Pistols are from Intercessors data sheet, and it's just the two examples wife had so far off Bolt weapons. Plus weapons in 10th are no longer going to be uniform, each weapons characteristic are determined by their Dataslate, and it's entirely possible to have multiple weapons with the same name and different stats(we've already been told this will be the case for chainswords).
Then.... why are we talking about all X are going to be bad with no idea if they're even going to have the same stats squad to squad.

I decided to try and get through the siege of terra because despite it all I'm curious how things will end and I do recall BL marketing it as not needing to read most of the HH to get it and around 2 books I feel that was kinda a flat out lie.
It still feels like I'm missing half the story with the amount of characters they use and offer only the briefest explanation, first book is a good example of this because I probably wouldn't have given two shits about the Lokan b plot if I hadn't read the first 3 books, and I feel like I probably should of cared more about Sigismund and the new word bearer priest that's replaced Erubus. Second book wasn't as bad but still feels like I'm missing some minor plot points regarding sanguinius and the Kahn.
I have a sinking feeling I'm probably gonna have to consult that god damn flowchart for reading order or spend a day or two coaming the wiki about any character who isn't a primarch and or first captain of a legion.

I did some math so I could bitch about GW's prices more. In 10th, you will be able to select up to 6 of the same "battleline" unit. There's speculation that Necron flayed ones might be battleline because they're currently an elite unit and don't really deserve it, and there's not a Necron troop unit with a melee weapon. If they are, that means you could potentially have 6 units of 20, or 120 models. A pack of 5 is $55, so $11/model. That's $1,320 in models before shipping. They're basically the same model as Necron warriors which are cheap as dirt.

Space marines have been pathetic since 4th ed.

Supposed to be master of all trades, but they are in game master of nothing, really.

Recently they've had their moments of being overpowered. Iron Hands were the strongest list that 8e saw and briefly had their moment in the spotlight in 9e, although Dark Angels are the current best army in the meta.

Im already sick of people talking about 10th ed. Like yes, it obviously makes sense to make to be skeptical of GW. But people trying to extrapolate a whole edition from 2.5 data sheets and having the most brainlet takes and complaints imaginable is already out of hand.

Same. Like, yeah, this edition is probably gonna have badly written rules and shit that doesn't make sense, that's par for the course with GW, but let's ease up on the doomposting until it's actually out and we can get a feel for how it works.

I looked up why Warhammer disables comments on their youtube videos and its filled with corporate apologists acting like its a good thing. I get there's some goobers in the comments section but why are these tards acting like banning discussion is a good thing

They once forgot to turn off their comments.
For 30 minutes it was shitty memes and people complaining about how GW is overpriced.
I liked it, but I don't imagine corporate GW likes to have their brand even remotely tarnished.

More likely will be the endless spamming of "why no female space marines?" or some other "diversity" cause, or the sperging over Author's tweets or novel depiction of a character so fuck dealing with any of that shit from either side.

Saw some video about a twat claiming the 10th edition trailer is invoking the Holocaust though in a roundabout way he's saying they're bug people. Not sure if it's been posted somewhere else or if the Ad Astra guy has their own thread as seems like typical leftist current thing account.

depends if the shills can out-delete the memes, because youtube comments can be pretty hilarious sometimes - just check any disney comment section or lot of other corporate/wokeshit.

doomposting is just a way to vent frustration with GW while still being able to justify being a paypiggie.

Love those Harlequins.

Re iridescent Tyranids: I did this on a bunch of mine long long ago to see how it looked; this was at least 10 years back so I had to use 'normal' acrylics rather than wargaming ranges. I wanted that bright blue-green flash over black that scarabs have on the nid chitin.

I can confirm that especially on your larger bugs, it looks absolutely boss. Particularly in a well lit table setting or on a well lit shelf. The chitin plates on the big bugs are big enough to let the duochrome flashing show both colours. The Trygons and for some reason the Tyrant Guard looked amazing. The duochrome effect in the paint does all the work for you.

Every post announcing a new model would have links to pirate STL versions that are probably better in the comments within seconds. There'd also be hundreds of people bitching about balance, warning people away from whatever they're selling, etc. It'd be horrific.
Why the fuck would people post STL links underneath GW's comments? that's asking to get those STLs wiped off the internet.

On the topic of STLs, how many of you pirate STLs? Where can I go to get ahold of pirated STLs or trade?
