Ya know, I'll make an exception to this one. It's kinda funny and def wouldn't mind having it.
Eh, it’d have been funnier with it was a Goff Stormboy since they’re actually based off Nazis, and that actually represents who Da Red Gobbo fights with.Ya know, I'll make an exception to this one. It's kinda funny and def wouldn't mind having it.
Has Snipe pooned out yet?I feel like Wib probably shouldn't be talking about punching Nazis, given that he looks like he'd struggle to beat up a cub scout.
The new ones even fail as a “collect them all” item which nobody does because if a box is found in the wild, he’s buying them all (that’s how I got my DG) because the Primaris waves are no different than what’s in the standard boxes. The Death Guard batch were some of my favorite models GW have produced in the past few years, they had so much character.
The past two batches are the epitome of generic spez mareen guy design. GW really have missed the point.
I agree on the "collect them all" point. The previous wave of Primaris turned up in the most recent Kill Team Starter box, you can just wait GW out and they'll put the models out in a cheaper and more convenient to get way.The new ones even fail as a “collect them all” item which nobody does because if a box is found in the wild, he’s buying them all (that’s how I got my DG) because the Primaris waves are no different than what’s in the standard boxes.
Primaris really do suck the fun out of 40k, unless it’s Black Templars. It’s night and day in SM2 when you’re the badass Blackshield and then a big, dumb blue Buzz Lightyear.
Personally I'm not super psyched about the idea of a Total War: 40k. I'm just not convinced that a TW style game would work well with 40k.Would this be something yall'd be interested in?
With that in mind, if you don't mind me asking, what would you say were some of your favourite pre-Primaris Space Marines?Primaris really do suck the fun out of 40k, unless it’s Black Templars. It’s night and day in SM2 when you’re the badass Blackshield and then a big, dumb blue Buzz Lightyear.
Yes, have been playing and restarting campaigns recently. Finished a Tomb Kings and High Elves campaigns last month.Anyone here play the fantasy total war game?
Yes, but I don't believe CA can pull that off even though the company's existence depends on it.Would this be something yall'd be interested in?
Dream ? Eldar, Tau, Necrons, Sisters, Chaos Marines.what would your dream starting factions be for that game?
Most likely since that's where the money is. Though Horus Heresy might be a DLC or separate game option.Do you have the game take place in the current state of the imperium?
Space Marines because money, and then I would make a guess and say Chaos, Eldar and Orks. Don't think CA can do more or the "quality" will suffer.Who do you think would be the essential factions for release of something like that?
Not sure if genuine attempt to get me to respond or a bit snarky, though that might be the alcohol speaking.I'm guessing @I Know 孤独のせい would have some opinions
Sternguard veterans, other than containing the headsculpts for Titus and Sidonus, you got tons of parts leftover for juicing up regular squads and you could build it so no two looked alike. With that in mind, if you don't mind me asking, what would you say were some of your favourite pre-Primaris Space Marines?
I was out of the hobby for a long while, might've missed some good stuff GW aren't making anymore and there are some pretty good recasters out there.
Definitely genuine you'd know if I was ribbing you. Franz pfp and all I was curious. I think if they followed the map system of gothic armada 2 it would work out. CA would have to get over their fear of naval (space) battles though. As a vampire coast enjoyer I hate their lack of functionality and I resent ca for thatNot sure if genuine attempt to get me to respond or a bit snarky, though that might be the alcohol speaking.
If CA does the thing that is needed for the game to work and for the company to continue, i.e. develop a new engine that can handle 40K, I would bet that gothic armada style battles would be implemented as DLC down the line.Definitely genuine you'd know if I was ribbing you. That would indeed be cool, but I think the ship has sailed on that one. Maybe CA Sofia as a side project if we get lucky.I want Victorian Age Total War
Agree and disagree. The game could use a lot of tidying up but compared to the entire franchise, except maybe Attila, still mindboggling how it's still one of the best TW games to this day.Shogun 2 was perfect
So it's the customisation that is missing?Sternguard veterans, other than containing the headsculpts for Titus and Sidonus, you got tons of parts leftover for juicing up regular squads and you could build it so no two looked alike.
The Space Marine Commander kit, none of this “Primaris Captain with power sword” nonsense, this kit was “build a hero” and had every wargear option, plenty of cosmetic options and wasn’t overpriced. Needs to come back for both settings.
Death Company, soulful, lots of options, so much so that you could upgrade a standard tactical squad into Death Company bros with the leftover parts. They new Death Company is just an alternate scheme, no bits, no kit. Death Company are the best thing from the Blood Angels, they are the only sons of Sanguinius who aren’t flaming homos and they ruined them.
The old Chaos Space marine squad, loads of heads, specific parts for Khorne, Slaanesh, Nurgle and Tzeentch alignments, a proper held standard and the trim wasn’t fucking insane.
The Forgeworld Plague Marine upgrade kit, legendary sculpts, never to be topped.
Really, I liked the kits where in-theory, you only got five dudes but it felt like an upgrade kit for regular marines as well, everything wasn’t the same armor mark either, you had snoot helmets, relic HH-era helmets, the iconic Darth Vader helmet (fuck them for trying to disappear it) and if you were buying the “chapter version” of standard space marines, it felt unique, they drowned you in customization options that incentivized the big five chapters and their own ranges rather than, “Mark X, slightly different poses, new shoulders and heads”
