Why does it look so gray? I mean yeah its a warzone yadda yadda but its also funny space men: the game, and its an artistic endeavor. The entire thing just seems very uniformly gray with no real life or pops of color to make it interesting, Warhound titan notwithstanding. Gimme some fucking COLOREDS GW. We need the NAACP in here to set these bland YTs straight.

Does anything big come about from this rumor engine or is it just like a one off model thing? I've been seeing alpha legion talked about more and more recently on youtube and I could swear this was the spear of Alpharius but it could have also been some necron model too. This was an old old rumor they released back in November. I'm seeing hydras in the walls

Definitely isn't necron at all. There's none of the glyphs etched into it they normally have, or any of the orbs at the base.

If anything considering dark eldar are due for a release, I'd believe it was that over anything else.

Yeah, vicinity of a major metropolitan area with pride parades and shit. Youtube would have you believe that 40k events at local game stores may as well be pride parades or something but it just doesn't happen.

I actually forgot about a big "narrative" event I participated in a while back that had a few trannies, they were wearing muumuus, dresses, and weird shit on the first day, 2nd day they were dressed like normal men in pants and shirts(I think they realized no one gave a shit about them so they couldn't be bothered to try and parade themselves around the next day) but even that was only a handful of them compared to the number of players involved and I've never seen them at stores before for tournaments, pick up games, or anything of the sort. I can only assume that they must have been some of the trannies constantly posting to reddit that maybe play 2 games a year if that. They were also exceptionally bad players as well. not bad as in cheating or trying to bring up politics during games or whatever, but they just played worse than the average random schoolkid you might encounter for a pickup game at the local store. Not that all kids play badly either, there's a couple in the area that have damn near tabled me on occasion but you get what I'm saying.

People aren't scared of the trannies, they're scared of what trannies infesting a space turns that space into given enough time.

It's not just trannies existing in the space, being a tranny isn't like being gay or a nog, most of those people are normal and sane and bathe regularly. Trooning out becomes intertwined with every aspect of your life and personality for most modern day trannies, and that includes hobbies, so once a hobby gets enough trannies in it (because trannies have ego problems) it stops being about the hobby and more about [new avenue to get validation for being a tranny].

After a few years it becomes borderline impossible to interact with the hobby outside of your own group of friends without being eyeraped with political screeds from both the fans and the company, and that leads to burnout in a lot of people.

"Just ignore them lol lmao" is a good strategy for keeping your sanity, no once can take away your minis or force you to accept new lore. But at a certain point it becomes a less and less appealing hobby to get into for normal people when 90% of the new lore is dogshit and half the fandom are insane people who cut themselves.

Do I personally think that 40k is about to collapse under stinkditch corpses? No. But some people are worried about that, and I think it's a fair concern to have in current year.



Anyway, on a more pleasant note, how do you guys think the tradition of Fists getting their asses branded actually started? Was it a dare?

Sure but there's a difference in concern about trannies actually ruining shit(and they do) and this paranoia about encountering trannies in the wild that people seem to be letting dictate their own activity, which is just letting the trannies win without doing anything. Or it's just an excuse to never paint shit or bother playing. The post on the previous page bringing the trannies up wasn't as specific, but there have been posts in this thread before regarding not wanting to bother playing because there might be trannies seemingly without even knowing if they're actually even there. When the topic inevitably comes up monthly, it comes off as paranoia.
 
I could go the rest of my life without hearing about trannies again, especially in relation to my space man game.

The new 30k combat patrol box things look pretty cool. They also seem fairly well structured, at least the Guard and SM boxes do. I wonder if theyre going full elite status with Mechanicum or this is a 40k mechanicus problem where their models are fucking ASS in their combo boxes because theyre literally half the point size of the other boxes. Not super familiar with 30k so idk.

I know there's a lot of drama going around but I haven't actually checked in to see the specifics.

Long story short, they revealed in a random sidebar in the new GK codex that the Decree is a standing order from the Emperor to the Grey Knights to shove his bony ass back onto the Golden Throne at all costs if he ever tries to get off it, and that this was part of the reason they were created. Some people are complaining because it seems pretty underwhelming for a super-duper secret protocol that's been kept locked away for millennia, some are complaining because why would the Grey Knights of all people get that job, some are complaining because it was hinted in The End and the Death that the Decree was a modified version of Basilio Fo's anti-Astartes virus that would kill every single Space Marine in the galaxy, and some people are just complaining that it was revealed at all.

For 30k the mechanicum box is pretty good point wise, considering that;
Solar Auxilia: 337 points
Marines: 595 points
Machanicum: 445 points
