Thanks for the recommendations guys. You guys are alright. Gonna see if I can find some primarch-focused books for cheap.

For YouTubers, Oculus Imperia seems alright. Luetin is so fucking boring though I dunno who actually enjoys listening to him.
I listened to his videos about Space Marines and still couldn't get the difference between Primarchs, Space Marines and Astartes (I now know the latter two are the same but not because of Luetin's boring ass) until I found Adeptus Ridiculous. For all of Bricky's faults he actually knows how to teach. Luetin is the equivalent of a teacher reading verbatim from the textbook. If you're autistic enough to enjoy that then just the cut out the middle man and read the Wiki/books yourself.

The Infinite and the Divine is my favorite. It's focused on Necrons but there's some chapters that involve chaos, specifically the 13th black crusade and Cadia being destroyed, all from the perspectives of Trazyn.

People seem to talk highly of ADB's Night Lords trilogy and point to it for details on how the concept of "veterans of the Long War" actually works. McNeil's Storm of Iron is also a good, action-packed novel that introduces his character Warsmith Honsou as well as the Chaos Titan Dies Irae featured in the initial Horus Heresy novels. After being around for a couple of decades, it just recently got an audiobook version, but do note that the text version includes a handy map:

not particularly happy but they are fine.

Played in an introductory mini tourney last week at the local GW store that used combat patrol rules for 10th overall playing 10th is fun but I run admech so I went 1/2 the only person I beat were guradsmen, I lost to fucking orks.

Got into printing and it is really cool even if I can't run them at official games

They just took the rainbow warriors and added gay shit to them.

...Rainbow Warriors, of course, being... Aztec? themed marines from 1st or 2nd edition, and predates the buttsex death cult's cultural theft of the rainbow symbol by at least one decade, maybe two...

Infinitely more interesting and badass than "Hi guys, here, have some 2020s era Californian faggot culture in your wargame set 40,000 years in the future, because Marxism teaches that escapism isn't allowed when there's cultural progress to be made! Remember, if you stop worshipping and validating us, we'll literally kill ourselves and it'll be YOUR FAULT, tee hee!"

The Rainbow Warriors have always had hippie faggotry associated with them - they get their name from the Rainbow Warrior, the Greenpeace ship sank by French glowies, emblematic of late-'70s/early-'80s faggot culture.
That said, it's a bit of a leap from whining about nuclear tests to troons.

As others have said: the Night Lords trilogy is pretty great and does a great job of showing how CSM forces operate.

Another great one is the Lords Of Silence book about a Death Guard warband.

So they are re-releasing the Space Marine vanguard boxset again after slapping an impulsor on it for the start collecting set. Are they ever gonna release the suppressor squad separately, or are they just gonna be forever tied to a boxset? I guess you could ask the same for the lieutenant.
The original vanguard set was $100 usd when it was for sale. I wonder how much they're gonna ask for it now.

I believe that they are combined because they share the same sprue. They would have to create a whole new sprue to separate them and they’ve calculated that profits would not exceed the costs for the new sprue.

Probably the same reason why the Indomitus captain and lieutenant are being sold together.

I still think they're gonna pull the Horus/Emps switcheroo
Doesn't one of the Primarchs place the Emperor's body onto the Golden Throne? That'd be a pretty boneheaded case of mistaken identity.

And if the champion of Chaos had dethroned the Emperor, Chaos would make it known. Horus couldn't have had a change of heart at the last moment, he was too corrupted by then.

It's also established that after their defeat, all the other traitor legions blamed the Sons of Horus for dragging them into it.

Sadly, it's Current Year, and it's Games Workshop. The dumbest outcome is the most likely.

Yeah Dorn puts him in there, even communicates with him before he does IIRC. The other issue with the idea of the ol' switcheroo is Horus wouldn't be able to power/control the Astronomicon, not to mention the other shit the Emperor still does like soul-binding Astropaths and sanctioned psykers

That one was Dorn, a primarch that already had an entire short story about compromising his ideals to keep the Imperium going and after the war went on a rampage against the traitor legions that ended with his legion being broken (both figuratively, strength wise and spiritually). So needing to be one of the few people who knows the truth and keep it a secret won't change a lot.

Also the 40K timeline is pretty good for Chaos, it's a parasite on the Imperium that won't nearly have its power without it.

Yeah, it would be dumb to try a bait, and switch with the golden throne. Malcador is killed from him taking the Emperor's place upon it. So if you have the second greatest psyker of human kind killed from using it the only other person capable of taking the Emperor's place would be Magnus, but we know he's out and about in the 41st. Unless they say make up some bullshit about Horus having some great power bestowed upon him by the dark gods.
