It'd be really funny if the warhammer show ended up just being AoS so they could try and be like "see we have LoTR too!".

I'm just surprised they haven't moved their English language printing in house. That seems to be their biggest source of leaks. The new factory in the UK is due to start running this year. They bought more machines and re-arranged existing factory space.
Kickstarter releases are 90% pump and dump schemes. Since idiots will always fall back on "its just a small company in over their head" when they fail to do their fiduciary duty. Its a zero risk proposition for the TC guys, since they can use that money and interest to get giant business loans and pivot to a much better more profitable style of company. Why spend time fucking with 3d printing when you have the money to do injection molded plastic? Now everyone can see the quality of minis that you put out and not rely on the public to make your ideas look good.TC became modern GW without the former glory part in less than 2 years, they aren't taking over shit
GW is nothing compared to Amazon, so if Amazon wants to play hard ball there isn't much they can do about it.Is it me, or PR speak for Warhammer show doesn't sound all that positive or promising?
Because as mentioned in their previous reports, they can't say anything about it until Amazon is ready to. No "we're filming" no "we're editing" etc. and breaching their contracts would be retarded especially with a company like Amazon. Is it me, or PR speak for Warhammer show doesn't sound all that positive or promising? Yeah, we're doing something, it's outside our control, we have no idea when it will be done. Secret level was a foot in the door, now we're talking again, still no solid decision. Also, we made Aos episode (actually new info, also who fucking cares about AoS)
I can see why not. They're already integrated for injection molded plastic and paint. But all of their paper products are still done in China and some other places(last year they cut a localization publishing partnership with a company in Ukraine without specifying why, leading people to throw tantrums because "omg, the poor ukrainians, russia is so mean without realizing it's possible they were a source of leaks). Packaging, books, instruction manuals, cards,. punch tokens, etc. It's multiple additional supply chains required for the paper materials and then printing. Additional waste disposal concerns. The machinery to make paperback books probably isn't the same as what's used for making manuals, or cards, or anything else so that's multiple production lines to setup. All while being so unable to meet their own demands they've been building a new factory while still increasing capacity in their existing factory and 1/3 of the web store seems to still be sold out at any given time.I'm just surprised they haven't moved their English language printing in house. That seems to be their biggest source of leaks.
I’m not too thrilled with Trayzn. Feels like it’s going to be big chungus Reddit tier, but Infinite and Divine was such a good read I’m hopeful especially with how well done everything has been so far.And we've still got two DLCs to go. I'm interested to see what they do with Trazyn in the third one.
Depending on their print load, its about 4 or 5 machines that would fit in an area smaller than 50x50ft. Most modern print shop level devices can print, cut, fold, punch at around 100 pages a minute.Packaging, books, instruction manuals, cards,. punch tokens, etc. It's multiple additional supply chains required for the paper materials and then printing.
Its all paper that goes to a recycler.Additional waste disposal concerns.
It is. I worked on the machines for about a decade. The machinery to make paperback books probably isn't the same as what's used for making manuals, or cards, or anything else so that's multiple production lines to setup.
How much of the demand is in printing paper products vs mini molding though? They could have 10k boxes of sprues sitting on a shelf waiting for boxes and manuals that are the real holdup. This year alone you had the entire Krieg model line sold out for 6 months so they could print 10x the start collecting boxes. All while being so unable to meet their own demands they've been building a new factory while still increasing capacity in their existing factory and 1/3 of the web store seems to still be sold out at any given time.
That part is correct, there's probably 100 different print shops capable of whatever volume of work in most cities alone.Switching vendors for the paper products is also probably relatively easy and low risk compared to if they had outsourced mini production to china
The demand for the paper products is inelastic for more than half, you have to have a manual and box per unit sold. The books and manuals are beside the point. Their stop gap solution is the online only style generic boxes for lesser sold units.Do you focus on increasing production capacity for the products your business sells as it's core business? Or do you ramp up as a paper product factory to make packaging and books that are of moderate importance or secondary products entirely?
