Call me old fashioned, but I think I'd rather just play DOOM or Wolfenstein if I want "boomer" shooters since everything else is just copying those any way. Or maybe I'm just salty that the Bitches are being "wasted" on VR shit and a Boltgun re-run.

Anyways, if you guys do successor chapters, do you like including things from their progenitors or do you like keeping them solely within their own chapters look?

She's also in this due to nepotism, her boyfriend is the VA from the first game.
I'm quite sad it's not Emma Gregory since she does all the SoB audiobooks and is a legitimately talented VA.
Just when she couldn’t get anymore repulsive.
Spilled a tall pot of nuln tonight, as you do.

Rotty can use a bit more attention but gonna put him down for the foreseeable future so I can get more done. It's just minor details to pick out and fix. I might have gone too far with the last drybrush of kies flesh. Thinking next in line to leave project limbo will be the Artel W Warboss, should be real easy. At present I dont have a technique for ork flesh and need to decide what to do with it after applying brown wash. HH Russ is assembled and needs spikey bits and icons now.
If the hobby autism gets annoying I'll dial it back, just like to share and utilize the pressure to keep going
No man keep it up, I got a voucher for $20 and I finally bought the models I want to kitbash Eidolon post-resurrection. The new Frankenstein flick made me want to finally do it.

No one will care (except maybe right-wing nationalists) if you make a chapter on Western and Japanese stuff, but if you touch the wrong spot with other cultures, you can get cancelled.
You got that wrong, the tankies and other leftists would be the ones who care if you make a "western" inspired chapter (because its not diverse enough) and if you make a non western inspired chapter (your disrespecting said culture).

Finally got a fine detail nozzle for my 3d printer, working on a couple of things my buddy sent over not long ago. Does anyone here know where I can get stls for this kind of stuff since it's pretty hard to come by and I don't wanna go on Reddit and be harassed by commission whores

I found a huge torrent of stls ages ago on reddit and the post was a few years old. Otherwise telegram groups. Ive come across 5-6 that have everything. I dont even dl models, more bases and bits but its all there. You'll have to do some detective work to find them though, they dont like link sharing for obvious reasons.

There's the old mothtrove torrent with a fuckload of stuff in it, and it still works if you can find it but it hasn't been updated in 3-4 years or so now. Otherwise, telegram is your best bet and there's a number of groups there easy enough to find looking for groups with STL in the name, focusing on hammer time, as it's easy to find a share of hammers, and then work from there as you see discussion in those groups.

If you can't find anything on telegram based on the text above, just give up.

I think with any game, theming is half the experience. There's a million different versions of Monopoly, not because any of them are different from each other, but because they want to imagine the game is some other franchise. With Boltgun is less about the game doing anything unique, people just want the aesthetics. In my opinion that's not really a bad thing. You don't need to reinvent the wheel. At least they are getting some attention. There has to be an intern somewhere at the home office who's job it is to remind them that the Sisters of Battle exist and are basically female Space Marines.

Blood left with me an itch that needed scratching. Boltgun is fun, the only problems I had with it was that it was too easy to get lost in some levels but that's normal in boom shoots. I would have preferred more period accurate CSM badies too but I get why they did what they did and as always 40k games are toy adverts for the minis so you need the current model line (outside the 6th ed cultists). I need to pick up cultic next time there's a steam sale

Its a shame that csm only has 2 cultist kits. It could really expand the range to get into mortal followers. A few upgrade sprues for regular Guard would be a big improvement. I know theres the kill team traitor guard box but thats not generic guardsmen, its a team of different models. Ah well. Maybe some day Ill go retarded and buy into Guard to heretic up the models.

What do you guys think the next faction is going to be? Exodites, traitor guard, dark mech, freebootaz? Any of those could be cool, hypothetically. There was that guy that said CSM might get Perturabo/Iron Warriors next, but who knows.

I feel like they need to tidy up the current armies before they release any new factions. Votaan desperately need more options, same with Dark Eldar, GSC, T.Sons, World Eaters and Emps Children.

Badrukk + piratey bits or another freebota character and unit is very likely judging from the snakebite styled releases represented by snaggas. I wouldnt mind some sculpts that are homages to the barbarian skar boy goffs, or if the multi part boyz kit that's on its way did so.

Exodites is a when not an if, at the rate they release kits these days potentially 2-4 years from now. Elf corsairs are gonna be very soon.

Traitor Guard//Lost and the Damned//Eye of Terror style army I want desperately, and it wouldn't even be difficult to pull off. Just make it like Shadow Legion in Daemons or Brood Brothers in GSC. where you can take any number of CSM units, and up to 1k of guard vehicles or specific infantry entries. Let them retain voice of command or have a special variant table. Throw in some mutant ogryns, un-legends the autogun cultists, and provide the option to soup poxwalkers, jackhals, and tzangors,

Dark mech is coming to 40k, I assume it's the stand alone Iron Warriors book from the TGA leak. I would say that creates space for more things like the above in the generic CSM book, but they are'nt really taking anything with them on the way out. It's not like the other legions in the generic book get special characters, I dont even count Fabulous Will or Huron as they have their own clubs.

They like leaving holes so they can fill them later, completing an entire range refresh is at odds with that. Not that I'm arguing that they shouldnt, I fully agree that Deldar, GK, and Votann need some help. Votann needs more heavy vehicles, and a dreadnought equiv. When the SC game comes out it would be cool if the scale of the terran vehicles matches up well to 40k.

I depends on what I'm headcanoning. I like using the lost primachs for this reason. If I'm doing a successor, it'll be because I want something from them. Which is usually aesthetics.

Northstar cultist models are fun. I'm told they pair well with scavengers for guns, but not tried that yet. WGA has a traitor army range called The Damned that have been "coming soon" for years.

Artel W has the Crimson Legion range, they're good sculpts but pricey and the style is a little off for 40k. Been considering getting 3x of their bullgryn kit. Kicking myself over not picking up the fomo Ork they had for october, they've got some good ones. The Saruman dark commune and Fellowship Ratlings are great.

Still trying to prestige all classes at least once in SM2, but I guess I'll just stick to sniper and tactical, since I suck at melee.
Before I sold my seXbox, the only one I struggled with was Sniper and Heavy.

I excelled with Assault and Bulwark (hammer only, fuck that useless shield and lack of a proper swordsman class), I even grinded for the special hammer skin from the research system.

Because as incompetent as those devs are, it is funny that the remaining players are all exceptional individuals and chapter choice usually determines the kind of guy you’re playing with.

That shit takes so much time. When I got back into the game recently I had somewhere around 150 hours played from release up until they brought out lethal difficulty. By the time I was done maxing out every class to prestige IV I had put an extra 100 hours in on top of that, and I was doing practically nothing but operations the entire time with a couple of diversions into PvP that I could probably count on one hand and some messing around in the campaign when the servers were down for maintenance. Granted I wasn't doing the most efficient levelling method, but repeatedly doing waves 1-through-5 in Siege mode is the most brain-numbing shit imaginable so I wasn't gonna do that.

I wouldn't even mind the big time investment if you didn't have to reset your progress four times just to max out one class. Apparently when Saber floated the idea of prestige being like the old CoDs where you reset your level progress people were shouting at them on their own forums about how terrible of an idea that is in a game like SM2. A lot of the classes in this game feel like absolute shit to play until you get certain core perks that really make them come online, particularly Vanguard and Assault. Saber, in true modern gamedev fashion, did the literal opposite of what their fanbase wanted them to do and went ahead with the idea anyway. I honestly believe people would have reacted better if prestige took twice as long to max out but you didn't have to reset your level four times to do it.
