This touches on an issue I always had with how humans need to be pre/mid puberty before being made a marine. But because the writers want them to have a history they somehow achieve before the age of 14 things people wouldn't achieve before 30.I think what was special is that a pivotal battle occurred on his home. The HH isn't history to him, it's a deep memory.
No need for a mic even on the hardest difficulty. I just spec the banner for DoT & revive and go for the skills that increase damage to shocked enemies and that make you drop a shock field with a perfect parry and when your armour is depleted. Forget about the banner and only use it for the instant revive or when you're getting clapped.I think my problem with Bulkwark (I'm still going for the first prestige, since I'm on lv19) is that I got a pretty poor situational awareness, and no mic, so I can't keep track of the other players in an efficient way, which isn't good for the healer class. Sure, if there is an enemy wave in a tight space, like most of Fall of Atreus I can just drop the banner, but in an open area where the players are all moving without any coordination? Can't do that.
Kinda but at the same time not really. The horus heresy itself was less than a decade, but after the Word Bearers failed to actually take out the Ultramarines they ran away leaving that ruinstorm thing that managed to cut off the entire realm of Ultramar from the rest of the imperium, to the point where Guilliman had set up Imperium Secundus in about a year after Calth, and then abolished it a couple of years later but the siege of terra itself was still a couple of years after that.Like Charon was at Calth at age 5? Survived it (something like a full decade of war), become Primaris under Cawl and got frozen in that tiny span of time. Just ridiculous.
Thanks for the tip, gonna try that this weekend (I am doing job interviews, so I don't have much free time)I just spec the banner for DoT & revive and go for the skills that increase damage to shocked enemies and that make you drop a shock field with a perfect parry and when your armour is depleted. Forget about the banner and only use it for the instant revive or when you're getting clapped.
I just had a sinus infection from a cold very recently too. Call your doctor for some anti-biotics. Should clear up in like a day.i have a sinus infection. my suffering is unimaginable. please Nurgle, ill giveyou my soul to end the pain...
I guess the question is how exactly were the Primaris started. Did Cawl burrow marines with no one objecting? Did he somehow get the material to create his own legion unsupervised? Did he jump straight to Primaris within few years and didn't tell anyone about this? All of those create massive plot holes.Kinda but at the same time not really. The horus heresy itself was less than a decade, but after the Word Bearers failed to actually take out the Ultramarines they ran away leaving that ruinstorm thing that managed to cut off the entire realm of Ultramar from the rest of the imperium, to the point where Guilliman had set up Imperium Secundus in about a year after Calth, and then abolished it a couple of years later but the siege of terra itself was still a couple of years after that.
That was one of the reasons Guilliman was able to get back to Terra after everything was done with a basically intact legion, is he didn't have anything going on and was able to just re-build his shit for years in the corner, to go chase off traitors for the scouring.
So yeah, after surviving Calth anyone would have had an easy 4 years or more to sit in Ultramar and seethe about it before anything really happened, and even then it was basically all over finally with most of the traitors fucking off into the eye and Xenos not getting uppity yet. It's pretty reasonable for a kid on Calth to have survived basically the ultramarines 9/11, be angry about it 4-5 years later after being fed propaganda the entire time, and then go volunteer or get scooped up to get turned into a frozen primaris(and be fed even more hypno propaganda).
Not really? If we assume he started taking part of the tithes that would have become aspirants to legions, or even massive parts of populations of scattered worlds either during reconstruction or purging of heretics, he could have easily had the influence at the time to put hundreds of thousands of people on ice immediately. After that he'd have had the next few thousands years to spend screwing around with them as Guilliman asked him to. Plus, we don't even need to assume that the heresy era primaris were even children to start with because initially there were plenty of grown adults that became space marines either partially or completely. Kor Phaeron(not a full astartes and probably used warp fuckery) and Erebus, Luther(he definitely didn't become a "real" astartes, but still got a pile of enhancements and power armor), Qin Xa and Yesugei were definitely on the later end of their teens and had no issue being turned into space marines by the time the emperor showed up on chogoris, etc.I guess the question is how exactly were the Primaris started. Did Cawl burrow marines with no one objecting? Did he somehow get the material to create his own legion unsupervised? Did he jump straight to Primaris within few years and didn't tell anyone about this? All of those create massive plot holes.
