Honestly, even with the void shields they were still crap on the table. The primary problem is they don't have enough guns to take everything out, can't control more than 2 points at a time, can't maneuver around some terrain layouts, can't also perform secondaries, never get out of LoS, etc.

Anyone taking a titan to a game for something other than a laugh, is an idiot(and considering the prices, honestly even that's questionable unless you're printing or buying a recast).
My problem is that they stripped down everything interesting about the game in 10ed. How do you remove something as icon as void shield from titan?

I see it like the Tau Manta. Just a very large and pretty display piece for the handful or so of people that only like to paint GW models and not play the game itself.
this. I'm not quite retarded enough to drop 3 grand on a hunk of plastic, but I'm working my way through the Legiones Imperialis-scale titans. Much more affordable, easier to paint, and still looks really good. It's also plastic, and plastic is preddy cool. I'm working on painting a mosaic on a Warmaster titan's battle plates, god help me I've restarted like six times.

does Midwinter have a thread? I saw some of the stuff people were talking about in the thread, but I didn't pay it much attention because I don't really watch 40k-tubers.

My cope is that 10ed is such an experiemental version for them that they are still testing out the format. I can appreciate wanting to keep rules simplified for the sake of ease of play. I also agree with wanting to tone down the lethality of the game so that you can actually reach round 3+ before the game is already over. I'm hoping the reason why everything is so stripped down is because they want to get the basics right before they start expanding into more interesting rules and abilities. They are still re-writing core rules. I'm hoping the plan is to write off 10ed and come back swinging in 11th once they have a better idea of what people actually want.

No, and I doubt he's managed to do enough to warrant it. He's seen moderate success in the space he's in, he's just kind of an asshole. The summary I posted is from over the course of the past 3 years or so and even most of that is... ok color blind idiot youtube person picked a stupid color for a spray primer... ok? Dude ran out of his wife and kids... that happens all the time.

It's a shame because they went into 10th strong with a good intention of making it accessible but its just really dull. Taking away void shields is heresy. I do like that they have finally given nids the love they desrve but Chaos needs some too Thousand Sons are so cool but have hardly any units, same with Nurgle.

Is the dlc and patches for rogue trader good enough to justify a full replay? Or should I just load in a chapter 2 save?

I just wanna point out, for the Ork list half of those models were useless and only 2 were good. Plus, knowing GW they gonna bring em back like they did Snikrot.
Also a bunch of the shit on that list in general was finecast(which no one wanted in the first place), or forgeworld crap that was even more overpriced than usual GW markup.

TS has been due for another batch of releases for a while, and it's vaguely possible based on that warcom post for the next preview stream they might finally get something. It's also been hinted at over the past year or so in WD and some other stuff that TS are doing some shit with automatons in the pariah nexus region because the necron warp fuckery messes with their normal sorcery.

Nice big patch for Space Marine 2

Melta healing bug fixed, bots are less retarded, grenade launcher nerfed for some reason, tzaangor's with shields have less health (do they still block literally everything?), fencing weapons nerfed and more.
Also you can color your leg armor boot and thigh separately

The customization in SM2 feels weirdly restrictive and bare. And hiding behind "muh lore" as an excuse for some of these things is pretty retarded when you can already dress your Ops Marine up as whatever the fuck you want despite still being an Ultramarine.
Like there's really no actually good reason to not let you color any piece whatever you want, or not being able to have tabbards for every class etc. And I'm still new but isn't there a shit ton of contradictory information from official sources anyway, and isn't the biggest appeal of the hobby being able yo kitbash and paint your minis however you see fit?

Idk, just seems like a dumb decision. But the patch is pretty nice all around from the looks of it.
