I put together the 2 models that come in the getting started magazine. Something minor I noticed is that the contact points from the sprue show up more strongly on the marine than the necron, but I’m not sure if that’s an innate thing from having smooth surfaces or if I cut them off the sprue wrong.
 
Played a game of 40k for the first time in a few years yesterday with a friend, still good fun, 3 hours went by like it was nothing.
 
Next weeks Warhammer Imperium is the Canoptek Spyder. For £8.99 that is an absolute steal and I plan on ordering two of them if they aren’t all purchased by bots first.

What exactly is Warhammer Imperium and do the GW stores carry them? I also don’t know if the spider is a good unit or not but I’m going to build necrons so I might as well have one.

It’s a weekly 40K magazine in bongland. GW had the first four issues in store as for other issues you may have to subscribe. There’s a list online about countries it’s currently available so check to see if yours is on the list. As a unit it’s not bad, you can give it a gloom prisim for deny the witch rolls or add another base of scarabs to a unit.
I’m gonna be doing a mini scarab farm in my list as a unit of three Spyders at first then trying three units of one.
 
So with the recent amazon lord of the rings rumblings is now a good time to buy whatever LOTR models you want before the shit has a resurgence again.
