I’m sorry, people are angry about characters doing epic yet improbable shit in a setting built around doing epic yet improbable shit?
It's actually funny because anyone complaining about the marines killing a bio titan haven't actually done the mission because it isn't like you're swinging at it with a chainsword. Same with the bitching about the hive tyrant, after it was already blown up, dropped multiple stories, had a building land on it, and was permanently impaled with a steel beam.

Also they sound like people who have never actually played tabletop, because situations where some bullshit little unit needs to take out a tank, wounds on a 6, tank fails a save, tank explodes and does damage to other nearby enemy shit does happen.

Sure, but this is the same GW that in the third war for Armageddon, as in the entire damned planet, only had 1.5 million guardsmen involved. Even the larger nations in WW1 mobilized more troops than that on their own(Germany, UK, US, Turkey, France, etc.). And for WW2 it's even more absurd as even Yugoslavia and Romania mobilized as many more more troops than that. Then you get shit in the siege of terra novels like a line of space marines in a trench(I think it was mostly white scars?) with an oncoming army of death guard, waiting till they were only 10 meters away before firing, what the fuck? These writers know fuck all about guns, vehicles, the military in general, and even historical conflicts. Especially with regard to Imperial Guard related grimderp, most of that shit is practically just WW1/II era fetish porn.
I'm willing to let a lot of that stuff slide. Not just for the reasons mentioned by others, but also because at some point you're making entertainment. I'm sure there's a place for hyper accuracy, like that episode of FireFly where they have to figure out how to fire a gun in space, but when people complain John Wick doesn't wear ear protection, that's a detail I don't think would improve the movies in way.

So yeah, in a setting with super human space knights with chainsaw swords, modern armies using World War era uniforms and tactics is fine to me. Though I like Pretorians so maybe I'm biased. I don't even mind Krieg much, it's more their internet fanbase won't shut up about them. Even pedantic nerds who complain about inaccuracies in tank design have a point, but the rule of cool works for me.

It's been a thing since Fire Warrior at least. I remember some guys headcanon that he was possessed by a chaos god or something in order to justify how one fire rookie fire warrior could take out dozens of space marines. I don't remember those kinds of complaints about Battle Sister, but that was a VR only game so nobody played it.

Wait till you tell them during World War 2 there were several instances of a lone soldier holding back an entire battalion of troops single handedly on multiple occasions on both the allied and axis side.
Michael Wittmann
Günter Halm
both of these men turn the tides of the battles they will part of by the single acts of bravery

40K is always funny in army scale, either the fighting force is 0.001% of the world population or 10000%, no inbetween.

Oh sure, but people just tend to forget at times even when it isn't trying to be grimderp, just how fucking dumb the setting can be. It gets even dumber when people insist that the tabletop needs to be "lore accurate" when GW themselves can't determine what that is at this point.

Indeed, and that's fine. Until you get some autist who should be playing historicals and counting buttons on minis there instead of bothering people about armor marks, crying about some obscure regiment that hasn't had a mention anywhere in 20 years, etc.

I honestly didn't think it was possible for this game to get any worse. Sure it crashes constantly, usually on start up, so the game is already unplayable but at least the game crashing was the most it would do. Saber's gone the extra mile this time and now it does all that but if you have the balls to try to tab out of the game, because maybe you have dual monitors and want to use the rest of your PC, it'll just blue screen the whole system. Well done. I'm impressed by how bad a game can be and still get praised. Truly GOTY.

bothering people about armor marks
Now that I can (sometimes) not ruin transfer decals, I've been putting them on. I included the armor marks this time, if only for decorative purposes. All those Roman numerals for "companies"? Yeah, fuck that. I'm basically gonna use those as individual jersey numbers, so to speak.

Scrubbed and repainted my OG Dark Angels now that I'm more experienced. Though it took me a while to get a green shade I liked. My kitchen sink looks like the surface of Isstvan-3.

I've heard some real scary shit there. Like the Emperor's Champion who lost in close combat to some Fire Warriors on account of the Emperor the dice failing him.
And its just nerfs. Bolters need love, they needed it 2 patches ago.
That's what happens when you have team-based PvE/PvP and you're not allowed to have any of their different varieties of starter weapon stand out. There's way too many bolt weapons out there and Relic is terrified of making any of them a "superior" variant. Even though the Heavy Bolt Rifle is already the obvious best one due its combination of magazine size, range, and overall stability and accuracy. Meanwhile the basic bolt rifle is astoundingly mediocre and none of the carbines are fit to lick the empty magazine well of the SM1 storm bolter.

Not quite what I meant. I was referring more to the "nuh uh, that legion didn't have access to whatever particular mk IIV pattern blah blah so you shouldn't have that mini in your army painted that way" type of armor marks.

lol

...Same difference? We're both referring to the kind of sperg who flips shit about minutia nobody cares about.

I'm seeing people rage about four Marines killing a Bio Tyrant
The series can be full of bullshit, at times. But at least they've actually let you aim and fire the starship-grade guns, this time.

However, shit is getting kind of boring unless they do something absurdly awesome. Like playing as an Dreadnought, for once.

git gud at aiming, scrub. The best bolter is the starting bolter on a headshot.

That's odd. I think I had alt tabbed it very smoothly forever, it was one of the parts of the game that ran very well.

The funny thing is, it is always online, and due to shitty servers, the pirate edition runs smoother lol.

I feel the same. The Heavy bolt rifle is the only servicable if not great rapid fire gun, the heavy bolter is ok but rather inaccurate, and the grenade bolter is only good because of the grenades.

The rest are just... meh. The stalker and sniper are very low on ammo and the las sniper outdoes them anyway. The HB just can't compete with the meltas.

I hope majorkill just fades out of existence he has taken the helm of normies first warhammer kore channel with his shitty 13 minutes videos. Atleast Arch went deep and gave us hours of content.

And ofcourse like a hypocrite he literally used nword on the daily and tried to dunk on Arch. Nowadays he just post videos with an Australian accent so terrible that I feel I am being sawed alive slowly
Majorkill is an arsehole whose safe edgy stuff got boring years ago. If he had a channel that covered lore like a normal human I’d watch that.

Arch is a fucking annoying cock who I think I’d stamp the life out of if I met him in person. I hope he loses his virginity by getting raped to death by a wild pack of migrants.

Are there any lore channels by normal people? No silly voices, no playing characters, not looking like a gender blob, no smuggling in far-left or far-right politics? I just want to listen to lore and not have a clue who the person would vote or worrying they’ll troon out one day.

Like, you can read a wiki, my dude.

I do love how GW is allergic to doing anything that would actually make the customer base happy hey we released this cool thing for rogue trader about dogs are we gonna make dog models for armies no the imperial guard doesn't get dogs for reasons.
What's that you wanna blood packed book and models never getting that
what's that you want sons of sack
Nope
