Nah they were there in the first episode(they're in the thumbnail). Although it seems they have fallen back into the same pattern...

The main series animations with a bunch of characters and needing more people to help doing voice work is the popular shit. While most of the other stuff they've produced over the past couple of years only gets half the views, while tyring to supplement the channel content with other things like playing a tabletop RPG, and they drastically slowed down production of the "main show" Hunter: The Parenting

Dec. 18, 2021 episode 1
Mar. 13, 2022 episode 2
May 13, 2022 episode 3
Mar. 9, 2024 episode 4
Mar. 19, 2024(this is just a censored version of the previous episode

Wow, it really is like they fell into the exact same fucking pattern they hit for emperor's TTS device with 6-24 month gaps between episodes. https://graphtreon.com/creator/alfabusa
I wonder what that big spike matches when they were already making 7 grand a month, but suddenly hit $20k a month on August 1st 2021. Oh right, July 29 was when they posted their "the fate of TTS" and whined about their income and GW, etc.

They don't want to do the actual work that is popular enough to get them the subscribers and views, because it's more work than everything else they to crap out. Same thing with the 40k book reviews, podcasts, ttrpg, etc. they tried but got a fraction of the views for.
Hunter is really mid and mostly based around reusing the characters of Text To Speech with a new coat of paint so it would be considered their own IP... Sounds familiar?

Issue is that while 40K has a lot of worldbuilding to have the characters work off from, Hunter meanwhile is JUST the characters inside the relatively mundane WoD world where you probably know most of the lore if you have any cursory interest in the Role Playing scene. So shit gets stale, especially as characters act more like CalArts version of their TTS counterparts.

It doesn't help that if Text to Speech took several years to reach critical point of faggotary "full year for an episode", Hunter started on that level, so it is hard to care, and the text only episodes are a fucking bore.

Basically if they just played some Hunter homebrew once a week it would have at least gain momentum.

I dont remember, but Im pretty sure that WhiteWolf is more sue happy than GW is if these clowns try to make merch. Cause, I recall them going after the Underworld movies for pretty much plagiarizing their shit. There was also claims them going after the Twilight saga chick, but I couldnt find any proof of that.

It doesn't matter because WhiteWolf is seen as the more player friendly company. GW will forever be considered the bad guy of the tabletop playing scene almost entirely due to them caring more about profits than catering to politics.

Modern White Wolf doesn't exist anymore. After the gay holocaust shit in vtm 5th, paradox basically dumped the entire team and then outsourced re-publishing the book(renegade Game Studios) .VTM Bloodlines 2 also recently had someone at Paradox in an interview claiming that even if blood lines 2 were a success at this point, they aren't going to bother with a third unless it's licensed out by another studio, that says they aren't even willing to blow smoke up investor asses at this point regarding bloodlines 2 and just want to be done with the shit. They also stopped bothering with the fan program they had running for content creators with the WoD watermark to put on the screen and shit a couple of years ago.

WoD has been nothing but a pain in the ass for Paradox, and they seemingly want nothing to do with it at this point other than to stop being a liability.

Also, there's a big difference between the TTS guys just literally copying GWs art and making it wiggle around the screen with maybe a different hat or something on it, and the actual art they had someone come up with for their hunter the parenting crap. The art btw, is fucking awful. It's not just cal arts versions of the characters.

Yeah, that was some point around episode 25 or so. And right after that was when they tried coming up with all of the filler shit that would get 10% of the views.

Basically if they just played some Hunter homebrew once a week it would have at least gain momentum.
Funny you say that, because apparently they decided to play Mage: The Ascension of all fucking things, released an episode of it a month ago, and haven't done shit since. This is after having done 2 hour solo sessions(4 of them) with the players 3 months ago, to handle the awakening part of the backstories and somehow roped Fredreick Knudsen into it? These guys do the opposite of building momentum for basically everything.

And this was after they got paid by Paradox to make that stellaris video almost 4 years ago.

It doesn't matter because WhiteWolf is seen as the more player friendly company. GW will forever be considered the bad guy of the tabletop playing scene almost entirely due to them caring more about profits than catering to politics.
And it's honestly kind of funny they're still seen as that, because they haven't really existed in 5-6 years. Renegade did finally get a Hunter and Werewolf 5th edition out in the past year but the WoD franchise at this point is so fucking dead I've only seen people mention that they exist, not actually talking about playing any of it(beyond the basic VTM stuff).

