Why are printfags always so histrionic and insufferable? And "truescale" marines too lmao, nice job with your realistic and sensible looking power fist it's so much more mature and serious looking bro.
There exist printfags who aren't resin vegans, but you'd never know since they wouldn't tell you.

I bought the Imperial Guard Astra Militarum combat patrol set and I have to say I really love the new guardsmen models. The details are superb and there are a good amount of accessories you can give them to make them unique. Only complaint is they're basically monopose but this have been somewhat avoided by having most of the models have 2 choices for arms for each torso.

I bought it on a whim but with moderate intentions of actually getting back into the game next edition if it's true they're gonna cut back on the current rules bloat so I've been trying not to be too silly with their equipment.

Stls are autistic and I would rather pay GW than patreon.

That said, forgeworld resin is shit too.

If I ever used 3d printing, I would pirate the stls. Best for now is just buying used GW and restoring it.

I dont use twiter a lot but I seemingly stumbled upon a whole subsection of dudes calling themselves "Chudhammer" on twitter id call it based but everything these dudes posts make my eyes glaze over and the weirdest part is its on twitter untouched.

I'm pretty sure there is a gold mine of tg &ttrpg nonsense on Twitter that would rate its own community watch thread you just have to give enough of a shit about it all to keep up with it.
Not sure if its on twitter too, but there was a similar community on Instagram, called Ganghammer, IIRC they wanted to push back against the influx of soylets in 40k. Dunno if they're still going, hope they were, they made funny content.

I am so fucking sick of people who hear the word "simplified" in regards to rules and say "wow casual". WHY DO I HAVE TO SHARE THIS FUCKING HOBBY WITH SUCH MOUTH BREATHING FUCKING RETARDS. AHHHHHHH YOU NEED TO BRING 5 BOOKS TO PLAY A GAME WITH BLOOD ANGELS YOU FUCKING RETARDS.

Heh…casual….you don’t understand…gatekeeping…I’m a total grognard btw been playing since the 70s

So I caved and bought a mini while I stayed at my parents place recently. Found a Warpsmith to go with my Iron Warriors. My favourite thing that I did is the subtle reference to the old Iron Warriors logo with the left pauldron. I like to think I did a good job with my unsteady hands.

That's how it already is. People that don't want to overpay for GW models tend to also not want to overpay for Patreon/Etsy models.

I get that some people aren't going to like printing, but what models are you looking at? Half the ones I have are 1:1 copies of the GW model. Due to GW's legal department and their ever growing army of snitches, Google won't help you find "good" models. All the file trading of accurate models has moved underground. Those same circles often trade Patreon files, but I'm a part of a different group that charges $10 entry and the pooled money is used to purchase every known 40k proxy available for pay. I'm assuming you're used to seeing shit from Cults or Thingiverse that looks like something from a Dire Straits music video.

Only 1-1 non proxy models would interest me, and even then only when they are either monopose or tanks.

I hate working with resin and mich prefer plastic. Hopefully cheap plaszic prints aren't physically impossible in the coming decades.

I heard GW is rescaling the models for 10th edition. Does that mean they are going to say if you want to play in official tourneys that you have to buy and paint the models since the old ones are'nt to scale?

Scale creep is practically as old as Warhammer itself. Old models should be fine - the principle has always been that so long as it was once a legal model, it still is. There are no fixed rules for bases and 10e probably won't change that, so some tournaments might require you to rebase all of your Termagants if you're playing Tyranids to their new bases; between many Marine rebasings and more recently Orks, it wouldn't be unprecedented.

Ganghammer is still alive. Gang Night Lords been posting some funny memes about Konrad Curze.
