be revealed when GW stops letting Dan Abnett write the alpha legion

All two Ravensisters were jumping for joy at a named character and not a praetor. When people accuse GW of using AI to design their stuff, this is what they are talking about.

Get what deserve unfortunately, for picking such an imperfect and flawed legion.
jesus, ravenfags stay losing apparently. its so overproduced and busy, just as bad as any of the nurglemarines. And the color, jesus christ these niggas stumbled HARD. the most eye catching thing on this model is BROWN HOLSTERS. the cape is also entirely useless, it doesn't draw the eye at all or add anything meaningful to the silhouette. The blue sphere thing up top also blends into the rest of the model.

all in all, best legion stay winning by sheer fact of being totally ignored by GW's incompetent retard artists. Glory to the Urizen

Unironically true. The Alpha Legion is loyal to the Emperor and Humanity, not the Imperium. And also it looks likely that Alpharius will return in due time, what with the Alpha Legion actually reforming as a legion proper and not merely being scattered warbands. The major chaos lord of theirs is imprisoned/dead and all the signs point to Total Alpha Legion Victory. Cabaltroons 0 : Alpharius-Omegon Chads ∞

Well there’s so much wrong with the model, the excessive bulk and ornamentation on what is essentially an operator marine, the nu-mkiv stylings, it doesn’t look like the character it’s supposed to be and the pose, mother of God, the “Batman cape grab” pose is so limpdick.

How about they just stop letting Dan write at all, him using the HH finale to set up his books was peak nu-Wars cringe. Makes me think of a certain gay wolfman.

Why do you hurt me so? I mean, you arent wrong, but wasnt isstvan bad enough?
Sorry bro, I’ve been on that victory lap with my legion eating good, with content and models that is, the rules are awful.

Yeah he had to be pulled in with a lot of those books and setting up his dumb little side plots was terrible. In fact the whole perpetual thing was just terrible.

And Terra sinking into the warp was so pointless because if time was stagnant while the walls were breached there was zero point to him lowering the shield and having BigE board his ship whereas older lore established they did it because Guilliman was on his heels forcing it as a time component which made no sense because time was essentially stalled.

My favorite part about the Votann is that they're so generic and forgetable that almost everyone i see who likes them just repeats "Rock and Stone" over and over since there are no actually unique things or memes about them.

They didnt have the balls to pump up the grimdark space super capitalists to a T or atleast go full bore on ripping off the grudges from Fantasy didnt they? I know one of their shitty 10th ed rules is grudge themed but does it actually matter for their fluff?

Votan is they would be a lot more interesting as a faction if GW leaned more into their use of AI.

Specifically no, but you could make the claim that because somehow their brain data gets uploaded to the votan themselves when they're dead and then that data is used to make the replacement clone, and their psykers also upload data about their travels to the votan using the warp(it's poorly explained of course) that the grudges might influence things that way? There's also the matter of oaths being the most important thing ever, but that's no different than space marines at that point, it's just that their oaths could be about anything not necessarily just battle. I'm almost done with that High Kahl's Oath book, but holy fuck is it boring.

Someone's gotta finish the Bequin trilogy, and no one will bother if not him, sadly.

I've always wanted a proper AI faction. Give us more robots, give the Mechanicus their 30k robots, reprint that one man of iron model. The Votann can even take it one step further what with them being clones, basically biological robots. Lean into the fact that they're not unique from one another, so much so that the Votann are backed up by all their repeat personalities. Have this creep out xenos and confuse the Imperium, have them at odds with part of the Mechanicus who refuse to tell the rest of the Imperium because they want their tech for themselves since it's all technically human archeotech. Hell, that'd make for one hell of a box set for two hard to come by armies.

I think we just reinvented Necrons.

Don't forget the totally legitimate war machine plot line in the victory books of Gaunt's ghosts I totally did not forget that both of these characters were opposed to be male in the siege of Irvenhive and totally didn't pull that plot line out of my **** because I'm an idiot.
Step one create extremely powerful war machine that can literally shred in tile companies of Stormtroopers.
Step two use this to infiltrate the first and only providing them with an extremely powerful basically Invincible Soldier
Step three after you have basically been defeated have them attack the ghosts but they've also capable of developing emotions so them immediately getting killed.
Brilliant plan.

Step four completely never finish the ghost Series and just write a bunch of books no one wants to read like a sequel to double equal which everyone totally wanted member Double Eagle.
Sandy Mitchell is a better writer because at least the cane archives are basicallbadly
Also kill off beloved characters because you're too lazy to actually write satisfying endings for any of them.

I wanted to get into Kill Team because I like skirmish games and it would have a cheaper barrier to entry than regular 40k.

So I bought a box of Primaris Incursors/Infiltrators because they seemed cool and unlike the regular Primaris I thought you could assemble any unit (well, any Incursor/Infiltrator unit) with just that box.

Turns out it doesn't include the bits for the medic/commjammer guys, maybe some others I'm forgetting.

Really lame. I'm starting to think 40k just isn't worth it if there's always gonna be humps to jump through.

I THINK I can still make a sufficient army list with the bits I have but...I dunno, I just feel kinda empty and a bit cheated.

KT transitioned away from the "build a kill team using your existing army" ages ago, and they want you to buy the specific KT boxes instead. In a way it's a good thing in that it allows someone to buy 1 box and be able to play, and only a few of them off the top of my head actually need you to buy 2 boxes to get all of the options(the inquisitor retinue comes to mind), but it's also shit because it means even if you've already got thousands of points of an army you still need to go buy the KT specific stuff. You'll also need to do something about the dozen or so types of tokens you need to play the game as well.

Yeah, GW wanted you to spend the extra $15 bucks on the Kill Team specific Phobos set. I don't think you need to be too disheartened though, the Phobos team is probably one of the easier ones to kinda handwave so long as you make your dudes look kinda sorta like what they are supposed to. They dont look all that different from each other to be honest. If you haven't fully assembled all of them, I'd recommend making 1-2 of them with a bolt pistol and knife for a Reiver Sergeant and Warrior

If you are eyeballing any other teams here's a guide I shamelessly stole from /tg/

lol, lmao

Yeah. I think I have an army’s worth of various KTs. And then there’s the terrain, all the markers, etc. And believe me you’re going to want terrain because doing one thing for so long gets boring.

It really depends. You’ll want to buy 2 boxes usually because then you’ll get the full range and all the options. You COULD just say “Yeah this guy is actually X despite the fact he has Y” and that’ll be okay with casual games at least. What’s really fucking annoying is when they do a new release and the KT you get with it is 2-3 box KT and then you have to be quite prudent with your choices. Also FUCK YOU GW FOR THAT. Fucking Inquistorial Agents took forever to finally fill out and I’m left with extras you can’t even use on the board.

Anyway, here’s a guide I took off /tg/ for everything released so far.

Mother of God, nothing builds hype for a new army then the entire range being sold out for months and box selling out in seconds.

“We’ll let you have Maulerfiends but no Forgefiends.”

Funniest and ballsiest GW-thing in years, give that man a raise.

I did buy this guy and the Lucius book.

To convert into a Chaos Lord (or whatever term they made up for the EC line) and to ensure Chemosian cotton is harvested in a timely and aesthetically pleasing manner. By my friend’s Salamanders ideally.