Because last I checked combat was gutted in VTM (turning into a rock-paper-scissors game) and Werewolf was huge a mess of a book. Hunter 5E is however a strange mix, it has combat, but removed the whole "Yer the chosen one" stuff and seemingly took a page from Hunter the Vigil. But then again, besides Vampire and Werewolf, other games in WoD were always a crapshoot in theirs of popularity (hello Wraith)

Fair enough, I tried watching one episode of Hunter, but quickly "noped" out of it.

You should probably blame the LARPers still hanging on from the late 90s and early 2000s for that. It's either dice cards, or rock paper scissors since you can't exactly just start rolling dice in the middle of a bunch of nerds all trying to play improv theater. I know there was an updated set of minds eye theater rules published a while back(I think 2012?) but that was tied to the VTM 20th anniversary edition, I think? There was some weird shit regarding publishing companies shuffling around because the damned Eve Online people of all things had bought the rights at some point.

I miss the days when kitbashing was encouraged. When you got more than a handful of loadout options for HQ characters. When the Emperor's Children update would entail a Primarch, maybe a Captain, and a variety of upgrade sprues.

Here's what GW should do instead of trying to do a bunch of Emperor's Children standalone stuff like their own special terminator kits:

View attachment 6503080View attachment 6503082View attachment 6503085

Sell me a GW brand Green Stuff Stamp so I can imprint Emperor's Children insignias, screaming faces, slanneshi logos, et cetera in greenstuff on my own minis at will.
That's all a direct result of gw losing the lawsuit. They pivoted away from anything being kit bashed over fear of copywrite and trademark issues. Same reason they nuked fantasy for sigmar.

Sort off, kind off, the VTM20th edition is basically an updated version of VTM..mm...3rd edition I think? An it's more the widely played one, as it had rules for combat, stats for various weapons and etc. VTM 5e is where they ditched all that and boiled it down to "power vs power", which nuked whatever reason to have any guns, since now it's like Pokemon "fire beats water" type shit.

AH ok I thought you meant literal rock paper scissors(since that has been a thing in VTM due to the LARPers). I haven't actually bothered looking into any of the 5e shit in detail to be honest, because I just cannot fathom myself playing like I'm still some 90s edgelord at this point(plus the fact that it seems like support is either going to just not exist, or continue to be a weird mess because it seems like the past decade of WoD has been failed corporate tard wrangling).

The biggest problem with 5E vamps, is that it playes like a 90's Edgelord shit, but it tries to be REALLY heavily into a political thriller bit. Which, ye that was thing with Vampire, but it had this balance between that and 90's edgelord stuff. 5E vampire just goes BALLS deep into that shit, sooo...hope you enjoy a SUPER heavy roleplay game asshole with Pokemon type combat.
Why the fuck? Mage is infamous for being strange shit to play.
I mean, could have been worse. They could have been trying to play Wraith, that shit wouldn't get passed by a 1st stage of playing with how fucking boring it is

I remember seeing a video about Wraith, it's like the devs couldn't decide on a gameplay and scale and ended up not having both. In general I never liked WoD scale of having some games being invalidated by others, like the whole Vampire conflict is small potatoes compared to mages reshaping existence.

Also the worst is probably the game where you are literally mind breaking people but justify it as making them better people while also trying to parallel itself with the LGBT community with the author being a sex pest.

No, the worst shit about Mage was trying to work the whole "Paradox" mechanic, where you couldn't just fireball a fucker, you LITERALLY had to explain how "X dude suddenly burst into flames" or your ass was grass. An honestly, you think Wraith was bad in power scale or Mage? Dude, lemme tell you about Demon the Fallen aka "Fuck every piece of lore we wrote for all these other books. This shit is invalid, it's all about God and Fallen angels duking it out"

Meant CalArts as the tone of the writing. It's safe edgy where everyone is screaming all the time and the characters might as well be TTS cast doing a cosplay.
Yeah, I got that. But the actual art is shit too.

At this point I really don't understand why they're still getting $20k a month via patreon unless it's because the WoD fans are so desperate for something, they've all latched onto this regardless of the channel not bothering to produce what people actually want from them. Especially considering some of their updates on patreon

We're making good progress on Chapter 5!

