Reading my LGS' reactions to Lionel's rules is pure schadenfreude. It boils down to complaining about all the things he can't do and the fact that he can, in fact, die and be killed. I'm so sorry your guy can't delete my entire army without me having a chance to retaliate, really sucks.
Also, the fucker has so many wounds, I doubt you'll take him down easily even in close combat.

Anyone got any reliable creators that make digestible content about new releases, tactics, individual units and army comps?

I only know of AuspexTactics and his tone and inflection are so fucking mindgrating.
Just the way he gradually increases the pitch/tone of his voice as his sentence drags on is annoying as hell.
And the way he does it every fucking sentence makes it unwatchable.

You need to find someone who plays your army specifically. Not only is auspex tactics bland. He is somewhat surface and basic.

Boy do I hope the skink oracle on troglodon is good in the codex. It's my favorite total warhammer unit.

Ghost arks and rhinos are getting open top rules in 10e. That's a big buff for Necrons but I usually use rhinos to get delicate melee troops across the board.

Ok we are getting some details on some of the weapon characteristics we've been seeing.

Weapons are not a type, like Assault/Rapid Fire/Etc, they have those as characteristics. So as see here with the bolt rifle, it is Assault and Heavy. Assault lets you still fire if you advanced, and Heavy adds plus one to the Hit roll if you didn't move.

Critical Wounds are rolling a unmodified 6 to hit. So the Assault Cannon jumps straight to mortal wounds if you roll a 6 instead of moving on to wound and save.

Sustained Hits on the other hand add X number of hits for unmodified 6 to hit Critical Wounds.

So I think its D6+2 for Melta range, not 2D6.

Twin-Linked is built in wound rerolls.

Not shown but stated, Hammerhead Railgun is Strength 20 and isn't the highest strength weapon in the game.

Also on the pervious mentioned open top rules, its not full firing for transported units. Transport have a Firing Deck X stat, X being how many models with in the transport can fire. So only 2 units in a Rhino can fire out of it.

@Polyboros2 I think you’ve got the devastating wounds rule mixed up. Devastating wounds makes a critical wound roll (an unmodified 6) turn the damage of that attack into a mortal wound. You still have to roll to hit.

Since the found round of army books will be replaced by the faction cards what sort of price do you think we are looking at?

I’m guessing about £15 - £20 for most armies and £20 - £25 for space marines based on how large the faction is as a whole.

Cards will not be necessary as GW said that every faction will have indices and downloadable datasheets at the launch of 10th. You can buy the cards for conveniance thought. They also claimed that an official army building app will be available and free, adding that "yes it WILL work", which is rather bold of them after the dumpster fire that was their 1st attempt

there's always OPR to tide you over, not sure if 10th is still sticking with IGOUGO...
OPR is getting popular in my area and the difference between IGOUGO and alternating activations is huge for something like this. Really stops the "whoops, you didn't get first turn, guess you lose anything that couldn't start out of LoS tehe". Anybody that just wants to push models around and have a good time should give it a go.
They said they were reigning in AP but that melta is -4.
Well, it's a single shot melta, that's fine, the problem is when small arms are chock full of AP, hell, having it be damage 1d6 annoys me a lot more since I hate unreliable shit like that. Also, the increase in T of vehicles to what seems to be min 9 means it needs a 4+ to wound a Rhino, so that already takes it down a notch. I doubt they will succeed, but the need to make weapons to actually fall into proper roles and to avoid an obvious "power bracket" that can cover all your bases popping up again.
