This is a release that I'm finding surprisingly easy to not care about, mostly because the models are intensely unappealing to me.

The Ymyr Conglomerate is the Squat kin with "the most advanced of the ancient technologies and best craftsmanship."
Their color is... Red armor with a dark undersuit.
... They're AdMech. Squat Admech. And they even have a similar color scheme.
Are the other kins and their schemes the same? Winky wink in jokes for 40k fans?
I mean the The Greater Thurian Leagues's symbol looks almost exactly like the word TAU and are white on teal... just like the GW-favored Vior’la sept. The Trans-Hyperial Alliance' symbol looks like an Eldar symbol (at least, the Japanese-Torii in it makes me think Eldar.. or Tau)... and have the Tau Sept color scheme.
The Kronus Hegemony are basically Squat Berserkers / World Eaters... and their symbol is the letter K (horne).
Reading too much into it or intentional easter eggs?

A question that always bothered me, why is 1d4 chan blacklisted from google?

I heard two reasons -- GW copyright complaint, and 1d4chan going down a few years ago for a while caused Google to blacklist the site for some reason. Not sure on the specifics, however.

It's not blacklisted. The owner of 1d4chan, Root, has the site setup in such a way that disallows the search engine bots from reindexing the site. Why he has it setup this way, I don't know.

I think it's because of what happened to the Trove. 1d4Chan does tend to post pdf's of new RPG books, and the Trove got taken down because the fucknut who made Zalheimer (is that how you call it?) whined his dick off about how "DEM DIRTY PLEBIANS ARE STEALIN MUH' MONEY!!!"

They really dropped the ball with this release. Since we now have speculation of 10th edition coming round next year I wonder if they were some kind of alpha test for what’s to come?

That's the thing, they did the nerf explicitly before the rest of the army came out, so the WAACfags can't complain. They literally say that as part of the reason they rushed the nerf out.

This mostly depends on the tools in play, but a typical pair of decent work/mechanic's gloves (usually about $10 at Home Depot or whatever) will prevent most accidental cuts. Mind, nothing is gonna help you if you thrust your hand right into a bandsaw.