Gonna sound dumb as shit, but get an old hand crank meat grinder from an antique or thrift shop and run your sprues through it lmaoHmmm, all of my battlefields are urban based, and I've always wanted some things that look like fallen bricks amidst the rubble without cutting really tiny bits of sprue frames to do it....
It's still an increase in supply chain. They might actually do the simpler stuff like instructions in-house or locally because yes that wouldn't be much.Depending on their print load, its about 4 or 5 machines that would fit in an area smaller than 50x50ft. Most modern print shop level devices can print, cut, fold, punch at around 100 pages a minute.
Glues, ink, and any containers involving them generate an additional bulk waste disposal problem. Its all paper that goes to a recycler.
It's the molding, and we know this because even products that are web store only but not resin that ship in their generic white boxes end up out of stock while still being in demand. There has been hiccups in shipping that have caused delays and they usually shaft Australia/New Zealand with them when they happen. They also constantly choke their injection molding runs with releases of product. 11th edition launch boxes and starters are going to be occupying machine time soon, while they've currently got upcoming releases on them, while restocking existing product, and cranking out shit for boxed sets. Could it be manuals? Maybe, but I doubt it. If they were outsourced to china, having inventory sitting around occupying space when that's a job that could be sent to a local print shop to ensure product goes out the door would be idiotic.
And like I just mentioned above, we can see those products go out of stock for weeks/months at a time while other products that would ship in the same generic packaging do not. If it actually were the paper products as the hold up instead of the injection molding, then it would make sense to invest in doing the printing in-house. But we know that they've been talking about increasing injection molding manufacturing capacity for years now in their financial reports as well as publicly in local papers(not much else going on in Nottingham I guess for GW to be in the news when they send anything to a government planning office) so it doesn't take much to realize that's the likely issue. The demand for the paper products is inelastic for more than half, you have to have a manual and box per unit sold. The books and manuals are beside the point. Their stop gap solution is the online only style generic boxes for lesser sold units.
Yes, that's dumb as shit.Gonna sound dumb as shit, but get an old hand crank meat grinder from an antique or thrift shop and run your sprues through it lmao
You can also use a coffee grinder to make even smaller bits. You want multiple sizes for texture. I know people that just grab the sand and dirt out of the road gutter because of the fact its multitextural.Gonna sound dumb as shit, but get an old hand crank meat grinder from an antique or thrift shop and run your sprues through it lmao
The only logistic and infrastructure issues GW have ever complained about is power. They've had to wait on the power company to have extra capacity to run more machines. It's still an increase in supply chain. They might actually do the simpler stuff like instructions in-house or locally because yes that wouldn't be much.
Lol.Glues, ink, and any containers involving them generate an additional bulk waste disposal problem.
Logistics isn't ever just one thing, its a process. It's the molding, and we know this because even products that are web store only but not resin that ship in their generic white boxes end up out of stock while still being in demand.
Shipping issues aren't manufacturing issues. There has been hiccups in shipping that have caused delays and they usually shaft Australia/New Zealand with them when they happen.
None of that matters. And like I just mentioned above, we can see those products go out of stock for weeks/months at a time while other products that would ship in the same generic packaging do not.
GW is one of the biggest UK companies at this point in time. Anything they do is news. Looking back at the report, they are probably moving all the packaging and assembly to another warehouse so they can fit in more injection molding machines. But we know that they've been talking about increasing injection molding manufacturing capacity for years now in their financial reports as well as publicly in local papers(not much else going on in Nottingham I guess for GW to be in the news when they send anything to a government planning office) so it doesn't take much to realize that's the likely issue.
You laugh, but when you've got something like factories bordering a waterway(which is what GW is) extra scrutiny comes for that sort of stuff from environmental regulators. It's been brought up by GW in the past, and is part of the reason they want to minimize their cast resin usage.Lol.
