Heresy reveals and roadmap are a disaster.

Roadmap needs to be in reverse.

For those of you who dont know much about heresy as a game system. Legion Command and Assault squads are pivotal units in this game. A lot of armies and legions can essentially base themselves around these. This road map says we essentially wont get these till TWO years after this system dropped. Really bad sign. New characters they showed today are worthless. Especially the fists. This is like their 9th legion exclusive model when salamanders dont even have a preator. The new plastic tactical squad is mark 3... again. We have mark 3 already???? They are also more tactical squads. WE DONT NEED MORE TACTICAL SQUADS, EVERY ONE HAS 3 TACTICALS SQUADS.
The lords of war blurb is even more dire. This leads into more things I have to explain. The lords of war slot in horus heresy has 2 restrictions. You cant bring more then 1 ever, and it cant be more then 25% of the point total of your army. This is why you dont see primarchs much at sub 2.5-3k point games. Now, we have had a lot of lords of war already converted to plastic here. The only thing left its things like thunderhawks. I want you all to understand that you cant play that realistically unless you are at 4.5k+ points. Most people will NEVER play a game at that size period. for people who even can, that's the type of game you only play like, a handful of times a year. It could be a lord of war for other factions but.... like what, nothing else is really old. ]
Knight lancers is a 40k release. There are probably under 100 actual knight heresy players in the world period. They arent a real factor in the horus heresy community.

Lastly, the primarch model, what this needs to be is Ascended Lorgar or Jagatai on bike. The fact that there is doubt in my heart, and I feel its even possible that this will be a new Rogal Dorn, show the state we are really in right now.

I actually think that "new plastic tactical squad" is them teasing plastic Deredeo dreads, since there's one in that image. Roadmap says we're getting another plastic Dreadnought, and they've already released everything there is to release for Leviathans and Contemptors. Armor mark update could mean a new Mk III kit, or it could mean Mark II/V armor is finally going plastic.

As an IF player, I'm just happy as a clam for the character release. That model will be fun to paint. I'm also happy about the plastic Lancer. I've wanted one forever, but didn't want to pay the $330+ for the resin model.
 
While I don't really play (or care) about HH in general, it is grating to see "resin" on their roadmap. Whatever happened to their commitment to switch over to plastic in full?

Upgrade sprues and Consuls/characters are staying in resin. Everything thats more bought in mass will be in plastics. My guess being is that while in the long run plastics is probably cheaper to do. The mold for it can be very expensive. So they cant justify to themselves to make ones for legion specific shoulder pads.

You'd think they'll finally release Emps for the final book in the series.

It's old but apperantly Tactica Imperialis (of the Adeptus Podcastus podcast) is a tranny, and he made a video about it nine months ago. Not going to watch the video because I don't want the risk the nightmare fuel of seeing him as a tranny. I share it mainly because there seems to be a 40k content to tranny pipeline, the guy is a teacher (which is always a bad sign), and that it was so lazy I didn't notice until he said he did it in a podcast.

He doesn't really do anything anymore. He didn't do any video for 9 months and even in the podcast he is zero effort with the occasional book and keep talking about running a Warhammer club in his school rather than any meta. Really the only reason I (and probably anyone) keep watching is 40K Theories who actually talks about the lore and probably living some nightmarish life of seeing his hobby filled with tranny zoomers.

I'm thinking 30k versions of the Daemon Primarchs are possibilities (or at least the rules to use the 40k models in HH).

I kinda wish we got a Malcador model but I don't think we'll ever see him since he doesn't really have an army to be attached too (maybe the custodies and the SoS) and lore wise while he is probably the 4th strongest psyker in the HH, I can't really see him being near the front lines, which is ironic since he apparently was fighting right beside big E in the early year of the unification wars.
 
I haven't checked the boarding patrol boxes until now but the Agents of the Imperium box is a steal. Full variety of breachers AND a rogue trader kill team? That's nice. Hate how Kill Teams are 2 boxes just for a full team.

Aren't the BP Boxes all limited runs, tho? I know outside of the named character -- who we had just got in another box -- the Custodes one was great... but if you had that named character, not so much. (They should have swapped in the Blade Champion instead.) Which was a moot point cause they went poof real quick.

Go third party, they're a popular choice for other companies to make because they were Forge World only for so long.
