Considering some of the dumb shit like the battletech warhammer magnet, game mats, etc I'm pretty sure it's some paralegal having been incompetent. Then other parts of it was dumb shit like this
The original post has been deleted but it's obvious they were crying about GW going after their etsy store, the only interesting detail is that it was over some shit they had stopped selling months prior to the notice(as if that changes things). Of course because they didn't use a throwaway or something people found an archived link to their page

Also given I am now sharting out my own autist headcanon, on the subject of colour schemes I am guessing that assuming the colour schemes for the OG legions were somewhat balanced, one missing Legion was Yellow/Orange and the other was some shade of Purple. This is by far the least spergy subtheory of my unified Lost Legion/Primarch theory (others involve Guilliman being almost literally cucked, the Sons of Malice, Catachan, Deathwatch, the OG Sisters of Battle predecessors, and cavemen to name a few)

As wild as it is to draw inspiration from Dune when thinking about 40k, maybe part of the Emperor setting Konrad up to fail was actively allowing and enabling this kinky shit so that when he inevitably rebelled and was purged, the Emperor or whatever designated goodboy he wanted to get the credit could ride in as the glorious liberators bringing justice even upon the Emperor's own sons, ala Duke Harkonnen's plan for Feyd Rautha to get the bounty of asspats for unseating and killing Rabban after the Duke encouraged Rabban to act like such a retarded psychopath

My guess is he massively underestimated how active Chaos was even if he knew how much a long term threat it was, and how it would not just lie back and take him acting out his plans in full view of them without them carefully laying out a series of rakes for him and his sons to step on.

Which makes sense given how he spent the vast majority of his life in a pre slaanesh-waking-up-and-raping-99-point-9-9-9-percent-of-eldar-to-death-and-then-raping-them-again-in-space-hell-forever-skibidi universe, where the chaos gods were a whole lot more sluggish, mindless, and abstract rather than proactively and effectively engaging in realspace fuckery, and after Slaanesh woke up and started pegging he was busy trying to set shit up on earth for the unification wars and great crusade.

This would also explain the bad writing decision not to warn his sons about Chaos or what shit to be careful about to the point of what in hindsight looks like really bad writing insanity, nor to recognise what in hindsight were warning signs his plans were actively being tampered with by the gods, as he genuinely did not realise they were no longer sleepwalking or mindlessly reacting as they had been since the end of the War in Heaven, but were now fully awake and very fucking eager to start fucking with the universe as a whole and him specifically.

Khorne and Slaanesh tried to doubleteam him on signus. Nurgle declared dibs during whatever the fuck was happening on the Venegeful Spirit at the end of the Heresy. Tzeentch had his own realdoll Sanguinius project long after the Heresy. Horus thought he should have been Warmaster. Lion and Guilliman thought he should be the new Emperor. Jaghatai fell in love with him in their first meeting. Russ openly said he would lose a fight against him. Fucking Konrad liked him. The Silent King of the Necrons went out of his way to befriend him fucking somehow.

I mean....we get it by now Black Library. Everybody and everything in the fucking universe loved Sanguinius as much as Dan Abnett loves Jeeerhn Greeehmehtecess, and wanted to either fuck his ass or have him fuck their ass. I honestly half expect it to be retconned that the whole Tyranid invasion of Baal was because the Hive Mind itself also wanted to claim Sanguinius's body out of sheer carnal bug lust which is also the real reason it invaded the setting to begin with.

I’m putting my money down on one being a marine and the other being a Votranny. It may not be a Night Lord since they’re the Dark Heresy villains but I maintain a second marine companion is needed.
 
Are all the Total War games worth playing or should I just dive straight into the third one?

As much justified clowning gets thrown at the Heresy novels for oh so many of plot points, story decisions, character motivations and consistency, and general writer autism or idiocy, the remembrancer shit holds up pretty good.

On the one hand it shows just how utterly convinced the Emperor was on how he had pretty much already won and wanted there to be figurative and literal cameras there for the victory lap and to make sure the history books would have all the correct narratives in place ahead of time.

On the other hand we get to see various space media retards from journos to singers to philosophy youtubers to webcomic artists die horribly after unwittingly finding themselves in the middle of a series of interconnected rape/poo/kill/burd demon apocalypses.

Only reason you'd wanna have all three is you can play the Immortal Empires, which gives you a HUGE map and all the factions (bonus if you have some of the DLC's)

At least now we'll have all 4 DoW campaigns under one roof, instead of having to install 4 different versions of essentially the same game. Though I feel this should have been a free patch or at the very least an upgrade for existing owners.

Space Marine re-releasing on PC and xbox but not PS4/5 is dumb however. Again, feels like it should have just been a patch.

edit: most of the WH games are also on sale right now

For better or worse BB3 is slowly but surely being fixed by the Frenchie faggots who released it in a semi-broken state. In another year or two it might even be what it should be like for a newly released game.
 
More DLC coming out and more confirmed future DLC for Rogue Trader is nice.

New CRPG is also very nice.

DoW definitive edition could be pretty cool.

Oh, and I see Battlesector is getting a 12 mission SoB campaign (finally, a new campaign) and also a new game mode that sounds decent. Might finally check that game out again since release.

Gladius still getting content releases is neat. That game has received much more support than I ever thought it would.
 
The Kroot chick is the new flavour of the month and the Arbites push is a shockingly strong bit of brand coordination that’s actually working on me, a staunch Robocop fan.

What companions do you guys wanna see for Rogue Trader? The logical ones, for me at least would be the rest of the Blackstone Fortress team, ideally a highly customizable servitor companion with a Martian Cult origin/archetype and a Zoat mercenary or failing that, an Ork mercenary.

DLC 4 is more cryptic but it’s set in a ship graveyard.

We should have had a Blackstone Fortress game tbh. There is enough meat on the bones there for a good RPG.

Likewise for any number of things within the scope of 30K/40K. The Unification Wars, Age of Apostacy, any of the crusades (the Macharian Crusade would make for a good 4x game, for example) etc. Nope. Why do that when you can sell the IP to the highest bidder and have them shit out mobile card games and mid "strategy" games.
