I could go the rest of my life without hearing about culture war shit and die a happy man. It makes being in otherwise enjoyable spaces absolutely intolerable. Total Culturewarfag Death.

It’s just about their coomer fetish of muscle mommies. I’ve never heard a decent argument for female insert that didn’t devolve into them wanting to jerk off to it. “Oh you don’t want women in your setting? That means you’re gay thinking about dudes!” Is just about every argument. No I don’t want women in my setting I want to larp as a giant muscular space racist because that’s what I identify as.

Bros not pleased with Arks of Omen have no idea how close they came to Vashtorr having tits and a ectoplasma stink ditch.

I can’t wait to see that red fat bastard turn a new shade on that stream tomorrow.

It’s going to be funny all around and this should be the default approach but do not get mad, laugh.

This is GW sculpting, if they are showing off “female” custards, they’re gonna look like Emps exclusively made them from Californians. “They”want you pissed off and seething, if you laugh and tweet at Aaron the (my prediction) Serena Williams one/headsculpt and make it known that Aaron is gooning to it, then it remains a joke, as women being warriors of any kind is. Laugh at the prostration, the limey’s natural state.

We should get a drinking game ready in case they are that fucking stupid.

Once again, I go back to the friggin Sisters of Silence. Fer fuck's sake, they even LOOK like Custodes when in full armor!

And if they want muscle mommies, Catachan women are already canon!

I'm still mad they made not one but two limited edition Catachan minis and have since axed both of the Catachan named characters from the 10th edition codex to make room for more Krieg crap.
Shit, I'm still upset that the myriad of other IG regiments never get....well, anything anymore. No Mordia. No Tallarn. No Praetorians. No Penal Troopers. Don't even get me started on never seeing Schaefer's Last Chancers ever again....

SoS are absolute badasses. I never really cared they were women nor demanded them include men for equality. They were always written so well and jokingly in the 40K series which had them complaining about being written off by higher ups and forced to languish as Watchers of the Throne was an amazing series with that. Femstodes inclusion just dilutes their benefits and cohesion to what they bring with as Talons of the Emperor especially when Custodes were just sons of Terran nobles. Unwanted daughters called to the Emperor’s side, it’s just a perfect balance and brings so much.

No Mordia. No Tallarn
Never was an IG player (only ever painted a box of the old metal Catachans) but man, i loved the look of 2nd ed. IG armies because of all the mixed regiments, even if the colours clashed. I remember when Forgeworld released Elysians, absolutely fantastic range of models, then Rough Riders of Tallarn on Mukaalis dropped and they just blew me away.

Still some of my most favourite models ever. I remember Nick Davis having some of the greatest looking IG armies (especially his Valhallans), sadly i can't find a picture of them right now nor can recall in which WDs he showed them off.

Look up r/primarchgf if you want to take a look at the people who call you a nazi for disliking femstodes.

Built my first mini yesterday, Night Lords gunner with plasma. First let me say, Jesus fucking Christ I didn't expect them it be that tiny, for some reason I expected them to be at least 50% bigger.

The hardest part by far were the two arms and weapon. All the other pieces fit together like a puzzle but the arms are just flat to flat.

I attached his right arm first, attached the gun hand to that, then fit the left in between the gun and torso. It wasn't clear what order to do all that in. Attaching the gun was really hard too because I couldn't figure out a way to hold it on there while brushing the cement so I tried to quickly brush the cement on both sides then squeeze it together. It held loosely, I ended up really melting the shit out of the right wrist to get it to stick but it looks ok. 17685534736701711273456219977115.jpg.webp

And that's with the modern scale creep. Generic loyalist primaris are still taller by comparison.

Yeah it can be a booger. The middlehammer era marine kits had left arm bits with open hands for bracing guns but now it's fist to wrist. Army Painter green stuff is great for fixing messes and filling gaps that might occur from getting the arms to sit how you like. Worth picking some up for a number of reasons.

If you ever pick up the new Daemon Prince watch out. The torso is like an egg that you need to push together without cracking the shell. Same kind of precarious assembly. Still a great kit otherwise.

Are you saying the old ones were even smaller? Madness.
That's what I was trying to show with the photo haha. The blue ones are the 3rd/4th era kit. Models have gotten progressively larger ever since the beginning of the game. That was half the issue with Primaris when they first hit the market at the start of 8th. They made Firstborn look like kid brothers and running them together as an army was horrifically uncanny. It was more than just that specific issue obviously but the scale creep of the modern era kicked off from then onward.

At the moment most kits have been brought to the new standard, though some factions are more behind than others which is why the range refreshes we've been getting are such a big deal. As chaos players we've got a good chunk of our classic options updated. Things are rather nice, I'm looking forward to whatever the new defiler and non monopose obliterators looks like.

Krieg are a good "entry" army for new Imperial Guard players. Not having to paint faces and hands makes building large infantry formations easier, like with space marines and being able to give everyone helmets. Catachans should have a refresh, but I would hope they would look more like Vietnam War era American special forces with 40k weapons and not beefcake gymbros that look like fist of the North Star villians. Personally I think Cadians should have sidelined. Their home planet is destroyed. They're over represented on tabletop.

One of the reason I see so many 3rd party Catchan female models being bought, well those and also the SoB.
Not my taste personally, but I fully understand and glad at least the outside providers are there for this. Also why I'm glad that there's a provider doing third party Imperial Guard regiments that got neglected. Hell, they even remember the Chem Dogs and Imperial Beastmen.

I will say, a few times 3rd party models do walk circles around GW, I recall one company that sells some very good Necron (including Necron girl bots) and Tau models with the later havin a more samurai vibe to em
