Well I blame the modern adaptations for sexualizing Medusa and her sisters, that Clash of the Titans remake with Liam “Buck Hunter” Neeson was really notable for making her not so monsterous. I think the Percy Jackson stuff followed suite but I haven’t seen those movies.

So of course, they make older, rarer cards less important by making more of them and making them more common. Suddenly, that little shit selling a Charizard for 1000 bucks looks silly when every kid in the playground can get Charizard GX for ten bucks.
