I think they are close to understanding it, but they are wearing leftist goggles and so it comes out all fucking retarded.

The imperium would rather feed countless souls to the meat grinder than surrender another world to the enemy, because the imperium knows that the enemy will not stop and it can not be reasoned with. The imperium does not put the preservation of the individual above the needs of a galaxy wide many. The imperial ideology is horrible, but the alternative is torture, enslavement, and death.

Space marine glup shittos would be the *Storm Lords* or a lot of the least popular 2nd foundings that are often mentioned in the Heresy. For example, the horus heresy white scar books introduces basically the first chapter master as he led the "Brotherhood of the Storm" in the legion and during a major push during the Siege he had directly said "We will become lords of the storm today" and another example would be the Red Talons a 2nd founding iron hands successor where their origins were shown in the heresy being made up of the more unhinged outcasts of the IH Legion.

How many people have told you they like the fucking Storm Lords? Or Red Talons? Or Flesh Eaters (Yes FLESH EATERS they are fully loyalist and have primaris)

Give guard like 10 different battleline troops. Catachan, Cadian and Krieg are 3 but theres a lot of different designs out there.

Do it GW.

And make them good in one area. Offensive, defensive, siege, shooting, melee etc so that on tabletop they fulfill a slightly different role.

Actually fucking do it.

I guarantee you that guard players are also collectors who will max out on them and it will bring new people who only like 1 or 2 of the styles.

Better than another Ultrmarine Captain thats for sure.

The trailer is pretty interesting because in many other fiction, the governor would be the sacrificial hero being done in by the baddie for Doing the Right Thing, appearances and voices to match. In context, however, Yarrick is absolutely the hero removing a major threat to morale in the face of an existential alien threat, the twists of command reflected by the scenes of guardsmen in combat.

Somebody already shared the Denethor clip, which a great comparison to show how the governor is wrong in a way that even Sigmarxism can understand, but I was first reminded of the opening of Killzone 2 (great game!):
Now unlike Yarrick, Visari here is the villain, but the narrative point of Killzone 2 and its sequels is that the retaliatory invasion of the baddie planet Helghan was a mistake leading to atrocity.

I'm indifferent about no Steel Legion since I'm not a Guard guy and have already resigned long ago to GW's consolidation of regiments made into models, considering it a privilege that we even got plastic Krieg. I wonder if the new Armageddon campaign book will mention Steel Legion and feature Krieg models painted tan.

everyone says white is super difficult to paint so I’m probably gonna start necrons to get my brush wet though

The grey area here to me are Death Worlder/Penal Legion/Ganger adjacent regiments like Salvar Chem Dogs, Guants Ghosts, Last Chancers. They are way more prominent in BL books especially non catachan death worlder regiments. However, another issue is that so called 40k purists especially guardfags tend to forget these glup shitto regiments were made combining random historic miniatures with las guns. I understand being mad over lore erasure but so called anti GW purists seemingly wait years for official GW updates they will hate (I know a select few death korps giga chuds who hate the plastics) there is plenty of cheaper alternatives or 3d print options but I can go on and on.

I can give a run down of Space marine glup shittos too, as marines are harder but there are a few outliers I can highlight that fall into the realm of it.

The trick about painting white is not, actually. Instead you paint with an off-white like beige or eggshell and only use pure white for highlights. You will not get that super striking pure white color that way, but it beats having to paint a hundred layers of white to get a smooth finish.

Start with Necrons. I started Custodes for the same reason, cool faction but super beginner friendly. Get a combat patrol (maybe 2) and go from there.

Once you have got the basics down, White Scars will be a great army to do because you will understand the hobby and new bikes likely to be out.

It is and it isn't. But having some experience painting anything else will help. Dezazlop got it exactly, you don't paint dead white unless you absolutely have to, you do an off-white and then can still go brighter for highlights(cooler shades also work if you don't want to do something leaning to the warmer side like a beige). Much like black, very rarely is anything in the real world actually pure white(and even when it claims to be, it usually still isn't due to pigment, dirt, lighting, etc.).

Retard opens the video talking about how he has a fat head, had to go to a hospital to get his swollen head out of a football helmet, and how he had to sit out at a birthday party at a go-kart track because his head was too fat. "I wouldn't say I have buyer's remorse" it's a $270 plastic helmet and stand. Continues "bragging" about his hat size. Somehow a "pro" of the helmet is that it wasn't cheaper? It's not sturdy enough... well it's not a real helmet. Complains about it not having internal detail. Managed to scuff it just from taking it out of the box(but remember, it's good that it wasn't cheaper). "I wanted to make a video where it didn't fit my head and get stuck so I could ask someone to teach me how to 3d model a helmet" what the fuck?
