There have been male Banshees in the fluff for a good while - there's even a male Exarch in Valedor. The update's big change was providing faces at all so that you could make official Ynnari Banshees, still fairly fresh at the time - one of those faces was indeed male. Nothing too offensive; the worst part about the upgrade was Blood of the Phoenix being the worst-value box in Warhammer's history.
The actual culture war incident regarding male Banshees was more recent and in the Black Library rather than the Codex or models - Mike Brooks wrote that all males in female Aspects (and vice versa) troon out any psychically remould themselves into the opposite sex. If it wasn't a dedicated culture warrior writing it, the more charitable explanation of trying to make the aliens a bit weirder and more alien might almost work.
I don't know. I still think worst value box goes to the 9th edition black templar army box, I still see that thing collecting dust on store shelves(as recently as a couple of weeks ago. having an outdated codex in the box doesn't help at this point, but holy shit it was bad).

As for the rest, that's because Mike Brooks is a fucking retard.

Knights Templar with Arthurian myth
That's a part of it. Knightly martial valor and bravery. Brotherhood and secret keeping. Hebrew//Christian bible names. Gustavus Adolphus and Homolust.
Their weapon of choice is plasma. Hot sticky dangerous plasma. What unique curvature it has.

The HH Dark Angels make a big deal out of the Hexagrammaton. While this has general esoteric meanings, it was also adopted by Aleister Crowley to represent his own special secret magic order. Aleister Crowley did magic by mountain climbing and then fucking dudes in the ass. It was really important to him. Did you know Commander Farsight fans were gay? Commander Farsight can climb mountains too!

They all have a deep seated shame over internal betrayal within their organization and feel the need to constantly cover it up. The poem Dark Angel was written by a man named Lionel Johnson and it's about how he's ashamed of the fact he's gay and struggles with reconciling it with his faith.

The Lion's returning story arc was, after becoming an old man - finding his secret shameful brother's//sons and redeeming them so that they no longer needed to hide themselves away.

One of their iconic army quirks was the ability to spam a single type of unit. This could be described as being hyper anal. Quite literally homo list building

For all I know Gustavus was a flaming homo too. This is not an exhaustive list

For starters, engaging with the hobby beyond bitching about it would be a good start. This isnt necessarily directed at you, but the way I see it the vast majority of the 'gatekeepers' are also secondaries/no-models that proudly proclaim that they will never ever ever buy Games Workshop products ever. You write yourself off as noncustomers. What's the point in appealing to you? We get it, you dont like primaris marines, cool. Why dont you use Horus Heresy models then? Or the tactical squad you like some much? Maybe make a little effort to hobby?

Even if the redditard troons are never going to buy anything and only want to destroy the franchise and yada yada yada, at least they put up the facade of a potential customer by going "please GW I would give you a million bucks if you trooned out the red space soldier guy!" They are doing a better job at getting GWs attention because its not just endless bitching and whining about everything, and then when paint pots are outselling the entirety of a franchise its more endless bitching and whining when they try anything to spark the remotest interest back in it. It's nonstop, and then its a big-shock-wonder when they aim for a different customer base? What do you honestly expect?

I'm not saying buy all the slop unquestioningly, but when they release something cool you want, celebrate it and grab yourself one. flies with honey and all that. Be the more appealing customer. They are running a business after all.
if you want to be more direct, buy stocks or infiltrate the company or someshit, I dont fucking know

Sorry not buying gay shit. I'll take my money to chinese tiddy games that at least know how to make a female look female.

There is nothing more to do, spend your money on something better.

Poor Null. He found this way too late, the game was fun a good six years ago.

The fact that they put say... 6 xiphon in a bundle box when you can really only take 1-4 as a formation in a skyhunter phalanx or aerial assault detachment is a separate issue(but at least you could put 4 in on detachment, and then 2 in another).
Not to beat a dead horse, but this is big issue with army boxes.

I mentioned Epic Warpath, and their sprues are a bunch of core units together. You don't have to, and might not want, to field everything. From the reviews, the starter box is 1 sprue for each faction, repeated 6 times, and it's inf, elite, tanks/walkers, and fliers.

If you are buying a fast attack kit or whatever, then them being together makes sense.

If you're buying an army box, and (I'm going to make up numbers here) you get 1800pts in a box, but can only field 1600 of it unless you buy another kit if shady. And yes, this can be mitigated somewhat with kit stretching, like putting 3 or 4 guys on a base instead of 5. But a beginner shouldn't be expected to know that going in.

Any guesses when the battleforce and battllion boxes might be coming?
Complete speculation from someone who knows nothing. Their new announcements are a given. Red Corsairs are the big new reveal, right? Maybe a femstodes box.

If it hasn't happened yet. Night Lords to tie in with the books.

Long shot, but a Space Marine 2 beginner battle force might be a thing.

Not followed the 11th edition leaks. But if there's still an ork refresh coming, then that will be one as well.

