Hope you guys are ready for yet another pricehike. Something tells me things aren't going so well for GW with the rate at which they keep doing these.
Don't worry though they're nice enough to announce it in advance so you'll panic buy a whole pile of shame.

LOL. I can't wait for castigators to cost over $100. You just know the bootlickers are gonna play defense for yet another price hike.

Part of me is kinda glad we dont have GW stores here, and the 2 gaming stores sell stuff at a kinda cheaper price than GWs, though I imagine even those guys might raise the prices because of the shipping costs. Still, they least offer discounts on orders.

What shits me is the amount of product locked up in "direct line" so it can't be sold at a discount by FLGSes. Tier 2 characters and obscure stuff is fine but a lot of it is mainstream stuff like the Ork Warboss.

And yet those same people will still buy their shit regardless. Warhammer isn't just a hobby, it's an abusive relationship as well.
The fact every hardcore Warhammer Fantasy grog went crawling back to GW after years of spewing venom over Age of Sigmar made me realize the company will not die in 20 years at this rate like these guys go out of their way to shit on AoS 24/7 and then I see them post official boxsets of old world like what the fuck. The inability to even trying to support other companies falls on deaf ears. Even if GW dies people will still never touch other games at most youll get the Imperial Guard faggot who realizes he should finally play Bolt Action.

The day has ended in a Y, this should be expected at this point(seriously, it'll be actual news when they don't do it during a year). Their margin probably dropped to 34-35%, and they want to bring it back up to 40(for reference a healthy operating margin at other large companies can be 10-15%).

Pretty much. Game was dead, launched AoS and it sold well for them over the years, re-launch WHFB and it sold well again. AoS, replace half of the most popular faction for the game, watch it set records as people unnecessarily re-buy armies as if "man in armor with bow and arrow" wasn't going to continue being "man in slightly different armor with bow and arrow". Between wahapedia, newrecruit.eu, and battlescribe there hasn't been a need to buy a codex for years, people still do it while bitching about how much they cost. Finecast products suck, people still buy the damned things and complain about how much they suck as if something had changed with it between 2012 and now. All the while these same people wonder why GW doesn't change... because they don't have to.

In the us they’re ok (not sure where you’re located) I don’t get how they exist in the uk though. They’re technically not supposed to allow games except for demo games but the US stores ignore that rule for the most part. One of the downsides to gw stores is that it’s a sales job first and foremost, so if the manager is socially awkward it can be extremely painful from the second hand embarrassment.

Personally my favorite store is an independent store that carries basically every major tabletop game and a bunch of ranges (basically they have more warlord games inventory than GW, some mantic, and a bunch of the popular 3d party count as minis) in addition to Warhammer stuff. Also they give discounts.

Basically “Findom me harder daddy.”

Eastern Europe, yo. The two stores we have, they're independent and do sell other stuff (hell one sells way more D&D/Magic/Board games than 40k stuff), the other run's 40k/AoS Tourneys, plus people can come over and play other stuff besides Warhammer

Honestly, I'm not sure how they exist in the US. Other than the couple huge cafe stores, the bulk of them seem to have less floor space than a gamestop and can only host 2 games at a time at most. Meanwhile the average independent store if it isn't focused on card games, can generally host a small RTT. On top of that, you're going to be paying MSRP for their products, their hobby products range from being overpriced or shit, to overpriced and shit(paint, clippers, brushes, mold line removal tool? fuck off) compared to independent stores offering a broader variety of product ranges(and pricing), discounts, frequent flyer miles(or whatever the hell equivalent), etc. Hell, GW stores don't even have common basic basing materials like tufts for fucks sake.

Is the range change in AoS means the models aren't usable or can you use them as replacements for supported ranges? Since I heard an argument GW did the purge to prevent AoS also turning into 40K style army bloat. But if the models are unusable then it's bullshit cope.

The models are being replaced with new things with different names. But it isn't even a scale update like primaris was, and the first thing they showed off before the list of the models going away was one being replaced with a newer sculpt. platemail armor guy with a hammer is always going to be platemail armor guy with a hammer. GW also isn't going to stop by your local store as if they're some kind of tabletop gestapo and kick you out because you have older models and not newer ones. Even for tournaments, as long as the models are similar size and they're on the right bases most people don't give a shit so long as the weapons are at least vaguely represented correctly(as in, don't show up with 2 units of dudes with hammers, and try to tell me one actually has crossbows and expect me to remember that).

GW buyers are simps who complain about simping while continuing to simp.

At this point they deserve the GW they get.

*Edit* actually, this is one of my friends. Despite being shown what a 3d printer can produce in person and how easy it is to find rules online, always insists on buying and holding the "real thing".

Then complains about not having cash.

Basically, yes. GW only gets away with things like this because the fans let them.

The unfailing devotion of GW paypigs isn't all bad. Everything I've sold thus far has turned a substantial profit.

I'll admit I gave Shitmar a chance when 2.0 looked like they were finally addressing the problems 1.0 had (too many Sigmahreens, other armies sucked). WarCry was a fun game while it lasted; then you realized most of the 2.0 army books were very poorly written, and 3.0 and beyond went back to making Age of Shitmar awful. Sons of Behemat was more or less a whale's army because trying to host a giant army cost you an arm and a leg. Trolls are also pricey if you wanted to go trolls.
