It looks like GW have sign the contract with amason.

Back in December last year we announced Games Workshop and Amazon Studios had signed an agreement in principle to work together to bring the Warhammer 40,000 universe to screens, big and small.

Well, today we have an update, and it’s one we’ve all been longing to hear. We’ve now signed the full agreement and the next stage can begin!



Now comes the fun part: working out all the creative details with our partners and getting the first script written and into production. What Warhammer 40,000 stories should we tell first? Should we kick off with a movie or a TV show? Both?!

Having an existing fanbase doesn't matter to GW if the sales trickle down to the point there is no logic in supporting it. Plus the setting itself was fucked that it was limited in time period due to the humans needing to not die from old age.

Fantasy was an incredibly cool setting, but it always bothered me that the world was able to survive at all. The Skaven alone should have glassed the world several times over, sometimes even on purpose. Between Northmen, Nagash, Skaven and the constant threat of Greenskins, there was simply too much malice and not enough empty space to facilitate it.

It doesn't help that nearly every book has some massive battle that would logically decimate an entire area. "There are always more elves" is a meme for a good reason

I don’t really have anywhere else I can share this, but I got a reaver titan yesterday. I’ve been printing one for a while, on and off, but I had a chance to grab the original Armorcast one for a steal yesterday so I went for it. I’ve always been a fan of the OG Armorcast models, and this is one of the few I really wanted still.

Now to decide which of my armies gets to add it to their ranks….

No clue, that’s definitely open for debate. I haven’t gotten that far 😂 It’ll be deployed with my space marines, most likely, but they are all different paint schemes. Like no two are going to share the same color scheme, I’m going for a sort of “group of leftovers sticking together on a battle barge somewhere” vibe.

So honestly any Legio isn’t ruled out.

Any suggestions? One of the weapons has a sick red & blue freehand design on it, so that one won’t be getting repainted. But I have several other weapons for it, so the red & blue doesn’t necessarily have to be used.

Legio Osedax is the only legio I found, loyalist or traitor, that uses red and blue together. Honorum's primary color is red and it has blue in its heraldry, but not as a part of their regular scheme. Honestly, though, you could always pick a Legio that uses either color and just say "they added this design in commemoration of a particularly glorious campaign", or make up your own Legio. Osedax could work for your army theme, though; they got chewed to bits during the Heresy and had Titans scattered across half the galaxy, so you could say that your dudes found one and salvaged it.

Or they just do what they did with the jump from 7th to 8th edition where they skip 200 years to basically reset the status quo completely gloss over the Emperium being literally torn in half (Great Rift is reduced to little more than a speed bump for warp travel), Gilly being a fundamental threat to both Administratum and Ecclesiarchy and Chaos being setup to conquer half the galaxy and create their on Dark Imperium (or at least have the Imperium do like ancient Rome and be split in two) and the Death Guard reunifying under Morty to assault the now broken Imperium (although they did release a couple of novels that wrapped the Death Guard stuff up pretty quickly). Oh and Gilly having to create his own Great Crusade to try and reconquer what was lost.

"The only thing I hate worse than an elf, is <insert current foe here>." Which includes everything from Urks and vampires to trees, boats, and even large bodies of water. Someone mentions some Dark Elf raiding boats fucking with them in Giantslayer and he practically murders everyone present just from the sheer overwhelming hatred towards elvish watercraft he possesses.

Best part is Teclis is stuck with them for reasons of his own and is left shitting bricks that this slayer might just decide to settle some grudges with him on account of general principles of him being an elf, and therefore fond of boats, water, and trees.

While it wasn't my favorite book the part where Gotrek pulled the giants eye out and used its eye stalk as a rope to get to the ground was fucking awesome.

Got the Dawn of War bundle for my laptop on the steam sale. Actually running well on Win 11. Pretty fun, though hard to read some of the text with the recommended graphics settings so my laptop doesn't go poof

Set everything except model and texture detail as low as you can, I guarantee my laptop is shittier than yours and that works for me.

Really it's when I hover over a unit. The text is small. I have to focus to read it. But I'll try that. Also it's letterboxed. Might have to do with the screen being 14 inches
