Honestly these are the worst people in gaming right now. Ruthless is fine, Lethal is boring, and Absolute is what Lethal should have been, but with Ruthless tuning instead of Lethal tuning.
They are about as bad as "pro esport gamers" turns out that catering to 1% of your audience and ignoring the rest just isn't a great idea. Who could have possibly guessed such a thing?

The Kroot chick is the new flavour of the month and the Arbites push is a shockingly strong bit of brand coordination that’s actually working on me, a staunch Robocop fan.

What companions do you guys wanna see for Rogue Trader? The logical ones, for me at least would be the rest of the Blackstone Fortress team, ideally a highly customizable servitor companion with a Martian Cult origin/archetype and a Zoat mercenary or failing that, an Ork mercenary.
I really hope we get to see an Ork Freebootah companion. It would fit with the whole "weird entourage" vibe. Another neat one would be a Hive Crime lord. Maybe the RT would discover a concerning portion of the crew are in some sort of large-scale gang that has been doing business over the RT's head so the party goes to investigate.

If Geedubs has any brains, they’ll stop hiding cool generic Inquisitors behind store anniversaries and that “streaming service” nobody signs up for. A “build an inquisitor” kit like the old Space Marine commander kit would be a fantastic tie-in. Literally advertise it as “Continue your quest” and watch it move “Agents of the Imperium” kits.

I hope we get a daemonhost companion/can make one, the Daemonette GF companion was cut from RT and that’s fucking unacceptable and discriminatory to boot. Daemon characters who aren’t just there to job are usually pretty great, Raum, The Exalted, Clarion, Tormageddon (dumb name aside), the Word Bearer trilogy Pokemon, Skraivok’s pimp and even the one from Eisenhorn were all solid.

You must be excited no? I mean given the nature of the NL, there’ll definitely be one who throws his lot in with the protag and is obviously the secret companion.
I hope it’s a Talos like character upset the legion strayed far from Curze’s teachings and mad about their use of daemons and psykers while occasionally having Baldurs Gate issues where he’s found around a pile of skinned corpses of people who previously did petty crime

Yeah I agree.

It feels like from Ruthless upwards a small mistake can cost you the majority of your health in an instant which is fine by me, that's my mistake. I'm also fine with needing to stay by my allies on Lethal upwards to get health.

The problem is that, in my experience, the biggest consistent causes of failure are being attacked from range whilst being animation locked and swarms of spore mines literally just spawning behind you and killing you instantly. This is bullshit.

where does everyone get spare bits from, or 3d printed parts.
I assume a lot of people do this, but save your unused bits for later. They come in handy for kitbashing. One of my Iron Warriors has an Ork claw for an arm and a plasma pistol in his good hand.
I'm trying to get 40 chain axes
An oddly specific request. I googled "40k chainaxe kit" and found a few sites like MiniWar Bits or Black Legion Market. If those don't work for you, maybe just bite the bullet and get a World Eaters combat patrol?

My YouTube recommendations have been full of 40k slop as of late, including a bunch of stuff about "the emporors secret endgame revealed!" and "Lost legions named and detailed!".

I didn't watch them, but one I did see a bit of talked about how the name of the 11th legion is known because someone (I think it was horus?) tried to scream it while being mind wiped, and it lines up with some HH authors unofficial planned reveal for the 11th. It also mentions something about Rick Parsley saying that the lost legions weren't made for homebrew purposes (I'd always heard they were a reference to Rome but I'm no history buff) therefore GW giving us the details is a good thing.

Kinda boring
Thanks for the summery. Busy recently so might not get to watch it.

where does everyone get spare bits from, or 3d printed parts. Etsy is so fucking expensive now. I'm trying to get 40 chain axes been looking on etsy but all i can find costs an arm and a leg. so fucking annoying. Ebay is a wasteland don't even suggest it.
It depends on the bits. I'm a sucker for third party guard, and a lot of Wargames Atlantic and Northstar kits have an abundance of spare heads and weapons respectfully. eg. Each sprue of WGA infantry I've got comes with about 6 bodies, 8 las rifles, a plasma gun, a flamer, a grenade launcher, and about 24 heads. eg2. I've been chasing Northstar's Scavengers kits because each sprue of 5 guys comes with 14 autoguns.

For specifics like chain axes. I can't really help. Sorry.

Iirc for whatever reason Horus knew the names but whatever they did was so horrific even after turning to heresy he still didn’t bring it up. I think it was in vengeful spirit?

After watching the new saturnine reveal, another use I have in mind for them depending on the size is to use them as proxies for chaos obliterators

These look good as Iron Warriors

Saturnine and Plastic Mk2 both look great. I'll maybe pick some up. But mostly I'm eagerly awaiting them being something the community makes STLs for now that there's an "official" version to aim towards.

My Salamander friend has a raging hard-on for all that MKII goodness.

I like this guy, he’s exactly what the plastic praetors should be, very neutral.

Fabius, prior to Angel Exterminatus and the soft-retcon, looked more like a proper legionary and this is supposedly how he look as “Lord Commander Fabius” when he seized control during the Scouring, I actually prefer the look and that new Centurion practically has the same pose.

This guys are gonna be worth it for bits alone.

As a WH layman both in 40k and fantasy I really love rogue trader and it definitely sparked my idle curiosity into becoming more of an active interest, so I'm super hype for Dark Heresy. Was kinda saddened to see that space wolves are memed on pretty hard after playing the game, Ulfar is the goat. Super interested to see night legion in a spotlight as well.

Too many years of GW writing them as the wolf legion who does wolf things, with wolves as a theme because they're the space wolves so they're all wolfy. And that's in addition to so many space wolf players being probably the most obnoxious over the years with everything between 4xl three wolf moon shirts, to bitching about Magnus as if they're space wolves themselves when no one in the vicinity is even playing thousand sons, to just being furries.
