Well, i found a great tutorial that lists the paints I need, so I will be going with that.

OK, decided to start an Empire army with one of there asian Analogues as a theme, I wanted to do a Cathay them, but I couldn't find good, cheap plastic 28mm empirical china models, so I went with Nippon (Warhammers analogue to japan), because wargames factory as an incredibly cheap ( less than 20 dollars for 25 models) and awesome models (they look great for what they cost and they have a ton of options and some of their blister packs can have flintlock guns)

Any one got any tips for applying Citadel grass to my bases? Mine look like balls of lint.

put some PVA glue on the base (wherever u want grass to be on; the whole thing or just little areas, whatever you want)

then dip the base in the static grass container

shake off the excess grass

let it dry

or did u already do something similar to this process?

if so then try this method: put some of this on ur base firsthttp://www.games-workshop.com/gws/c...atId=cat800008a&rootCatGameStyle=paints-tools (whichever texture suits you best) then scatter tiny little patches of PVA glue and repeat the process i crossed out above, mk?

No, I was using one I saw someone do in a video, where they put a bit of glue on the base, put some grass on it and then shook off the rest. Also, I got some more Chaos Marines.

Just the shit in the starter set, my friend is still finisheing up his shit and we will be heading up to a game store that his friend owns.

I spent 15 years playing 40k but I'm pretty well retired on it now , gets hard to get a game going when all the gamers you know are married with kids.
Got about 4-5000 marines, the same with chaos and 2000 in Impy guard.
Always preferred Chaos, mainly because I loved conversions.
Used to play a fuckload of Mordheim too.

i also have a box of bretonnian men-at-arns and knights.

the knight's sprues are a bitch though.

i got the fw basilisk because it goes well with the steel legion. valhallans are going to get harder to find now that they're oop.

I'm trying to distract myself from something I have no control over, so you all get to be subjected to blurry photos of my Chaos Space Marine army.

As you can see, I'm more concerned with having lots of totally metal demon worshiping space barbarians than any sort of tactics. Chosen are badass, I don't care if they suck.
