"B-b-but muh BASED grimdark sci fi!"

Never has been. Never will be. GW being GW and people trying to cope about it.
Morons who think 40K is based never looked at its history and the meanings behind its lore.

Yeah GW really don't need external influences like Amazon to do retarded shit. You have to realize that the people who decide to write for GW are your quintessential bri'ish lefty cuck. You know, the kind who make video essays on Youtube.
Collected a bunch of cringe statements by ADB in particular over the years on /tg/ but others like Mike Brooks and Gav Thorpe are right up there. I'm pretty sure ADB mentioned wanting to do female custodes before but got shut down by the few remaining people with sense at the time. Seems I forgot to save that though.
Exactly. They're the kind of people who sport basic-bitch leftist ideas like how religion makes us backwards (empirically wrong; the Church has spent fortunes supporting scientific research) or how the traditional conservatives are all xenophobes. (Also wrong; conservative writers like Tolkien hated Apartheid.)

Oh ye, why wouldn't you wanna piss off those guys, who are jacking off to two brainless retards. Not to mention, these conservatives are probably either six feet under or never cared about 40k in the first place.
Some of them did; they really loved the lore from 3rd-7th edition where it's portrayed that the Imperium was the "lesser evil" that is justified in its actions. But that was always a false interpretation of the lore.

I'm certain that if a Thatcherite or Reaganite walked into a GW store in the 80s, the people behind the counter would act as if an unwashed heathen entered the Temple of Jerusalem.

Well either that or you're gonna enjoy the Reaganites rants and rambles about DA JESUS and etc. 'cause God knows American cons and lefties can never shut the fuck up about shit, be it 40k bad or D&D is spawn of DA SATAN.

Kind of. It was somewhat based as the old lore was retconned when it solidified. I guess they are going to retcon it again. It was a proper and not false interpretation of the 3-7th editions. 1st edition was so different it was like a different universe all together.

GW had like one store at that time as well in their bumfuckville in Bongland.

The original satire did not sell. That's why it was retconned to begin with. GW tapped into all the angry rightwingers who didn't want leftist shit, but had money.
The fashy fans are gone now however, that goodwill spent, and now we'll see if GW's Wokehammer can take the Modern Audiences away from Disney and Soy Wars.

Will we get a Baby Ghazgkull and the Yarrick traveling the galaxy, worshipping Sister Katan's feet?

I am sure GW and Amazon were both happy. Amazon was thinking they Kangified another Chud palace, and GW was happy that millions of new Amazon fans would buy 5000 dollars worth of plastic crack and they can do away with the icky wehraboo neckbeards and magapede yikerinos for the Modern Audience.

I for one, since now only anime deserves my money, had spent some of my cash on nice steaks instead of western media.

40K politics is a retarded topic. A Fantasy Sci Fi doesn't represent shit in the real world, and in-universe no real world philosophy is represented in the Imperium

The political analogies to real-world factions should be obvious to the average viewer. :smug:

Okay, aaaand, this book is like 2 years old. Sooo..A. Who gives a shit and B.No seriously, it's 2 years old, why does anyone care?
Nothing could possibly persuade you that Warhammer is going woke or that GW is taking a nosedive. Be it by their own hand, Amazon bending them to their will or Blackrock buying them out, or whatever else, GW is going woke because woke is what it means to be mainstream, but you're inconvincible of that fact and have hostility to any opposing viewpoints, probably solely on the basis of your personal politics. You've made it clear that GW can do no wrong by you and you'll attack any criticism of the company or try to dismiss any sign that the company is embracing woke politics, and the truth is that my source doesn't matter because the facts are the real problem.

"This book is two years old, what does that prove?"

That the rot has been sinking in for longer than we knew? That the whole point of this throwaway line in this two year old book is to test the waters before going further, to hide in plain sight, to incrementally insert woke politics in an IP that had none of it, ect.

I could go on, but what's the point?