This guy understands what I'm talking about. You don't get to be one of the largest UK companies and just completely avoid regulators and inspectors. Especially when like I said, you've got 2 waterways adjacent and running through your industrial manufacturing properties.Regarding printing in house, you're also dealing with UK environmental laws. Whereas some company in Eastern Europe can use whatever cheaper chemicals they want. I remember reading years ago that one of the reasons FW resin was so expensive was because of what resins they were allowed to use, compared to the forbidden yellow recast resin that made your coughs taste lime blood lmfao
Speaking as someone who's worked maintenance in industrial settings before, there may even be issues with stuff like having to modify their waste water systems to collect any spilled inks and dyes in traps and other expensive shit. This is an industrial scale, not the giant 12 foot office printers that some colleges use for banners
There are laws and codes involved that are both asinine and expensive, especially in the uk
I didn't say logistics was one thing. It's a huge set of processes involving their own warehousing and distribution of completed products. Their supply chain for materials. Their third party vendors, and so on.Logistics isn't ever just one thing, its a process.
That's not what I said. Try reading it again. When you've got limited available completed inventory that can be moved... Australia and New Zealand get fucked with weeks or months long delays. You don't delay the global product launch if you don't have to, you launch what you can and in this case, shit on a smaller market in the process. They've done this many times in recent years(might have something to do with why their ANZ sales are down in addition to the ridiculous retail pricing in those two countries. It's no secret there's clubs there that have done bulk shipments for multiple buyers on occasion from the UK because they can get better deals that way).Shipping issues aren't manufacturing issues.
When your justification for anything was regarding not having the printed packaging, it does. If it didn't, then why would product be out of stock for months that uses the same generic packaging as other product? Clearly it's not due to a lack of packaging.None of that matters.
That's not what they're doing at all if you actually read the report. They specifically pointed out they re-arranged existing manufacturing space to add seven more injection molding machines in Factory 2, and the new factory space isn't done yet. They also re-arranged their paint factory(it's across the street to the north in their old "eurohub" building.GW is one of the biggest UK companies at this point in time. Anything they do is news. Looking back at the report, they are probably moving all the packaging and assembly to another warehouse so they can fit in more injection molding machines.
It's in plain English in their own report and one of the pages I attached, specifically page 10 with the heading "Manufacturing". There's no need to speculate about this like some clickbait youtube channel. We have continued to increase our manufacturing capacity; the construction of our fourth factory in Nottingham is ontrack for completion in the summer of 2026.
Alongside this, we have redesigned the layout of our existing Factory 2 to allow more injection moulding machines to beinstalled. We now have 62 injection moulding machines, up seven in the period reported. We have completedrenovations on our new Easter Park (Nottingham) paint factory with new office space built and manufacturinginfrastructure installed.
You mean the exact kind of shitty infrastructure that caused them to shutdown WHW and increase delays of getting product out the door even further for a bit back in 2021 due to an underground sewage pipe bursting? Also worth pointing out that Nottingham is a historical town, you cant just level shit without a mountain of red tape being handled first. There's also likely limits on minimum and maximum for sewage/water because the infrastructure isnt exactly cutting edge
Offset printers are smaller than commercial lasers.Speaking as someone who's worked maintenance in industrial settings before, there may even be issues with stuff like having to modify their waste water systems to collect any spilled inks and dyes in traps and other expensive shit. This is an industrial scale, not the giant 12 foot office printers that some colleges use for banners
Thats without a doubt. Here's a fun one in America, someone I know works at a place with large retention ponds and they constantly get shit from the EPA because the rain water pushes it below their pH level allowances, even when they have all the data available that says its the rain. There are laws and codes involved that are both asinine and expensive, especially in the uk
No one is dumping buckets of ink anywhere, the only environmental compliance printing deals with is regular trash. Go read some SDSs.You laugh, but when you've got something like factories bordering a waterway(which is what GW is) extra scrutiny comes for that sort of stuff from environmental regulators.
Good luck finding industrial properties in England that aren't next to water ways. This guy understands what I'm talking about. You don't get to be one of the largest UK companies and just completely avoid regulators and inspectors. Especially when like I said, you've got 2 waterways adjacent and running through your industrial manufacturing properties.
