It's why I'm flip flopping on Horus Herasy. I'll never get to play it as intended. But the plastic in the box is good value and I'm the one basic bitch that likes Space Marines unironically.I feel FOMO with their bundles more than anything. Old eldar combat patrol? Could be a good start to a new project, discontinued. New one? Not as great and has a long life.
In a strange twist. Local GW man told me not to worry about fomo, because HH3 isn't on the cards for the near future, and if it was the box would be just as good value. I highly doubt that,
I wondered the same thing too. Still do. Though there are some clues from the GPU shortages in 2021.As for FOMO - I cant wrap my head around why a company would give a shit about the secondary market. I mean sure it means their products sell out, but if half of your customer base can't even order the fucking thing then what's the point?
- Selling out means no inventory is left. Excess inventory sitting on shelves is a bane for retail.
- FOMO means people will pay more than they're worth.
- Selling all stock to one scalper is better than selling to 100 loyal customers because it's less of a logistical headache. You don't have to send out orders, deal with returns, etc.
