I don't know where they also keep doing all these original cartoons just do a ghost cartoon that's actually a popular series you could probably get a season out of each book probably half a season for trader general that is a really mediocre book and it is so slow to get through.
The only interesting parts by the formal general talking to himself and hanging around with a transvestite creature demon

What are this thread's posters' favorite and least favorite factions?
Favorite is the Iron Warriors (competent assholes who love fucking with daemons) with an honorable mention to Sisters of Battle (I'm a sucker for pious factions with a love of fire). Least favorite is the Eldar (vague assholes who would be better off if they stopped being vague in their interactions with the other races) with a dishonorable mention to Tyranids (feel like GW wrote themselves in a corner with how massive their fleets are to where the galaxy should be wiped out, but can't have them succeed because it would mean an end of the setting)

Is there a reason the AdMech don't have their own not-Space Marines? Just absolutely roided the fuck out Skitarii cyborg elites? I get their vibe is more cybernetics than biological enhancements, but you'd think they'd go for random elite super Skitarii or something.

I guess maybe you could call Ruststalkers that but not really.

It would help with the army's problem, being an expensive as fuck horde army priced not as a horde army.

you mean something like this I don't know why Migos biologists found a bunch of whipped 6 foot 5 blonde haired blue eyed guys either
most of the stuff is not machine based it's organics based

What are this thread's posters' favorite and least favorite factions?
I don't think there's a faction in 40k I couldn't see myself collecting, at least collecting a Kill Team's worth of figurines.

Thinking my way through... When I started back in 2nd or 3rd edition I enjoyed Tyranids and Eldar. I also accidentally collected some Ultramarines. As Dark Eldar, AdMech, Custodes and Votann were added to the main game, I was excited enough about each of them to at least pick up their codex and some models. In the middle there I read about Malal and did have some Sons of Malice CSM, but holy fuck, fuck painting white and black quartered armor. Imperial or Chaos Knights, too, have captured my interest, but thankfully the FLGS hasn't had them in stock the past 3 times I've visited -- Quartered White and Black armor on a Imperial or Chaos Knight might not be as bad, come to think of it. Malal themed Renegade Imperial Knights? "The Brotherhood of Malice?"

Right now I collect Custodes intentionally and Space Marines accidentally. I have some Votann (the intro box they put out) and AdMech, too. If AdMech were in a better place I'd collect them, definitely. As it stands they're a complete joke.

So my favorite factions right now would be Custodes (Greek Demigods who could save the Galaxy but their idiot creator died before giving them the command to do so), AdMech (Stygies 8), with Blood Ravens rounding out the third. Of course, part of the problem is I want to move away from playing gwsdudes and work towards mydudes. Like, I had an idea 500 pages back about an Irish themed Blood Ravens splinter group, that might be fun, especially if I toss in some IRA vibes... ...Zen Buddhist AdMech, that'd be doable with some more Asian themed cybernetic bits... I could probably soup in some IRA themed Guard with the Irish Space Marines...

Factions I just don't like at all... Whenever I think of factions I can think of at least a themed kill team worth of something to hold my interest. Genestealer Cults, Sisters of Battle and Necrons... can't even hit that level. Ok, maybe I could do an Antifa-hemed GSC, maybe using Orlock bits in a Kitbash. But Necrons... Eeeh. They don't feel like they have anything that you could do mydudes with, ya know? Sisters, meh. Imperial Guard? Meeeeh. I wager if I dug through their codexes (guess I'll go grab some PDFs tonight) that might change.

So least favorite would probably be Necrons, Guard, and GSC. I could do something fun with the Sisters, maybe (do them up like Ironlilly's faux crusader color color scheme, and give them some AOS/WFB chainmail bits too, for example) and Guard. But outside of a meme GSC KT, I just don't get the point of Necrons and GSC. Meh. Meh I say.

Edit: Necrons deluding themselves into thinking they're something else, like a Medieval Knight Society or Theater Troupe or something, that could be fun -- but it's basically just staling from AoS at that point, innit?

It just hit me. Corporate Necrons.

Business Bots.

Necron Warriors wearing a suit and tie with slacks. Soulless automata? Sounds like office work to me. Forget a Dynasty, I'd do them up as an ancient Necron Giga-Corporation that bought their own tomb world. Necron Military Contractors turned Do-Anything Corporation. Maybe do fun shit like putting Flayed Ones in McDonalds style uniforms.

... Can I find 40k scale business suit legs and torsos? Preferably as a STL?

... Color scheme.... Chrome and White/Blue, maybe? Something that evokes soulless American corporate culture. Banners and iconography that's the Necron equivalent of Globohomo / Corporate Memphis?

Or go all the way back to Web2.0 Gloss / Frutiger Aero?

Or actually, I just realized what triggered this idea was watching my buddy hit Konpeki Plaza in Cyberpunk2077 and seeing the staff forced to wear gold metallic skin replacements to remove all individuality from themselves? So Gold and Purple, then?

The already basically anarcho capitalist when societies they have a guy in charge of it who has his command codes so I could see them running a corporation,
you have violated the non aggression principle we have first rights to this mineral claim I'm sorry Sir we are going to have to liquidate you literally.
Tau's
they have the absolute worst fan base it's either disgusting subhuman ******** neoliberals communists urbanite scum

you see this so much better than everyone else because of the greater good the greater good gets rid of all human agency you are literally a slave to an ideology as long as you don't not worship the emperor you can basically do whatever you want in the imperium of man.
The imperium of man also has a diversity of different governing systems depending on the planet some of which are actual democracies
you can also take a spaceship to a walled where everyone's a caveman and returned the monkey

the greater good is a lie and it's something that people who like a nanny state would enjoy

Yeah, I want to like Tau and I do like the look of their mech suits but the actual Tau themselves are just... meh. It didn't help that I genuinely don't think they fit in 40k when they were launched. I haven't followed their fanbase, but if you want a guaranteed way to trigger them play up other non-approved forms of socialism (Benito Mussolini would have some ideas) with them. But the Tau on the table I've never felt actually plays up any of the commie shit, it's all background lore stuff, so...

And yeah, there are plenty of Capitalist, Fascist, Anarchoprimative, Oligarchic worlds in the Imperium, they don't care as long as the Tithes (especially the Black Tithe) and Imperial Creed is adhered to. No communist worlds tho, cause even in a fantasy with space elves fungi-orks and star-god eating robots, no one believes for a second that Marxism would ever actually work.

Triggered Tau noises. You just need to add a caste system to make communism work saaar, do redeem our Seeker missile Saar.

This really always confused me, like saying how Tau are communists, yet the whole caste stuff flies in its face. Even their vague "Greater good" cannot be contribute to communist ideals.

Don't forget the ban on Reese mixing where the rigid class system where you are not allowed to change jobs based on your race

same words = same ideology, no one expects progtards to be smart.

What are this thread's posters' favorite and least favorite factions?
Favorite is Admech because there's something tragically funny about a group of people who should be pursuing technological progress being deathly afraid of it, seeking comfort in rituals and old wonders they have a tenuous understanding of. You can't even blame them either. It's like kicking an old librarian whose library got burnt to ashes. An old librarian whose trying to save anything from the fire while developing PTSD and schizophrenia. Also there's a lot of customization potential with Admech's replacing their flesh with metal.

Least favorite is the League of Votann. I wasn't in the scene when Squats were a thing and I still don't give a shit about them.