Currently, we're ahead of schedule, even.

Unfortunately, I must report that the newest Chapter is... uGHHg...

45 minutes long? Something like that?

There was a lot to cover, I'll just put it like that.

It might end up shorter as we go.

But, for now, we're looking at the longest Chapter to date.

So, even with us being ahead of schedule, it will still sadly take some time before the release of this Chapter. We'll of course update you on the state of the thing as we go.

What's also worth mentioning is that progress on the Chapter might slow down again as we enter deeper into the summer season and people take some time off.

In September, a whole lot of us are gonna be meeting up to fuck around here in Sweden, so that's gonna be an instance of no real work possibly getting done for one. But, 'til then, we're gonna work to stay ahead of schedule so, when we hit the holiday, it'll just be a +/- = 0 situation.
Early August
It's me Earndil again for an untimely update for you all, one that has very little to properly announce.

This shall be a short update, but we endeavor to keep you all in the loop, so:

On effectively ALL FRONTS for the past two weeks, we have been met with obstacles that have greatly reduced our productivity, a large portion of our staff have gone on vacation.
As that is the time of the year for such things.

With Karl and Garrot stuck on two seperate islands, and even our precious Alfabusa mired in the swamp of Fatherhood as his wife has returned to the mines for helping on finances, leaving him in charge of his SONS.

Production has slowed to a crawl on everything SAVE FOR ART!!!
Which is extremely epic, big shoutouts to our fulltimers and freelancers Iro, Inktooth, Rude Rubicante, Noelle, Cockpuncher, S-elliot, and Kristina for maintaining a solid work output in the face of these.......................................................................... vacations...............
So wtf were they doing the months before that?
Late August

BIG FIRST ITEM,

EVERYONE WHO WAS VACATIONING IS NOW NOT DOING THAT THANK GOD.

Everyone who had previously gone on vacation for summer has RETURNED and has begun working LIKE MAD to make up for lost time (before we go on vacation again in September fuck...)

As a group we are now resuming epic and heavy work on the upcoming Audio Drama which we fully intend to try and release this very month!

IT'S REALLY GOOD,

IT'S GOT THIS GUY CALLED BIG-D IN IT,

AND HIS LITTLE FRIEND KITTEN, AND

A wall.

BECAUSE we have been working very hard at making this Audio Drama release, this has had the effect of making Chapter 5 of Hunter the Parenting fall back a bit, but we are hoping that this 1 Hour and 30 Minute Audiolog will make up for that a bit.

We are also working on another audiolog to release hopefully before Chapter 5 but we're not overly sure, we've just started recording on it, so here's hoping.

It's gonna be a good one... starring your favorite Child Guy...

Boy, and a delightful story he has written.

Norfolk Wizard Game is facing issues.

The render for it takes a full two days to complete and every time now, for the last 4 render attempts, the render has at some point during this time span frozen and stopped working for completely alien reasons. This is extremely troubling and we're trying to troubleshoot, really sorry for the extreme delay on this front.

Riches of Arkansas is also making steady pace, set to have our first recorded full episode game sometime in September, owing to my continued split focus on my Job and my work here...

In terms of other projects, a second Turnip28 Battle Report has been spotted on the horizon, filled with mushrooms, violence, edible soup bowls, and a sizable lack of real elephants. It's still in the early stages, and as such we won't know too much more until much later.

Beyond that though, gamers and Gummers, we are excited that work has resumed, and hope to have more fun to show in the future!

Until next time, have a poppeng rest of your day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two fucking days? I have no idea wtf riches of arkansas is supposed to be other than yet ANOTHER side project to interfere with their main content that they don't want to do. And I don't know... maybe plan vacations better? It's just excuse after excuse like they've been doing for the past fuck... 7 years? Also at some point they did finally do some sort of merch, it's a plushie of one of their characters, looks like shit to be honest. https://www.makeship.com/products/kevin-plush-1

So shit gets stale, especially as characters act more like CalArts version of their TTS counterparts.
I only watched the first episode, so maybe it got better (or worse) after that, but it seemed that it was pandering very hard to the fujo audience, perhaps appropriately for WoD. Hard to read anything else into making not-Kitten and not-Magnus a couple.
