>Warhammer+ is hyping a Tau codex versus Raven Guard battle report

What did I say Raven Guard are the marines they use to show xenos get victories.
Shouldn't in-lore the Raven Guard absolutely dominate against the Tau? The usual marines will bash their heads against the wall of guns, the Raven Guard will just spawn in the middle of the Tau lines only to immediately vanish.

They should, since they're supposed to be the chapter that's all about stealth.

I would have rather seen the T'au square off against the Death Guard, since they're supposed to be fighting them because of the Startide Nexus.
The T'au don't have a lot of interaction with Chaos, and I think it'd make for some good stories to see how they react against the supernatural.
Like, how would they react if one of Abadon's Black Crusades cut through their worlds, or if they had something he really wanted?

IIRC in-lore the Tau already fucked up the Raven Guard in some books that I think were the ones that had the Tau as being able to come up with ridiculous tech mid-conflict and have Shadowsun kill a Raven Guard's Chapter Master by drawing him out in the open like a retard.

Corsairs, I'm guessing aren't going to be a full on Eldar army? But instead are going to be just a Kill Team thing, with maybe the ability to bring them with your Eldar as a squad or s...

OH.

ooooh.

This is how they're going to be bringing Squats back. Same thing. As a Kill Team with the option to bring them as a squad in an Imperial army.
The eldar codex leaked so we already have confirmation a squad of corsairs can be taken as an elite choice. Valrak said he had a source that said Squats would have more than just a kill team (Source Trust Me Bro) he's been pretty spot on recently but so have a lot of people.

I'm all for bringing Squats back and pretending the Demiurg don't exist. Worst Tau ally race.

do you have a pdf for the infinte and the divine?
Seconded.
Also, are Necrons fun to play? I’m just a few steps away from actually starting, and I’m leaning towards them, especially with the recruit edition I mentioned buying a few pages back having a decent spread of units. What’s a good basecoat for them? I have no idea if black would be a worse bet than something metallic or not. Most of the models look spindly enough that I would have little issue basecoating in steel or brass with the brush my paint kit came with.

I play Necrons but my last game was last year so I can't say much on how good they are right now. They are fun. Most models look cool, there aren't so many units that they start blending together, but there are still multiple ways to build an army. I don't play competitively but they're great casually. When you say starting are you completely new?

Painting them is extremely easy. Black base coat and some metal over that looks okay. They do have a lot of surface area so it can be a little time-consuming but it's still very easy. You also don't have that many models to worry about. You could just spray a metal on if you really don't care too much. I did that back in third. If you do want to play competitively you might need three colors, depending on where you play.

Necrons have just gotten a buff from the new chapter approved but are quite fun to play. As for basecoat you can pick anything, a dark silver spray all over followed by a bright silver directly from above and you’re model is 75% complete.
You’ve picked the easiest army in the game to paint and you’re gonna thank yourself for that because I sure as hell did when I painted mine.

Completely new. Have the 2nd-tier starter box that came with some Primaris Marines, Bikes, a guy with a shield, some scarab swarms, some Necron warriors, and some more ‘crons that escape me. The guy at my local GW store convinced me to pick up a can of Chaos Black spray and a beginner paint kit.

This isn’t just an exciting time for Aeldari, but for all Warhammer 40,000 xenos players – after the craftworlds touch down, there’s something gribbly and chitinous coming. We don’t want to say too much right now, but there are lots of them, they’ve come a long way, and they’re VERY hungry. For biomass. Okay, you forced it out of us – it’s the Tyranids.
Nid Codex is next apparently.
That's fine.
I still have my pile of shame to go through until the CSM Codex arrives.

You don't have to do black or metallic, I've seen some with fleshy death mask that make them look like ivory

They look badass