Sure but you're still missing part of the problem. Lets say fine, you did want the army box, got the 1800 points worth, can use 1600 points in a list that's not the end of the world, still need 1400. You look at the force org chart, decide you want a bunch of terminators jumping out of a couple of thunderhawks, totally legal. Buy 2 thunderhawks, fine. To get more terminators, you need to buy multiple copies of this box
Which features a bunch of shit you may not have wanted.

Then let's say you want a bunch of leviathan dreadnoughts to be super heavy walkers going into combat in drop pods? Cool, buy some dreadnought drop pods
And now to get the leviathan dreadnoughts, now you buy 2 copies of this box
Just to end up with a bunch of shit you didn't want. Having spent $100 to not be interested in 75% of the shit you just bought. Most of the models for the game outside of aircraft and larger vehicles(and in this case a leviathan dread isn't a large enough vehicle) are sold this way,

And this isn't even the army boxes, which like I said aren't sold all the time for the game. It's mostly bundled in the stupid infantry/support/fast attack boxes for space marines, mechanicum, and guard. So the problem is you can easily end up spending $800 on an army for the epic scale game, and have piles and piles of shit leftover you never wanted to begin with. This is what I mean by GW could have designed the sprues smarter, made the SKUs cost half as much, but let people more accurately buy what they wanted rather that be stuck with dozens of copies of shit they had no interest in. It's a massive failing of legions imperialis, and that's before getting to the larger issue of it focusing on HH(especially since they already had the molds done for eldar, ork, and necron aircraft stuff from aeronautica imperialis, which is where most of the aircraft for LI came from anyway) leaving a lot of people uninterested by default.

For 40k and HH, at least the army boxes aren't the only way to get the models, and a beginner can usually combine them with a combat patrol or something and get some use out of them. The problem is for people that already have armies, when 1/4 of the "value" of the box is occupied by the big centerpiece model that they already have... it's useless. But at least someone considering starting the army could still get the box and make use of it.

Has to be relatively soon IF they are planning 11th to drop mid-year.
Anything from the reveal stream should be due out during the next 3 months, before or right up to the next reveal show in April at their Netherlands event.

I get the problem, I just think it's the other way around that's the issue.

In your 40k CP example. The issue for me isn't that a centerpiece prevents repeat buys. It would be like buying the SM CP and you can only field the units in multiples of 3. So you can't use a bunch of stuff in the box unless you do either cough up more cash or leave about 10-15% of the box just sitting there, doing nothing. Either design the beginner boxes better, or change the rules so that it's table legal.

The sprue issue has cucked a few models. Obliterators and Venomcrawler (i think) share a sprue, theres a rare Necron model from a similar issue.

They minmax to save pennies at the expense of dollars (no one wants to buy a model they dont want just to get one they do). GW cuck themselves even. Novitiates have the KT extras sharing a sprue so when reboxed, they essentially take the KT tokens out and thats it, free bits. And let me tell you, Sisters get the best bits.

Leaving 10-15% of the box sitting there is still a better percentage than the 50-75% of the box you leave sitting there for legions imperialis. Also easier to sell off the stuff for 40k that you're not interested in. An army that can fit in a small shoebox for an epic scale game should not have an MSRP at the same pricepoint of 40k or AoS. The fact that a beginner wouldn't even know the force org exists just makes it even worse.

The sprue issue has cucked a few models. Obliterators and Venomcrawler (i think) share a sprue, theres a rare Necron model from a similar issue.
Space marines have it with their characters from the 9th edition indomitus box, and necrons it's 2 characters, the reanimator and something else locked in on one expensive sprue. Still better than the bullshit for legions where it's 50% of the army sold that way with stuff you may not want.

I will say it again you are a weak faggot bitch and are unwelcome on this site, go cry in the corner Trump will be president for another 3 years. If it’s too much please kill yourself. You are worthless subhuman who’s death will improve the world. Do a flip faggot.
Plastic army men

Serious bizness.

New Artel W Daemonettes. The Chicken guitar is something else
That Salma one is pretty awesome and my younger self who secretly watched that movie behind the upstairs railing as my folks watched it kinda wants me to add it to my EC.

These models look great, I’ve purchased few from their store, a base with slaves, Telemachon and a Daemonhost. Assembly is usually a whore but despite coming off cartoony, a grimdark paintjob unifies them with GW models.

The chapter were literally defending their oaths they swore to the planet and then the custodes bitch just tells them that their hekkin prideful and that its space marine pride like that that caused the hekkin horus heresy. It is also, of little coincidence that the chapter are called the white templars (get it? because the hekkin chuds are neo nazi christian white nationalists!).

Had to see it for myself, ugh. Hard to identify with her as the protagonist.

You know, for every time the custardes do this in lore, it has like a thirty percent chance of activating the “Horus Reflex” of doing something really funny and based.

See, the Brazen Drakes, that Black Templar force who killed their Primaris reinforcements (and banana), that time some Marines Malevolent almost robbed a Custodes, getting mogged by the Minotaurs and they weren’t involved but their snobbery would’ve been at home in Huron’s crash out.
