And the funniest part is that there's an informal color code surrounding it, as well.

There's nothing informal about it. Every good Boy worth his choppa knows that yellow goes boom, black is dead hard, blue is lucky, red makes you go faster, and purple is for being sneaky.

If I ever get deeply invested in 40k army wise, this is how I'm painting my Boyz. Can't wait to paint a Stompa up like that lol.

Just this but more purple accents, yes... yes! Then put this on a shelf or table next to my future IG army in a wonderful display of brutality.

Why don't Eldar just go full monke mode like the Exodites?
Same reason most of us don't fancy living in a commune.

Although damn if it wouldn't be kickass to live in a psychic-atuned commune where they let you ride dinosaurs.

As for "invading Commoragh", Vect periodically allows for incursions into some of the pocket side-dimensions just to cull the numbers of his opponents. If he fancies it he'll even stage his own death, complete with theatrically augmented battles.

this "throw money at the easily foreseeable problem at the last minute" is somehow the industry norm these days in TV production.
The money will keep flowing. Everything that is "woke" has the (((usual suspects))) pouring money into it. They will never run out of money and it is there for them to spend.

As for the WH40K show, I have little to no hope.
This was peak WH40K video entertainment and we may never see the likes of it again, just like those lost STCs.

I guess the Astartes Project guy also worked on Pariah Nexus. I preferred his work before GW hired him.

It's really sad that I am excited about the new Army Painter box, I am just going to shell out for the 216 paints as I have a big group to paint. Where I am GW is the most accessible as a few places have supply issues with the other brands.

A friend asked for a 1000-point game and I have not made a list yet but I have like 40 Dark Angel terminators. Oddly enough Warhammer reddit groups I find more tolerable than Youtube.

I’ve heard bad stuff about army painter but that’s from /tg/ and that board is a spergfest. I’d recommend pro acryl for a go-to brand, especially their bold titanium white it’s bout only white worth a shot

I need to get some of that white. I've heard nothing but good things.

I've used some of the AP Speedpaints and have generally been happy with them, though my experience with the rest of their range is minimal. Duncan's Two Thin Coats range is also worth a look, in my opinion. I backed the Wave 1 paints and have been happy with what I got.

I’ve also heard people just buy normal bold titanium white paint you can find at hobby lobby etc and thin it down, anything would be better than the whites GW offers. My
brother got the big full set of AP speed paints 2.0 for Christmas waiting for him to get his lazy ass in gear and get to painting so I can see the results cause I’ve only used GW contrast paints for that style of paint

My Rogue Trader reprint arrived.

Partner got it off the porch and said "More Warhammer More Often?" citing the W+ ad on the packing tape. I told them what that was all about - namely, Warhammer becoming more of a subscription service. The eyeroll and walking-off was... Well. I wish you could've seen it.

That was two years ago. Then they "fixed" the watered down, poor binding resin paints, at the cost of giving up "the reactivation effect" that had been previously described. Then, they released speed paints 2.0 in order to take away from citadel's overpriced contrast paints. And as of end of last year to now, yet another full overhaul to their whole range which is actually decent.
Won't blow you away if you're used to AK and vallejo, but it's good to have cheaper, high quality alternatives to citadel's cost per pot.

Are the lasrifles carried by the Krieg meant to look like BARs? Because they really, really do.

I would not be surprised, but I cannot see the resemblance.
It's mainly from the end of the barrel to the shape of the magazine. I didn't really get an good look at the grip, though.

BARs didn't usually have bayonets, though, but who ever said 40k was accurate?
Yeah, but an bipod in 40k wouldn't be as useful as an bayonet.
Star Wars is known for modifying real world weaponry so why not WH40K
Yeah, but with 40k it's mainly just take an Mark IV and pop on an turret or some extra sponsons and just call it a day. Everything else is basically an energy weapon in the mold of something that realistically exists or it's something mundane, like an Terminator lugging around an Gau-8 Avenger while listening to classical music or something
