Ok, I've resolved my Primaris dilemma.
- Primaris Grimaldus
- Primaris Emperor's Champion
- Primaris Sword Brethren
I think I'll introduce them in Crusade play as a Requisition upgrade.
the way to go is kitbashing monkey heads on them and see if anyone figures out they're primatis.

A thing I just don't understand honestly, isn't Battletech, like every other tabletop company which isn't GW, filled to the brim with trannies who will copyright strike Arch to oblivion the first chance they'll get?
I don't play it so I might be wrong, but I think it's more grog infested since it's more crunchy and niche. troons only infest what's popular to get the attention, so for the same reason arch won't stay with it for if he ever goes there. there's simply not enough to milk and not enough people that would care (including fasa, CGL, or whoever has the license these days).

It wouldn't be as silly if the last major named character for the SC wasn't a woman with a sidecut AND who was released five minutes ago. They should probably slow down with named SC characters altogether, let interest in them develop naturally. Maybe give fans a Hamilcar Bear-Eater before they start inventing unnecessary characters.
since you were talking about women I read that as hamilcar beef-eater, and now I'm disappointed...

Recently, I got a rulebook at the Salvation Army - it was an 8th-Ed book for an army I didn't even know was a thing yet in 40K, but was very happy to see because of just how many cool opportunities it opened up: Genestealer Cults. It also saddened me, because modern GW is shit and 9th edition has such ridiculous levels of rule bloat that just looking at it make my brain shift gears without the clutch.

I never understand the "their models are gone so they are retconned!" mentality albeit GW is more anal with we dont mention shit if they dont have models ever since chapterhouse and doesnt but leak mention 2 new guard regiments+Karkiskins too?
Who ever said theyre retconned? the mordians just had a book come out.

So a custodes model just leaked. Does not look like a character model, but the og leak says otherwise.
If it's a new troop, it could be pretty good
If it's a character, unless it has an amazing load out, or custodes are changed from the ground up in their new codex, then it's worthless.

I ducked out of 9th Edition a little while ago, starting building One Page Rules armies. My Genestealer Cults are balanced now!

Where's the leak at?

Edit: Found this on /tg/, a suspected contents of the upcoming GSC vs Custodes box:

I can't really imagine Disney being in any way less strict about copyright than GW, but regardless I can't see the audience who'd watch anything besides Warhammer vids. Star Wars EU is dead and the only people keeping out with it either already read everything or are consoomers who can stomach the new lore. Starship Troopers doesn't have any meat on it that really of any interest (as far as I aware of) being just an ideal society for the author with a very standard sci fi setting. Maybe LOTR and some DnD settings will have viewers, but the universes being "dead" for all intent and purpose kind of ruins the appeal.
I don't get what Arch means by having the hobby stolen from the fans, with today's culture it really could have come down to either being woke or greedy, and the woke would have annhilated Arch's channel without a second thought.

Arch is just anal that most of the Warhammer fandom has forgotten about him. When in doubt just try to siphon viewers from other fandoms.

If I recall correctly a lot of Archs early videos had people in the comments raving about how Warhammer 40k was not a "fallen" IP compared to Star Wars and then you still had people saying how much better warhammer was over star wars.....well that was before this recent conundrum.

To be fair, the Praetorian Guardsmen are pretty much done for. Can't have colonialism in the grim darkness of the far future, old chap! Even if Lord General Freddy Mercury Castor was clearly from Praetoria given his love of fabulous facial hair, disregard for his own men, cool manner even at gunpoint, and desire to have as many trophies as possible.

I liked Arch well enough before, and I still have sympathy towards him in regard to the unjust attacks he's taken from Warhammer-orbiting commies and GW itself, but goddamn has his attitude gotten tiresome and repulsive. Would rather he chill out on being an arrogantly-smug, naysaying crusader and just show us his worth in making good lore video content if he really wants to make a difference. And while I agree with much of his grievances about Primaris, especially when it comes to their shoddy introduction into the lore, there has to come a point when Arch, for the sake of his channel, must put an end to being immensely buttmad about them and recognize (without derision) that 40k didn't come to an end four years ago.

Valrak may be a shill, but he's a much more pleasant person to watch.

Honest opinion needed. How feasible would a death guard list be using six ten man units of plague marines all armed with bolt guns and a Sigil of Decay?

Sigil of decay - Each time an attack is made with a bolt weapon by a model in the bearers unit, an unmodified hit roll of a six automatically wounds the target

I know all weapons can wound on a six regardless but it looks like it could work well along side the Virulent Rounds Stratagem

Virulent Rounds - Use this in your shooting phase , when a death guard core unit is selected to shoot. Until the end of the phase, bolt weapons models in that unit are equipped with have the plague weapon ability.

So hit rolls of a six would wound automatically and because of the plague weapons rule I would also get re rolls on ones for wound rolls for the unit I chose. Don’t have a list as yet just some theory crafting at this time.

That's 1320 points for a 1/6 chance to auto wound and one unit rerolling wounds on your shooting phase for bolt weapons. Also, each unit can only roll a maximum of 20 dice if they either remain stationary or are within 12" of the target. That is not a great volume of fire and no AP to justify the cost.

The way I have seen plague marines being used is either to run them up in a transport with melee weapons or keep them in the back as objective control.
