She's a fucking idiot who claims to be in marketing and spends the first 2/3 of the video convincing me that kickstarter is a mess because the market is way too diluted and thus a waste of time(which it absolutely is) before... telling me about her kickstarter. Also her painting was never as good as she thinks it is. One of the comments suggests she get into professionally painting busts and 1/8 scale models for STL producers, as if there aren't already professional painters those people could go to if they wanted to spend the money.

Space King doesn't need to be more than a surface level parody, especially since it's not even a direct parody of the setting thus things being inaccurate is irrelevant. Space King is to 40k, as Galaxy Quest is to Star Trek. The slop on the other hand is just disappointing. If they were at least discussing shit they were interested in it'd be fine, instead it's just reading off of lexicanum and the fandom wiki while being as lazy as possible.

So yeah, they're making FemStodes actually canon instead of just ignoring it to death like they should have. But it's BL, so, they were always going to rub wokeshit all over things if they had even an INCH of room to do so, so it's not surprising, either.

But oh well. 3d printer go brr, you don't have to buy Custodes anymore, the entire range has much superior STL versions out there. And with the recent reveal of that AI that can make printable 3D models from images -- there's already a STL scan of the new Terminator Calgar model generated from the marketing photos of the Heavy Metal painted version -- well, GW thrashing around in the wokeshit pit is a fitting end to a company that made 30 years out of stealing ideas from other franchises then suing smaller creators into oblivion.

Yeah those 3P party models go hard, I got a Telemachon awhile back and it’s great, even came with separate parts for EC and Black Legion. Covered in the feathers too, which is based. Still hilarious that the narrative lead had his own OC self-insert get cucked by Handsome Jack.

I’m just happy that Shield Captain Keffals bravely did not face the horde of Chaos chads and it’s very progressive that the first female custardes is an emotional wreck, I’d expect nothing less from Aaron the Incel.

I finished reading Fulgrim yesterday. It was exciting. I love reading about the details of each traitor legion's downfall. Julius went from enjoying art and literature to noise-freak and addicted sadomasochist. Fulgrim basically stayed the same but became worse. It's not Hamlet-level depth but most of the time, neither do our regular human feelings reach that deep. We're so removed from the physical and cognitive abilities of an Astartes but we can relate to their emotional anguish.

Seeing the fall to Chaos or the opening up to the worship of the Emperor (like Garro) is the most fascinating part to me. The action is fun too, of course. I'm missing a couple of the philosophical games the iterators played in the first and second book.

As an outsider to Warhammer-discourse (no minis, never been inside a shop, pirated books and computer games only) I noticed that little attention is put to the important role the many civilians played in the Horus Heresy. They deserve much more! If it wasn't for the degenerate artists under the influence of that Chaos temple the Emperor's Children might have had a better chance at resisting the temptation. Garro likely would have caved-in if it wasn't for Euphrati Keeler reaching out to him and supporting him.

I’ve seen most people (Guard players) starting to look into Konflict 47 a lot more. It does look interesting as a WW2 enjoyer and the rift could easily be hand waved away as “the warp”. Mechs look dope and as always WW2 aesthetics aren’t overwhelmed by the setting. Personally I’m just too committed and will just ignore this gay lore and keep on playing KT

ADB can write some good shit when he isn't allowed to go unto fan fiction or harp on his dad issues. Not that it isn't correct for most of Black Library.

Lorgar himself is a fuckup. Monarchia was after the Emperor got sick of telling him to get shit in order over the course of years. Guy had one of the largest legions, yet spent years building churches in every planet he conquered rather move to the next one.

In general the Emperor being strict with the legions is more of an informed trait than actually shown in writing. Almost every legion had a skeleton in the closet.
 
PTS for patch 11 is going on, and people are obviously sharing whats in it. Dont care about much of it, but man the Salamanders pack is so shit I just had to sperg about it even though I don't like them.

Some of the best blacksmiths in the setting right? If there's one thing theyre known for other than burning shit to the ground, its forging some of the swankiest wargear this side of mars. So what does Saber do for them?

-a brazier for your backpack that only the vanguard and heavy can use
-a chapter pauldron with a really ugly obsidian shale background with the Dragons head slapped in the middle. They also linked the chapter badge and trim together so you can't change what company your dude is in without changing both colors.
-that stupid looking helmet that came in their upgrade sprue
-a right pauldron that's just a low effort reskin of one of the Imperial Fist pauldrons, and you can't put any squad markings on it for some reason despite it having plenty of space.

Oh and saber somehow fucked up on of the Sally's successors. Unless the Black Vipers swapped chapter badges with the Iron Snakes, Saber messed up. And idk how you could possibly fuck this up when you apparently, supposedly, have GW breathing down your neck and working closely with you to make sure you get this stuff right. But this is the same dev that took 7 months to let you change your eye lense color then defended themselves by saying "we didnt know people would want this feature so much!". So whatever. Sucks if you're a salamanders fan in this game.


Oh yeah and people have datamined new faces for the marines because thats something worth wasting dev time and resources on: new helmetless faces for the characters we spend 95% of game time looking at the back of their heads. The obvious Space Wolf head is a nigger because god forbid you have a white viking. And the white scars gace is literally Dave Bautista kek. No Salamander head option though, because again if youre a Sally fan go fuck yourself I guess. /SPOILER]
