I just googled "40k titan" and it's only showing me Knights. Am I missing something?

Warlord Titan (108 feet tall from what i found) next to Imperial Knight

Imperator Titan (155 feets from what i found) even taller than a Warlord Titan,
Also the smallest titan class is the Warhound at 56 feets tall (all size are approximate and in the game universe)

I thought the gigantic mechs also fell under the imperial knights. Maybe I'm confusing the faction with the names of the models. Does the knights codex cover titans?

Most of my time was before knights, but no, I don't think so.

Titans don't have the whole faggy medieval feudal lord thing going on, they're made on Forge Worlds and run by the Collegia Titanica, part of the AdMech. They have neural interfaces but they're cruder and dont' have that whole 'ancestor spirit' thang going down. They just fry the operator's brains if they take a bad hit.

Titans are part of the Adeptus Mechanicus Codex i assume since they are part of that faction
Nah, titans aren't in the AdMech codex. They're too big for most normal games, on a completely different level of power, even the smallest scout titans like the Warhound are much larger and better armed and armoured than a Knight.

Titans can also refer to other races gigantic walkers and creatures, for example the eldar have their own titans equivalents, tyranids have bio-titans and orks have their gargants. Oddly the tau didn't have a traditional titan for ages despite being a faction centred around mecha battlesuits and instead relied on a gigantic flier to oppose titans.

Didn't they, as a joke, point cost out the smallest of the Titans and make it be roughly a few thousand points all by itself? They're not meant to be used in 40k scale games.
Every single titan that has a model has rules and points costs. Look it up on Wahapedia, the largest titans, warlord class titans, go for 5000 points, more than double a normal 40k army

Titans look awesome, personally my favorite is the Reaver with its Gattling blaster, but the  money alone to buy just one.... I'm just saying, I can buy some nice tires for my car for that scratch. But this is 40k after all, you're selling your liver anyway lol. Fun fact, the Reaver is 738 tons. This is somehow less than that Ratte nazi land cruiser thing that they got drunk and drew on a napkin during the war. Gotta love GW's stats

Anyone tried out Boarding Actions yet? I'm looking forward to trying out smaller scale 40k without the rules bloat.

I swear they also had a joke for emperor class titans that was just "get a friend to dress up as one and stand on the table"

Also if anyone every wants to see maybe 6-7 figures worth of models in one room, people have gotten together before to play titanicus with the full scale forge world models.

Like most numbers in 40k, I'd take the exact height of Titans with a grain of salt, and vehicle model scale has always been extremely whack. Just imagine that Titans are big enough for whatever the scene demands.

Note the ladder and walkway.

That's why there's Adeptus Titanicus, granting hella sweet Titan models without the massive price tag and physical volume. And I hear the game itself is solid as well. I think it's a huge shame that GW doesn't stock it in their regular stores, and it makes me afraid of how long support will continue for. Seems as if GW cares more about fuckin' Aeronautica than Titanicus.

So this guy is really mad on facebook running social media defense for 40k messaging and blocking people for merely laugh reacting at the official 40k post of the new Marines box set. I guess he does this a lot.

Don't have the right to send laugh reacts.

What a brave new age
This is the person who calls you a boot-licker online while larping as some people's commissar. Criticizing an industry giant for sloppy work? Sorry buddy, that's anti revolutionary thought.

Do these people don't realise that GW (or really anyone) will never improve without criticism? Better just buy the next load of plastic and get excited for the next load of half baked shit (this time he is holding a heavy flamer and so is completely different. I assume this person is also really anti 3d printing.

On a separate but related note:
I've never played marines but I'm always a little disgusted when I see the new boxes for them. Like, it's just another 5 identical guys, but with weapons that came in the old first born box. Eradicators seemed like the worst offenders. Close to 50 quid for 3 dudes with melta guns? Jeez. And it looks like so much of the primaris stuff isn't really grimdark, but more GIJoe. Would be interested in hearing from marine players.

I just primed a box of corpse grinder cult dudes and after seeing the sawcleavers up close I had the idea of painting them up like hunters from bloodborne but then I realized it would be just dark-brown/black and red which just feels generic. So I just want to hear any ideas for a paint scheme for them.

I prefer the old knight aesthetic to the tacticool primaris one.

Its not unfixable with some purity seals and alternative heads, but yeah. I think they just are lazy to make them more unique.

I'm not sure how satire it was. At first they throw everything cool at the wall, than settled on "middle ages and lord of the rings in space, with cool knight dudes, look!" and it stuck.

Star Wars also almost went with the same rout expect with samurai, but it was de-weebed at some point before it settled into a more western image. Vader's helmet still is inspired by samurai ones.

I'll rep the Marine players, personally I like the Mk X Primaris armour; it's very clean, modular and the scaling is better than the old kits. That said I really like the Heresy guys I have too now they're scaled right.

Regarding the marine body but with a different weapon thing; I totally agree. I've started a project with 20 Sword Brethren bodies to magnetise and swap weapons however I want, missile launchers, boltguns, all flavours of power weapon I'll keep handy for any new 'Primaris Retardanators' that come out

The faff to fun ratio on those is pretty interesting. The amount of faff is insane for a titan. FW resin quality control is a joke, so assembling is a nightmare. Plus transporting to and from games. And even when you stick one on the table top, from the apocalypse games on youtube I've seen, it just seems to get focussed down instantly.

I did just get a baneblade tho, so what the hell do I know.
