I’m talking about the actual sketches and actual, physical artifacts he had, Pert found a cache on Terra but Emps spent time with each primarch after they were discovered and though Pert later hated him, there was still that awestruck period most of them outside Angron and Morty had.

He gave all of the non-broken ones something during the time he was active in their lives, which was key to their identity (letting Ultramar remain intact) and was a defining moment for them and oftentimes the greater universe (banning psykers).
It's been a while since I read Hammer of Olympia but I'm virtually certain the da Vinci stuff was prior to any contact with Big E. The culture of Olympia is obviously based on that of Ancient Greece and it could be that planet is a repository of really ancient classical knowledge from Terra which would make sense as Antiquity and the Renaissance (inspired by works from the former) happened about as long ago from the standpoint of either 30K or 40K.
So there's a non-zero chance that he has an original Sonichu medallion sitting on a pedestal somewhere on Terra
Chris-chan is a Champion of Chaos Undivided:
  • Slaanesh: JULAAAYYY etc.
  • Khorne: VIRGIN WITH RAGE, chimping out over Sonic's arms etc.
  • Nurgle: DIRTY CRAPPED BRIEFS for example
  • Tzeentch: the Dimensional Merge

Angel Exterminatus has him owning physical Da Vinci artifacts. Very funny book, has two Iron Warriors going on the Pride of the Emperor and experiencing a Diddy party where Eidolon literally fed a geologist meth and told him it’d be really cool if he brought these things back to his legion.
>mfw Horus is a virgin with rage
It will never not be funny that the aloof Mongolian hick and the prettyboy wage-cuck are the only two Primarchs to have sex.

Kurze is canonically an incel, like he literally drinks in the sight of a naked chick, feels nothing then charges off to chase the children who were trying to rape her.

From Hammer of Olympia:

"Strategy boards occupied much of the hall's space. These were thronged by Iron Warriors arguing how best to represent the hrud in their simulated battles. Their recent setbacks had exercised their minds as much as their anger, and ambitious warsmiths could see the glory to be won if they concocted a winning strategy.

In truth, all warsmiths were ambitious, and they all had different ideas. In the first place, they could not agree how best to test their theories. Those that favoured the purity of wood block formations and outcomes decided by the casting of ten-sided dice argued bitterly with the proponents of cogitator-assisted hololith battle simulators."

"13:00 - Afternoon Wargames: The Iron Warriors set up miniature pieces representing their forces on an open table with complex rules and dice to test each others' grasp of strategy, known as BattleMace 5,000,000. Perturabo sometimes joins in on the 'fun'. An ancient Terran snack known as 'The Doritos' are brought by the truckload and are complemented by an equally ancient Terran beverage known as 'Mountain Dew'. Those who consume 'The Doritos' are not allowed to touch field operation manuals until they ritually cleanse and scrape their fingers. Anyone failing to do so will find their hands in their next meal. Of course, none of this is fun. Rules Lawyers, Munchkins, Powergamers: every single stick-to-the-book archetype you can think of is exercised here, and they won't have it any other way."

@Belisarius Cawl yeah, the IW are just /tg/ this is well-known lol and as to your slander against my primarch, I must present the following.

It’s tough being the best. I would’ve moved Mortarion to the homophobic section, it was famously his homophobia that drove Typhon to Chaos and made Magnus hate Morty for life.

We all know why he’s not coming back.

If you're going to put Sanguinius and Guilliman as gay then youd best put Dorn up there. The old straight guy that dumps his frumpy wife for a hot younger guy is a tale as old as time, and that fucker is a classic repressed silver fox archetype.

im not gay guys I swear

Primarchs, Astartes and especially Custodes are pretty gay in general

He's like the epitome of soy brit while constantly sucking off GW, and pretending he knows shit about 40k. Back when the new drop pods were announced he was bitching about drop pods having bases on his stream, they don't fucking have bases and also couldn't figure out that it was fewer sprues per drop pod. He fucks up other basics of 40k shit quite a lot too, even regarding space marines his favorite faction he humps GWs leg over, and will complain when space marines go 3 months without getting a new model as if there aren't a dozen other factions in the game. The guy consooms and doesn't even play or read shit.
He quite literally purchased a bunch of a color that GW has not made in years just to display it. "Dorn Yellow" I believe was the paint name. It was just a glaze, which in GW's case is essentially just a diluted ink paint. Painting yellow can be frustrating due to the particle size of the pigment and it's opacity so alot of people have taken to using yellow ink over bone colored base paint to create an easy and smooth yellow paint. That soy boy went out of his way to not only hoard a bunch of this discontinued paint but also to display it as well as a testament to his consooomerism.

What are people's take on paint pens? Do vanilla acrylic or "acrylic paint pens" work just as well?

Long story short, my recent mini painting has been a disaster. Constant problems (especially with skin) have resulted in a mess of a paint job. Making this worse is set up and teardown time is eating into my hobby time more than I'd like. I'm putting serious thought into trying those paint markers that have been doing the rounds since Gunpla got big.

The upcoming Army Painter pens are £50 for a starter set, which is a lot. Meanwhile, a local stationary sells "acrylic paint pens" and "acrylic pens" for £8 for a dozen pens, which is cheaper than a new set of brushes.

They have been around for ages. Overpriced. Wont replace traditional brushes or airbrushes.

Buuuuut

It will be good for 2 things. Touchups and trim. The former hard to colour match, the latter a godsend for chaos trim.

Even then just get the brush.

There's more to the problem with yellow paint than that. It actually usually isn't due to the pigment particle size, it's mostly due to using a transparent pigment to begin with. This is why on artist paints(winsor & newton, golden, liquitex, etc.) you get real pigment names, an opacity rating, series, and so on. There's also the matter of the miniature paint brands using cheaper produced pigments or a minimal amount(and sometimes adding fillers or something like titanium white to try and add more opacity). A long time ago there used to be a good opaque yellow pigment but it was toxic and eliminated in the 60's I believe it was. Rather than typing out the explanation, I'll just post a couple videos from a paint pigment autist who explains it(used to work as a chemist for a paint company or some shit).

At least the AK paint pens aren't speedpaint pens like army painter that look streaky even on video. But paint pens have been a thing for ages, gunpla has had them marketed for at least a decade now. Other than for some really specific things(details, trim, etc.) they tend to not be great for actually painting a mini(or a gundam kit). Personally I'd rather just use a brush or airbrush, but if you can find a way that it makes sense for your workflow... go for it then as it'll just be another tool in the toolbox but I personally don't see a justification for the cost.

Put paint on model, don’t buy something you can’t handle. Stop looking for the workaround, if you don’t like trim (fag) then don’t buy chad models and go play with your cute little Buzz Lightyear marines. There are no workarounds or alternatives in the road to perfection, put in the work. You got the shakes? Meditate and calm down. You’re lazy? Get the fuck up and paint, otherwise you’re just as much of a secondary as the lore tourists.

Oh and here’s another nigger marine. I love when they make the BL models nobodies. Talos? Never heard of her. Vorx? I think you mean Jamal Tyrone who debuted during the most politically-charged year of the hobby.

I learned the perils of yellow painting when I made my cosplay for Helldivers 2 last year.