And like I said, that's just trying to follow what's going on with Cawl and Guilliman. They can go back and fill in details in that 10,000 year gap about whatever Cawl was doing with the primaris whenever they want, however why and what Cawl has been doing fucking around with the Sangprimus Portum should be a bigger question anyway, since that shouldn't have been needed(and him continuing to keep it) just to create the primaris shit in the first place, and why Fabius noticed that Alpha Primus smelled like multiple primarchs.Fall of Cadia 2023

I'm positive we'll see this addressed in the Scouring series at some point. Dunno how well they'll do it, but all the pieces are there.I guess the question is how exactly were the Primaris started. Did Cawl burrow marines with no one objecting? Did he somehow get the material to create his own legion unsupervised? Agreed, and it's kind of funny because the original Horus Rising trilogy is a little rushed and probably could have done a better job of fleshing out Horus before he becomes evil.Holy mother of Terra, no one can compete with this level of padding
The small gremlin that lives inside the camera lens goes out of his way to pervert the beauty of a miniature whenever a photo of one is taken, this is because he is a being of spite, envy, and jealousy. Even the people who worked at GW knew this as they talk about it in interviews about the battle reports they used to make. Some models look great in person but bad on screen.
Don't know the game besides hearing people talk of it, not right of me to speak on it2. K47 is the game 40k would have been if GW had let Rick Priestley innovate 40k. Though others say it would've been more like Gates of Antares, which flopped.
They did a run of rogue trader and other old rulebooks in recent years. I've not seen or heard anything about middlehammer releases but I would be very much on board with it. I know there's an active effort to make a 4th edition battle bible on /tg/.3. One YouTuber (I think it Mordian Glory) kept talking about "40k remastered" which would be a GW update to 40k 4th or 5th. Of course, google brings up nothing but the remastered DoW and SM games. Is this idea is based on anything or is just wishful thinking?
Lore never matched well with actual gameplay. If these kids had to play with 1 wound marines they'd be crying their eyes out. Kill Team sells the kind of fantasy that people want from lore wank and media pretty well imo but the actual wargame has always struggled with that. If anything I always thought it was kind of funny that being a giant hunk of meat, having advanced technology that puts you leagues above the enemy with a warcrime firearm translated to the gameplay as "Maybe you dont immediately die when he accidentally steps on a small shard of glass" - all that narritve masturbation and the result is a reasonable chance of not turning into gibblets4. 10th is a bad 40k game, meaning that units don't feel like what they're supposed to. That model rules don't match their lore abilities or how they should play. eg. Orks work best when hiding for most of the game. I'd heard a lot of complaints about the boardgame-ness of 8th-10th but is it really that bad?
Read Twice Dead King, they have "coreflux" which is closer to blood than TS dust.their units don't bleed, not even magic fluids like the Rubrics do.
I have nothing to add because Im just not familiar with K47, unfortunately. Id just like to say the people that paint models for instagram that then use photoshop to make them way better are faggots and niggers. Some models look great in person but bad on screen
I liked Captain Rhodaan, he’s an unusual Iron Warrior protagonist (a raptor of all things) and if the Trident gets reformed when the IW get the cult legion treatment, Honsou, Barban Falk (if only for a Daemon Prince in Terminator armor) and Rhodaan should be the members.A sequel to Harrowmaster, a very average Alpha Legion novel, is coming out soon. I'll read it because AL shenanigans can be fun when done well, but don't tell me ANY amount of sci-fi surgery can make this motherfucker look like Alpharius lmao

On a more positive note I recently finished Siege of Castellax by CL Werner. I only really knew him for his old Skaven books (excellent too) but this novel was fucking banging. True old school grimdark bolter porn. The Iron Warriors characters are such scheming, dysfunctional pieces of shit it's actually impressive and the Orks are great villains(?).
Nah, that's the Iron Hands. The Ravens are the weakest and lamest First Founding chapter
