Sorry but I have troubles to properly understand your question. I guess your are trying to tell me the ESG/DEI directed shareholders are far from being responsible of the situation because they were not investors back in the days when GW realy did pissed off some folks.

If yes, then I see your point. And I agree to an extent. After all, GW have proven to be a bunch of scumbag at times. And so I gladly believe some of their personnal are responsible themselves.

Is the only source really Arch? I barely trust his opinions on fucking lore. However, that does make sense....

Is arch even trying to do anything aside from making videos? Could he possibly push for an alt 40k lore community to form or is that to much work for him.

So Blackrock and Vanguard became investors sometime between June 2020, and January 2021, right as the stock was on the rise due to people being bored with the covid crap and the release of 9th edition 40k. The "crash" which wasn't a crash was a drop that didn't begin until August 2021, half a year later after GW's annual investor report from July 2021

What's in that report?
Their warehousing costs tripling, while the sales percentage only went up .5%
Paint sales being flat after the release of the contrast paints
Warehouse problems in the US and UK.
Brexit related crap
Closures of a few retail stores
Massive uptick in "other costs"(separate from merchandising and logistics, those would be warehousing related)

So Arch like usual is full of shit, because this crap takes just a few minutes to look up.

Since GW does half year reports, we can check the 2021-2022 half year report from January 2022.

Numbers are down from the previous year's 6 month span to November despite revenue being up.
Payroll costs massively increased for their IP and design studio from .8 million pounds to 5.6 million with a sales increase of 2.5%
Warhammer+ was launched and shit the bed
Still having warehouse problems, this time stemming from employment in the US and UK, while warehousing costs increased again from 2.8 million to 9.7
More brexit related crap involving shipping costs increasing, and delays of VAT payment
Still hadn't completed their ERP system update
Video games still not out the door yet

Games Workshop interim profits rise; CFO to retire

Warhammer maker Games Workshop posted a sharp jump in half-year profits driven by the launch of new products and said chief financial officer Rachel Tongue was stepping down later this year.

Pre-tax profits for the six months to November 26 rose to £95.2m from £83.6m as revenue rose to £235.6m from £212.3m. Shareholders were rewarded with an increase in the dividend to 195 a share from 165p.

“These record results are driven by the launch of a significant number of new products across all of our IPs and the ongoing performance of products we launched in previous periods," said chief executive Kevin Rountree.

“Games Workshop and the Warhammer hobby are in great shape. We continue to perform well during challenging economic times, delivering record group revenue, profit and dividends in the period. Morale is good at Games Workshop and our hobbyists are having fun too."

He added that, after 27 years with the group and nine years on the board, Tongue had informed the board that she did not propose to offer herself for re-election as chief financial officer at the next annual general meeting in September 2024.

"Rachel will continue in her role, working as an integral part of my team to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities to her successor. Rachel is amazing and she will be missed enormously," Rountree said.

Nah, people still dislike the Primarass Smufs being "Teh Bestest Eva," and the Mario Kart model is still a joke. Heck, some models look like Games Wokehshop ripped off Starcraft, which is pretty funny. I don't think anyone really likes the monopose diversity models or that you can't really do anything with Speshmahreens unless you fork over $200 just to play a different chapter that isn't Smurfs. People just moved on, and play other chapters because Smurfs seemed to suck since 8th despite the retarded Primarass lore.

I'll say this: I've seen worse like the Steampunk Dwarfs from Age of Shitmar. That army is bad design 101.

Shitmar players have more reasons to be pissed than 40k players. They just killed off 2 more armies, 1 was definitely for woke points (Tribal Orcs). Beastmen have been treated like shit for years, and they didn't even get a new fucking model when Games Wokeshop gave them shitty updates. They want Sigmahreen players to waste more money on new made-in-China models just to use an army they played since day 1 of AoS. Side games like Warcry, which is pretty fun, aren't in a great spot either. There are lots of reasons to hate Games Wokeshop besides female custodes (GW intentionally selling stuff to scalpers). Ask any local mom and pop hobby place who got fucked over by GW when they wanted to get their models.

I was boycotting GW over Matt Ward, Age of Shitmar, and how they mistreated Fantasy until they killed it off. AoS 1.0 was actually pay-to-win trash because you could field whatever the fuck you wanted as long as the models were within their general facrtions, and GW's hard-on for Sigmahreens was worse than the Primarass. I gave GW another chance when 2.0 looked like they were learning from mistakes, and actually focused on other armies; then 2020 happened, and I realized most of the army rule books during 2.0 were very poorly written, Beastmen, Skaven, and Night Goblins being the biggest offenders. 3.0 and beyond made Age of Shitmar worse.
