You hit on my main gripe with the game: the huge alpha strikes and the sheer boredom of waiting for it to be your turn. There needs to be much more player exchange, or start small and escalate up as the game progresses.

Me and a friend have done a few IG vs Ork matches. The downtime can be quite long.
Hence the new Kill Team rules, which let you use your 40k minis for MUCH smaller squad-based battles.

Also, there's nothing so amusing as triggering a 40k fanboy by pointing out that Battletech handles simultaneous movement and combat better than 40k ever did. :unholy:

Kill Team is a better game than 40k, hands down. Many aspects of AOS are better than 40k too, since a first turn loss is exceedingly uncommon, and requires a really bad setup that deserves a fist turn wrecking.

What I personally love about Kill Team, though, is that the game system makes Lictors what they were always meant to be.

Time wise I was actually impressed with how the game ran, it's still as long as a movie but for all the rolls and number of units or moved reasonably well. I may think d6 is too small of a die, but everything running off of the same die does help with the literal bucket loads needed.

Balancing this game would seem like a nightmare. The incredibly strong lore of the game seems like a minor boon, as I feel it encourages some players to go for who they like over what is the most competitive. That's why I pinged on the d6 being a problems.

Never give them an inch. You want female space Marines use the sisters of Battle. They use bolters and power armor with out being genetically modified into a super soldier. Yeah they don't do it as well, by the fact that they are not made into merely more human than humanoid killing machine. But they use the same gear and fight the same horrors, as those super humans.

These asshats only want female Marines because they are popular. These types don't care about Sisters of Battle, they probably don't know about them, they just know Space Marines are popular and they want to try and change them for a power trip.

Hell, I don't think most people would be bothered by just head cannoning your Chapter as a secretly lost primarch descended chapter whose seed works on females. I think GW had stated that's why the lost primarchs exist and are practically never filled in on, so you can do whatever you want in making your own chapter.

The gene seed pretty much eliminates all secondary sexual characteristics anyways, a female space marine probably would look almost exactly like a male, they are practically asexual anyways.
Sisters of Battle are cooler than space marines anyway.

Ah, theyre the little plastic Titanicus ones, like seen above, not full size resin titans.
Somehow I'm disappointed. I've considered getting into Titanicus but it's somewhat expensive and doesn't really have an introductory box. Is it any good? I'm curious if it manages to hold up to the old Epic rules.

It solely focused on titan on titan warfare, so it won't scratch your Epic itch (I am kinda hopeful that they are testing the waters for a Epic reboot with this). That said it is one of the better games GW has put out recently (as in it is an actual self contained game, not a repackaged box of WH40K figures masquerading as a new tabletop game).

I guess the closest comparison to Adeptus Titanicus would be naval combat. Things happen slowly, firing arcs are limited and maneuvering takes time. Taking down larger targets often requires massive volumes of focused fire from multiple units to take the void shields down and then breach the armor. The pace overall is somewhat slower than in 40K since in many cases you cannot outright shoot or charge the opponent off the table and rather go for the objectives while softening your enemy with harassing fire, looking for potential kills if it results in shield failure. Significant part of the game is managing the reactor and shields of each individual titan. You can push the reactor to gain bonuses on movement, void shields and guns, but overheating the reactor will cause the void shields to crash and eventually the whole titan to melt down unless the repair crew manages to bring the heat levels down.

I'd advice to at least watch a game being played, preferably playing one with borrowed miniatures before investing in it, since at core it plays different compared to the other GW games.

Wish the titan game had the Lucius pattern stuff.

Though i would recommend painting all the little details on the epic titans, not just the iridescent metallic spray.

I say fuck female Space Marines because Sisters of Battle already exist and provide exactly what they want: a bunch of power-armoured ladies that show off their vaginal status since few of them wear helmets, all the paladin/angelic motifs under the sun, and being OP too since none of them have gone Chaos (bar one). It's exactly what they want already, the Sisters just haven't had great support since the complainers don't actually buy/play/paint the game, only whinge.

Imperial Guard is a different story - they're the meat and potatoes of humanity's military, and there have already been female regiments in the old codex illustrations. It also works thematically if they're losing billions of people per day that they need to throw everyone into the mix to come out on top.

I know a place for russia made kriegers, but I got barely ebough time to paint my bloody magpies.

It must be stated that the Infernal Enrapturess is one of the best Daemon models. Can't wait to paint mine! I'm usually more of a Nurgle guy but since I've all but finished my Nurgle Daemons, Slannesh is next. I'll probably go Tzeentch in a couple of years.

They may be OP in lore, but those Exorcist tanks are their only serious ace card. Saint Celestine may hit like a truck but her 3 toughness means she takes wounds VERY easily.

Are you implying the Corpse Emperor isn't just basically a poor man's Chaos God?

So I'm a huge fan of 3rd party proxies, mostly because I believe in rule of cool.

Not sure if anyone here knows of Dreamforge, but I have a lot of their plastic and it's some quality stuff. Currently I'm using tons of the stormtroopers as IG because I can't stand to paint regular guards.

They have a ks out for a new armor kit,

Was wondering what ideas people would have for proxying it in. Was thinking maybe make a raised artillery barrel because I also dislike the Basilisk kit. Thoughts?

I personally love third party proxies. (though a hover tank almost seems too advanced for the guard) I use some Russian bolt action tanks for my Vostroyans even though the scale is a tad wonky.

I’m gonna be using these as the head scults for my Tyrant’s Legion in a Badab war project I’m starting soon. Anvil makes some high quality parts and they’re surprisingly affordable.

Ya know, thinking about it, female space Marines aren't that progressive. Maybe if GW did that in the 90's I'd be impressed, but current year? No, we need a much more progressive capitulation.

Tranny Orks.

Warboss Jonn Flintwalker was always a unusual leader, but never really got special attention from the Ordo Xenos, until he in 758 M39 discovered a Space Hulk containing am unusual number of wigs and female paraphernalia. Flintwalker decided it be funner if the Humies got their butts kicked by a bunch of girls. So he gathered up the Boyz, informed them they were now the Galz, and renamed himself Bribri Kuttcok.

The poor Sector's PDF force was left wondering why the Emporers had abandoned them when a horde of greenskin attacked them, wearing blonde wigs, severely undersized and short cocktail dresses, poorly applied garish whore make up, and bras stuffed with human skulls, wielding designer purses stuffed full of adamantium spikes.

(I might of been binging a lot of Arch Warhammer on YouTube, please forgive my autism)
