Yeah, all you guys crying about 40K going woke, don't bother coming over to Battletech and crying to us. It was pozzed years before even that "Warhammer isn't for you" post. Actually in comparison, we're in even deeper shit.

I bank on this as a somewhat-plausible personal theory dressed up as a "leak" to appear more convincing, and boy did that work to grab more attention then it would have otherwise. It's not difficult to start with the basic thought of "maybe megacorp Amazon has something to do with this" and then come up with the rest on your own.

I rather doubt any initial Amazon/GW project with feature Custodes at all, suspecting that people latch onto this idea at all because of the memetic perception of Cavill. Presuming it's all live action, projects will likely have mostly normal human characters to keep budget within reason, then having some expensive highlight moments with Space Marines to show them off as the pinnacle of power. Having even bigger, more powerful Custodes would diminish Space Marines by comparison, surely against GW's merchandising interests, and Custodes are also more difficult to fit into narratives anyway due to their rarity and narrow purpose.

Plenty of people like Primaris Space Marines, even among long-time 40k fans, in spite of what I believe is general consensus that the manner of their introduction in lore was half-assed to justify a sudden visual makeover and big new model line. People just don't make a point to talk about how much they like Primaris and compare them to Firstborn, especially so many years in as GW is now in the process of turning terminology from "Primaris Space Marines" into just "Space Marines" as always expected. Meanwhile, people who hate Primaris to this day are vocal about it and sure to let everyone else know.

Augmentations can even kill space marines not everyone survives the procedure you can still keep the grim dark setting everything in the entire universe doesn't need to be complete and utter misery

Every time Warhammer 40K has a gay drama. It proves Warhammer Fantasy. The original series was always a better written setting and has more consistent tone. Warhammer fantasy is dark fantasy a without a lot of the political trappings of 40K and shitting Tolkien. Warhammer fantasy still heroism and optimistic for such a dark setting. Warhammer 40K was memed as an edgy, accidental right learning setting when Fantasy still hanging on too chaotic evil monster races and shockingly pro-religious for British fiction. Wow this sounds like a really fun discord! Here's something interesting. The normal thing would be to include women in the groups you can't discriminate against.

I think I've cracked how "It is known that all Custodians begin their lives as the infant sons of the noble houses of Terra" but they could also always have included women.

Only got into Warhammer at the beginning if this year, I Play AOS not 40K (although i would like to get into WHTOW at some point) When i saw YouTube recommend me this person's Channel. My first thought "this is a troon" because outside of some guy's wife there are no female wargamers. But the comments are not agreeing with this guy at all it seems.

I'm not that surprised, considering the DnD fans have been on the Left ever since the Right falsely accused them of demon-worship in the 1980s. Spoony was the standard-bearer for them during the Youtube internet celebrity craze, and he fucking hated the Right. RPG companies like Bioware which were full of people who played DnD in their youth did things like sneak a lesbian romance into KOTOR, a Star Wars RPG game, and in their version of SW named Mass Effect, the ''tolerant'' politically-correct choices are considered the ''paragon'' good choice while being a human nationalist was considered ''renegade''. Mass Effect's wisest and most powerful race are the Asari, a race of lesbian space elves who reproduce without the need for a man, whose culture is all about tolerance and free love, with very few Asari embracing strict religious guidelines like the Justicars. The DnD culture has been infested with Leftists ever since the 1980s. Especially when that culture was persecuted by the Right on false charges, so it's easy for them to hate the Right and buy into the Leftist agenda.

But considering what that person says in the video, yes, this isn't the first time GW fucked the lore in the ass, this isn't the first time GW tried to gaslight the fans, and this isn't the first time retcons of this scale happened to 40K. People who are acting like this is something new ought to look at GW's history of treating both the fans and the lore. GW treated both like crap, refusing to create a solid canon for the lore, and constantly jacking up prices for the model kits. That's why it's so easy for GW to say ''there have always been female Custodes'', when the lore that says otherwise was never canon to begin with. Just fanon that they can throw away or keep at their whim.

If anything, the price hikes should piss the fans off more than the Fem-Custodes. That one mention of a Female Custodes can easily be written off as a practical joke played by the male Custodes, dressing up a Sister of Battle as one of their own for a prank. Or it can be ignored entirely by fans who write and make their own stories and continue to believe that all Custodes are men. But the price hikes are something that affects fans for real. That is, if they actually buy the stuff instead of just staying on the internet farming clicks from nerd outrage bait.