No you say one thing then walk it back when you get proven wrong, you do this constantly because you are an egotistical retard.I didn't say logistics was one thing. It's a huge set of processes involving their own warehousing and distribution of completed products. Their supply chain for materials. Their third party vendors, and so on.
Supply in Australia is always going to be limited by whatever they ship by boat. So they run out and don't get anything till the next boat arrives. It has nothing to do with manufacturing bottle necks. Again you talk out of your ass. That's not what I said. Try reading it again. When you've got limited available completed inventory that can be moved... Australia and New Zealand get fucked with weeks or months long delays.
Just because they have the sprues on a shelf doesnt mean they sell them. Packaging is more than having a box to put it in.When your justification for anything was regarding not having the printed packaging, it does. If it didn't, then why would product be out of stock for months that uses the same generic packaging as other product? Clearly it's not due to a lack of packaging
How do you make space for more machines without removing something? They are going to pack as many machines as they can afford into the space they have because thatss how they make money. That's not what they're doing at all if you actually read the report. They specifically pointed out they re-arranged existing manufacturing space to add seven more injection molding machines in Factory 2, and the new factory space isn't done yet. They also re-arranged their paint factory(it's across the street to the north in their old "eurohub" building.
You speculate endlessly then try to act like basic English is rocket science since you don't understand what is being said. It's in plain English in their own report and one of the pages I attached, specifically page 10 with the heading "Manufacturing". There's no need to speculate about this like some clickbait youtube channel.
Because you are constantly wrong, get told you are wrong, where you pivot the argument to something else or pretend you knew it the whole time. Its really obvious to anyone with a brain. How are you going to sit there and tell me I'm wrong about shit, or just speculate on things when the financial report pages with the relevant information were screenshotted and posted in addition to being linked to since it's on a public website?
I didn't say anything about dumping buckets of ink? You also ignored the glue, which would be necessary for book binding. No one is dumping buckets of ink anywhere, the only environmental compliance printing deals with is regular trash. Go read some SDSs.
I never said GW's circumstance of being near waterways was uncommon.Good luck finding industrial properties in England that aren't next to water ways.
I didn't walk anything back. You're an illiterate moron who couldn't even read the fucking document I linked to or the screenshots yourself. No you say one thing then walk it back when you get proven wrong, you do this constantly because you are an egotistical retard.
So they just want to waste warehouse space with inventory sitting around for no reason? Something they mentioned actually improving on if you actually read the fucking report?Just because they have the sprues on a shelf doesnt mean they sell them. Packaging is more than having a box to put it in.
In line with our aim to sell what we make, our merchandising (forecasting) team has managed stock tightly in the periodand this has reduced our excess stock and reduced our stock write-offs.
Buy smaller machines, relocate and update infrastructure inside the building as needed, tear down walls for unnecessary office space to rebuild elsewhere allowing for more machines to go in place instead? Just because something was setup with what was likely the most efficient layout years ago, doesn't mean it's still the most efficient layout later. Try reading the fucking report? How do you make space for more machines without removing something? They are going to pack as many machines as they can afford into the space they have because thatss how they make money.
Speculate? I quoted their half year financial report you retard. What fucking speculation are you talking about? You speculate endlessly then try to act like basic English is rocket science since you don't understand what is being said.
Alongside this, we have redesigned the layout of our existing Factory 2 to allow more injection moulding machines to be installed. We now have 62 injection moulding machines, up seven in the period reported.
I didn't pivot anything. I even gave examples of issues they've had in the area that can cause a multitude of problems. You on the other hand can't fucking read the report that was written in plain English. Read it your damned selfBecause you are constantly wrong, get told you are wrong, where you pivot the argument to something else or pretend you knew it the whole time. Its really obvious to anyone with a brain.
