I actually saw a few people complaining about this despite it being a fairly standard Luetin video, my guess is either a few think that doing any sponsored content puts him on the same level of shill as Valrak, or one or two Arch fans mad that the "better" loretuber got shafted.

I can't understand the puritanism when the YouTubers need to actually get a wage. It's far more respectable that advertising Manscape like Arch does.

The video itself is kinda meh. Most of it is 40k lore 101 and the specific info about the world is the usual basic hive history (logical considering the Devs don't want to spoil any plot revelation). I'd recommend it for anyone new to the series that could stomach a long lore video.

I finished these metal 2nd edition plague marines yesterday, had to improvise a bit since I lacked the proper arms, so they're all brofisting now. Also not sure about the left one and his bone sword or whatever that is. They look better IRL to be honest.

Its looks like the warmth of the picture is off, but looks alright otherwise.
 
Did we get any word of the plastic Sicaran having different turrets? I'm fond of the Sicaran Arctus and Venator.

All the Sicaran variants are still available on FW, so my guess is the plastic Sicaran only has the vanilla turret and you'll still have to spring for the expensive resin if you want one of the others, at least for the time being.

You mean like proxies or third party models? Sure, as long as you don't try to take it to a GW store or event. Local game groups and stores are usually more laid back about that kind of thing.
 
Apologies I meant rules wise for the army. The homebrew I have in mind is pretty blinged up though, so it might end up being like a 50/50 split I think. The plan was to run them with the blood angels rules.

I mean there is a reason there are a gorrilion blood angels that are not red or red but not apart of the blood angels chapter.
 
Someone at GW really, really likes Witch Elves. They're supposed to be glass cannons but they're all cannon, no glass. And don't get me started on Morathi.

GW stores can eat my whole ass. They should be about making the "official" stuff desirable, not punishing fans making the stuff that they won't.

Next Squat Lore Drop

Cogbois on genocide watch, Squats have sentient robots. They're ancient tech, followed the squats in their initial forays into Space pre-Golden(early or mid?) considered equals to organics squats and designed to be very hard to kill their sentience. I know GW never settles a mystery as an absolute (like the probably Man of Iron in Blackstone Fortress), but I wonder if this is a take on being a "is it a Man of Stone" speculation.

I do like that they have a similar asthetic to Kastellons. Both are suppose to be ancient tech from before the end of the Golden Age of Tech, so I find it fitting.

EDIT: Ninjaed by @HTTP Error 404 by seconds. I don't think they are Men of Iron, UR-025 has a much different aesthetic.
