Anyone see the Adepticon results? It brings me great joy to say that Tyranids performed very well. Perhaps the curse of Cruddace is finally gone.

I've just started an Admech army and I'm having really good fun with 8th edition, it's really been streamlined for competitive play.

Only thing I can't get over is just how powerful the primaris hellblasters are. I'm still learning my shit but I have to say I'm really enjoying it so far.

GW is sure throwing us codex's pretty quickly. Not sure whether I like that or not. After all, we only have so much money.

Ladies and gentlemen, the herald of Nurgle is here to spread his gifts to you.

Now my army has a named HQ

So uh, I've never actually taken my Marines Malevolent to the table. Just now thinking about it...what kind of Chapter Tactics do you think they'd emulate?

I'm leaning towards Imperial Fists (because they love blowing up civilian encampments from afar), White Scars (because they're opportunists) or Black Templars (because they're spiteful assholes).

So my next purchase will be fire support OR Deathshrouds. I'm leaning towards fire support because holy shit the death guard suck at delivering long range fire

(Plus I have a small cohort of blightlords as a bodyguard unit)

Warhammer Age of Sigmar is getting a new edition in June. Let's home they took the time to finish the book and not rush everything resulting in a broken game.

I've heard that Command Points are gonna be a thing in AOS now, which isn't a shocker because they half-heartedly did something similar in a recent Nagash-centric campaign book. Supposedly the new hardcover is going to be crammed with lore stuff, including tons of maps and geography, which is good because one of the weaknesses of the AOS setting is that it's hard to get a good feel for where all this fighting is taking place.

I hope they release more info on Titanicus. Titans are one of the cooler thing you can never really use in 40k for many reasons, so it will be cool have a game based around them. Looks like this maybe set in 30k which is a plus even though I'd like to have proper chaos Titans.

So what's the legit cost of entry nowadays. Not sperg tier one of each army but retail beginner tier army, books, and whatever else one would need.

Depends on the faction. At the very least, the rule book and the army codex will set you back around 80 to 100 dollars.

As far as the factions go, they're all pretty expensive, the Imperial Guard will set you back several hundred (at least) they have cheap troops, but you need hundreds of them. I'd buy the rulebook or research the factions to find the one you wanna play

Not so much want to play but I have some buddies who do and hang out time being limited and all I wouldn't be opposed to dropping a little money to play army men for a couple of hours a month.