The link is right there. Now you want to tell the other guy some shit about fucking laser printers that they clearly aren't using for anything other than maybe FW resin model instructions due to the incredibly low volume? I was referring to cardboard tokens, game cards, magazines, hardcover books, paperback books and you mentioned fucking staples? Have you not even seen a codex, or one of their novels in hardcover or paperback? You do realize that those boxes are cut with dies in machines, right? The hardcover books clearly marked on the back as being printed in China aren't being finished with the built in stapler in the finisher of an office printer. Just because you worked at a FedEx Office or something doesn't mean you know a damned thing about any of this, but at a bare fucking minimum you could at least read the statements from GW themselves instead of claiming that I'm the one pivoting or changing the topic.https://investor.games-workshop.com/annual-reports-and-half-year-results The half year results are out.
Hey look you invented an environmental hazard that doesnt exist so you can argue about a process that contains less liquid than a hardware store. You are a retard with nothing worthwhile to say.I didn't say anything about dumping buckets of ink? You also ignored the glue, which would be necessary for book binding.
Here you are again just wanting to argue and talking out of your ass.
How can you improve something you aren't doing? Again you talk out your ass.So they just want to waste warehouse space with inventory sitting around for no reason? Something they mentioned actually improving on if you actually read the fucking report?
You can't just throw empty shipping containers for glues and inks in the trash at an industrial scale. What the hell is wrong with you?Hey look you invented an environmental hazard that doesnt exist so you can argue about a process that contains less liquid than a hardware store. You are a retard with nothing worthwhile to say.
Again, It was quotes directly from GW that you can find in the report yourself. How can you improve something you aren't doing? Again you talk out your ass.
I just included a recent interview about DoW 4 in my post. I rarely post about TC in this thread, and a couple of times have pointed people to the tabletop community watch thread. I've posted models, discussed painting, discussed playing and events, discussed books, and somehow I'm a Trench Crusade cuck for consistently shitting on the game and company? Are you really this fucking stupid? Fuck off so the rest of us can discuss 40k shit without your non participant bullshit interrupting things because you want to argue against posted quotes and proof of shit. You have nothing worthwhile to add because you are a lonely retard who has no friends and posts incessantly about hobby shit you clearly don't actually play. You are a trench crusade cuck who keeps posting about it here because no one cares about it but you. I'd tell you to go post on reddit but that seems cruel to redditors.
Yes you can, everyone does it. Any container with hazardous waste gets sorted to its own containment area and gets picked up specially. You clearly have zero experience with any of this on any level but continue to talk out of your ass.You can't just throw empty shipping containers for glues and inks in the trash at an industrial scale. What the hell is wrong with you?
You quote GW agreeing with me then pretend its supporting your point. You are an illiterate retard. You said it wasn't happening remember? Of course you don't because you are butthurt and melting down like always.Again, It was quotes directly from GW that you can find in the report yourself.
"When I shit up the thread its different"Fuck off so the rest of us can discuss 40k shit without your non participant bullshit interrupting things because you want to argue against posted quotes and proof of shit.
In all your bloviating retardedness I built a Techpriest. What have you done
Built most of a Necron overlord because I only need it for the torso up, an updated Imotekh, a hexmark destroyer, and washed 2 sets of lokhust heavy destroyers and an additional overlord I'm waiting to dry out because the LHD bodies and overlord torsos are going to be used for lokhust lords. You didn't even post a picture trying to brag about what you've supposedly done. Shut the fuck up already.I'm going to get back to assembling some re-casts.
No one is here to impress you, your majesty. This isn't your thread. You are just an annoying retard on the internet, who is constantly wrong and mad about it. You shit up the thread while shitting on good ideas, using an old second hand grinder on sprues is a perfect way to make rubble for bases and terrain but that doesn't impress king tourist for some reason.Built most of a Necron overlord because I only need it for the torso up, an updated Imotekh, a hexmark destroyer, and washed 2 sets of lokhust heavy destroyers and an additional overlord I'm waiting to dry out because the LHD bodies and overlord torsos are going to be used for lokhust lords.
