without it that same crowd would just funnel that money towards established brands to consooom, just like at the average marvel/disney/funkopop-simp. that also includes games workshop.

I would rather they spend money on funkos than even more sjw stuff. Funkos are bad, but sjws are worse.

Don't really have any skin in the whole 3d printed/official argument, but out of curiosity, is there any .stl files for any of the titian bodies?
Gut feeling is that it's a bit of pain to print something that big and unless you have a really good printer you probably have to print it in smaller pieces then normal to build it..
Also makes me wonder if GW will every say fuck it and will release a $3000 Imperator-class "mini" figuring that a few die hard fans will still buy it and fewer will even attempt to print a 5ft tall model

And before anyone says that's do big, the t'au manta exists and people buy it.

Didn't know Necrons have Tripods now. I just dropped a few marines from time to time, the worst was the purity seal needing a new gluejob.
I can point you to an army of GW grey knights missing their swords.

I've seen a handful of knockoff titans for 3D printing, but Stationforge just came out with this fucker for $15.
Although I just got it for free from a telegram chat.

It comes in a bunch of little parts any printer can print and you glue together.

Yes, and nobody is printing a titan in 1 piece.

A short Dan Abnett interview about the conclusion of the Siege of Terra.

Abnett interview

I can not wait boys. Absolutely loving this shit. How crazy is Dorn going to go? When is it going to really sink in for Abaddon that he's on the losing side?

I am so excited boys. I wonder if we are going to get a a small glimpse from the mind of the Emperor? Abnett says no, but maybe a line or two.

Guys rebel moon is fucking based
Look at that armour
Zach clearly likes warhammer

Warhammer isn't exactly all that original either so there's the small possibility he just copied something else.
Granted Zach Snyder (never got the impression he was a big sci-fi fan) so almost certainly he just copied warhammer (or someone on the crew did).

Rebel moon also has commissars

Rebel Moon was very fun, visually and story.

I just wish it didn't stop every two minutes for a pointless slowmo scene, sometimes multiple times in a fight scene.

You almost never print any model in 1 piece. Even space marines print in at least 5-6 pieces. 3D modeling takes a few years of practice to get decent at but learning how to chop up a model for ease of printing takes 30 minutes to learn. You already have to learn how to use slicing software to print anything.

I pulled up one of my titan folders for reference. I've never printed one.

This model has 88 separate printable parts. Some are alternative weapon and decor options, and some are parts meant to be printed multiple times or mirrored. On my large printer, this would still probably take a dozen or more prints to complete. Total cost would be less than $10 and time would be about a week and a half. You can print most of it hollow to significantly cut down on weight. It's also very easy to add perfectly sized magnet recesses where you want them, so you can split the model up into 5-6 main parts and have the option of swapping out weapons or w/e you want. If you want something special, there's a billion file sets available for free with accessories like banners and what not that you can slap on.

Bigger models like this give you some hobbyist options you don't otherwise get with GW. I've printed a Necron monolith and used transparent green resin for some of the parts. I went back after and added some small battery powered LEDs to give it an internal glow. I printed some hexmark destroyers in clear, then primed all the areas I wanted to paint with a reflective white. If it's close enough to the monolith, the light refracts through the resin and off the white to give it a pretty cool glow too.

I went back and counted. 196 individual parts to complete the model with all options.

Great interview I cannot wait to read it hoping to get the special edition as it is such a KINO moment in pop culture. The Siege of Terra has been fucking amazing and honestly has reinvigorated my love of reading.

Ready to say goodbye to my boo, Rest in Peace king.

Abnett is a treasure and he clearly loves the universe he is writing for. I still have my Blood Angel stylized Knight to do.

Is that a shitpost? Genuinely asking.

Who are y'alls favorite 40k Youtubers?

Mine is probably Majorkill, he's a jackass, but a highly entertaining jackass.

If I want a more informative lore guy to listen to, I watch Arch's stuff and occasionally Valrak.
