Speculation ive read was that the AoS leak was an attempt to catch a leaker. Which I want to believe because its otherwise monumentally stupid. AoS would need to be running at a huge loss to do that and even then, GW tried that before with Old World.

Perhaps they want to try and bring the realms closer? The universe in a physical sense is way more esoteric than Old World and 40k.

I choose not to believe in the great reset. Theyve just announced big DoK and Sylvaneth releases, doesnt fit with such a shakeup imo.

This is the only thing I can see it being. The realms were always one of the biggest complaints I've seen people have about the setting and I don't think I've ever seen anyone say they liked it, but even then there's better ways to do away with it than a soft reboot. Just have Nagash or some other powerful wizard perform a ritual to bring them together to make invasions easier.

Yeah,. the idea of doing anything to AoS to bring back the WHFB players makes no sense. The Old World exists for that, and trying to mash them back together would just piss off the existing AoS customers, while not doing enough to get the old grognards back who also seem to be ignoring The Old World.

Lore wise, that's one of the most retarded parts about AoS. Half of the factions never have a reason to "invade" anything, nor does it make sense that they could.

Gameplay wise, the double turn needs to fucking go. I don't care how many times they try and make it more of a strategic decision thing, it's the worst aspect of an I go, you go game system except doubled. "Oh, you're going twice in a row? wish I had known earlier so I could have watched an episode of something on my phone while I just lazily roll saves for 45 minutes"

They still haven't recovered from the flash sale of their stocks

On the American stock exchange it looks like it slowly recovered but they don't care about their American customers, they make the most money at home in Britain as far as I can tell, which is where they haven't recovered at all.

I think you guys read these charts too poorly since the economy in general has been in the dumps every company is doing bad.

It really seems to be the case, specially since as much as people like to pretend AOS is doing badly compared to 40K, you gotta remember that literally no other wargame pulls nearly as much money as 40K. On the other hand, as much as WHF came back as TOW, it also does not come close to what AOS pulls, being a specialist game.

The issue is AoS doesn’t have any lore or video game fans punching for it, it purely has table top fans and the harsh realities just table top is not enough

I know it's not 40k but AoS might be getting end timesed again

No way this is legitimate, like someone else was saying I could see this being put out to catch a leaker. Frankly Im sick of impatients leaking shit, it takes all the fun out of big announcement streams. Id be totally fine with GW naming and shaming the people that leak their stuff, then ritualistically flogging them.

There's also the fact that this dip is still significantly higher than the previous dip visible in that screenshot, which likely just means there was a spike caused by the Christmas season and things are returning to normal in January.

There's also a lack of any number pushing releases and most people holding out for 11th.

I doubt they will kill Age of Sigmar but I could see them rebranding it back to Warhammer Fantasy in the next edition to solidify their overall branding.

A day doesnt pass in this thread without the ocassional "Da commie woke troond take away muh toyz!! Muh chuds are mocked!! Muh kultur waaar!!!"

Technically AoS does have one game.

Basically this.

Also, the "dip" started across the 18th and 19th. Not the minor fluctuation in the 16th.

And GW being a UK traded stock is part of the FTSE 100 index. Yet strangely enough that fluctuation and dip also aligns with NASDAQ and the S&P 500 that have nothing to fucking do with GW stocks.

Just like how people on youtube with clickbait can't spend 2 fucking minutes to look any of this shit up before spouting nonsense, I guess people on twitter or whatever can't either, and then some people just parrot it again without looking to see that none of that was GW specific unless somehow female custodes affected the global economy.

So fucking retarded... it really doesn't take some genius financial experience to look this shit up.

also, to show how this is even more fucking retarded
newyear_incoming-jan01-promo-faay1xvgxr.jpg

The preview where female custodes were shown didn't happen until AFTER trading had already been long closed(4:30pm GMT) in the UK on a fucking Friday. No one was watching the preview stream and suddenly panic selling huge amounts of stocks unless it was minimal after hours trades, because the market wasn't even fucking open. Again, it's so easy to look this shit up.

edit again: and the company was doing so fucking poorly I guess that they declared a 1.10 pound dividend per share to be paid in May.

And also claiming that it was planned or whatever so the board could buy or panic sell is also stupid because that has to be done with public statements, and it was just the CEO buying 124 shares(so not much) with the dividend reinvestment plan

Also no books whatsoever aside from Gotrek and I think one stormcast book that’s notable for having a depiction of Nurgle in it.

They are making a DoW equivalent for AoS but it’s stuck in development hell.

I’m retarded realms of ruin actually came out and sucked.

Agree here, stock is a meaningless speculative metric. GW is a publicly traded company, femstodes wank started last year. They've had earnings meetings since then, there is no massive chud protest and their sales have not taken a dive. This AOS stuff seems like either a classic GW confusing decision or bait to catch leakers, and I'm leaning towards the latter since I don't see what GW has to gain from pissing off the fanbase of their 2nd best tabletop system sales-wise.

Technically AoS does have one game
If you're talking about Realms of Ruin then that game is honestly awful. Questionable gameplay all around (its main mechanic is rigid RPS unit advantages and all faction units feel the same) and a pretty forgetable story.
I'm pretty sure there are atleast more than 5 mobile games and I think a couple of them got a PC port, Underworlds maybe? Either way they just fumbled their big AoS RTS that I can't see them having a large vidya audience at all

I really hope the AOS leaks are fake, cause if they're not it means GW will eventually turn their full attention to Old World and completely fuck their best game system up and ruin it just like they did with 30k and 40k.

P.S. I'm a bitter old grognard. If you still like 40k just ignore my complaining.

I think 3.0 Heresy is actually fine even if the list building is confusing at first.
