Had a few games of Space Marine 2 last night and matched with 2 other Iron Hands. Was good to see some fellow appreciators of the Iron Tenth, the only legion worthy of being called Iron.

Iron Warriors are paranoid faggots who throw bodies at walls because mathematical calculations deem the losses acceptable, literal nu-Krieg tier retards.

Glad to get that out of my system. Ready for my puzzle stickers.

Reminder that Perturabo got dabbed on by a coked-out retard and his legion of retards, got all but killed by it, lost valuable assets and invited evil into his legion because he was desperate for friendship.

They even had a chief apothecary murdered and harvested, on their flagship and just took it. Nothing happened to Fabius for this based act and the IW legion champion was literally made by an EC apothecary and half-chad to boot.

Iron Warrior fans are insufferable with the “we hate Chaos” nonsense, they’ll say that and field a nigga like this boy, fresh out of the Daemonculaba

100%, 40k Iron Warriors are fucking based. I was genuinely butthurt reading somr of their HH material, Iron Warriors just taking L after L. How the fuck did they manage to make the Emperors Children more competent than the IW? They really did the traitors dirty imo but especially the Iron Warriors.

I'd say Storm of Iron & Dead Sky, Black Sun are the essential Iron Warriors reading for anyone interested in IW. Storm of Iron shows just how terrifyingly competent they actually are at siege warfare rather than just making meatgrinder assaults like in Heresy.

Dead Sky, Black Sun shows how utterly corrupted they actually are by Chaos, shit like the Daemonculaba as you said. Iron Warriors fans needs to embrace it, cos models like the Warpsmith are amazing.

I kinda like the Wikia because it unashamedly summarizes codexes and books worth of content, you can read the entire about the entire Siege of Armaggedon in great detail, although 1d4chan has a decent enough summuary of the Siege of Terra books that seem like it was better than the mess that was the book

Given they make books to sell models, and Knights are basically the peak or close to it of points per $, unlikely. Despite knights being cool as hell and the choice of the best people. There's not even a book for the $700 forgeworld knights!

Siege of Castellax was also a good showing, Rhodaan has a set of slaves dedicated to painting his demonic jump-pack with blood and feels kinship with the wings. Their staple units are two flavours of daemonic living weapons, Havocs and Obliterators.

I love the flesh and metal aesthetic, I bought the DOOM: Eternal artbook just for kitbashing inspiration. When my EC marines are done, I’m gonna finally make some really fucked-up biomechanical horrors, because it’s cool! It blows my mind that CSM “fans” don’t like the heavy metal influence and GW is to blame, they fucked up immensely with the Undivided Legions because the majority have been somehow fluffed into “hating chaos” and now you have idiots who hate their chaos space marines being chaosy. Grogs look at the HH characterizations and ADB’s NL and think that’s the majority.

FFS most of the major warbands literally buy new recruits from a man in a skin suit who’s cosmic purpose is to run nightmare factories to fuel the Long War but somehow, he’s been written to be a gender-egalitarian atheist who wants to uplift everyone.

Perturabo was a retard who for all his superhuman capabilities could only conjure the Soviet strategy of "Rush B". The retard wasted resources on day one with his decimation order and got butthurt no one would print him a medal for it. (I do like the hazard stripes+polished metal colors though).
 
I'll play Devil's advocate here and say is it really too much for a thank you? Perturabo was an idiot, and wasteful sure, but a thank you once in a while might've prevented an entire legion from turning against the Imperium. Scolding him back into compliance didn't do anything other than upset him more and cement his self-righteous suicide. If giving him a little medal and a pat on the head is what it takes to prevent the daemonculaba that's a pretty easy price to pay. Like any of the other primarchs if the Emperor would've actually spent some time to talk to him, and explain his plan for Perturabo maybe he'd be less bitter. Even Calliphone before she died couldn't help but poke and stab at his insecurities instead of trying to reason with him, and then is shocked that he wouldn't listen to hear.

Well Pert more than anything was lonely but made himself completely unloveable and unlikeable. As with most guys who have Pert’s complex, it sucks that you’re suffering but if you’re doing it in silence and being a world-class cunt in the process, how is anyone supposed to know?

It’s telling that Fulgrim at the apex of egomania and murder attempt even seemed to feel bad for the big guy, once he saw inside his head.

On the flipside would it have killed Perturabo to not be such a fucking sperg? The guy had a semi normal upbringing, which doesn't give him the same excuse as the other Chaos retards like Angron or Mortarion, he had the ability to design great works of military and civilian engineering but in the case of the ladder was too introverted to commission them and only had to put basic tactics when campaigning with his army of super soldiers with their fleet of dark age of technology era super weapons. Maybe the Emperor could have given him a participation trophy like the modern US military, but that wouldn't have prevented him from just getting upset some other Primarch got a different medal from his that is fancier.

I feel like every time I do any co-op(rare) all I see are Salamanders, le funny Meme Ravens wearing stolen chapter gear haha lol, or rainbow marines. I saw an Imperial Fist once, though, and one other time I matched up with another Son of Medusa. But that's it.
