OK new HH Novel - Slaves to Darkness,

What the fuck is up with Fulgrim? I mean apart from the cover of his Primarchs book he's never been a particularly well drawn in comparison to what he is supposed to look like but he looks absolutely vile here.

I always thought Fulgrim should look more Hellraiser-y, in keeping with his throne of living velvet.

I think something like that would be better, on the Cover of Slaves He just looks odd nothing about him says slavish devotion to excess pleasure.

I think he's suffering from the GW problem of not wanting to deal with Slanesh / Sex in general while that's not the only thing that's going for she/he/it as its pleasure and excess in general so it could be gluttony, vanity, etc but it's the one that seems to be a lightning rod for opinions that could harm the franchise.

I don't care if they're good or not, I'm loading up on Deff Koptas because they're Orky as hell. That pilot is living the dream.

I'm annoyed as hell that we got yet another boring-ass Space Marine Chapter released ahead of the long-awaited Ork revival, but on the bright side there have been reveals of the new Ork vehicle models that will be released, with this one being the Dragsta:

and this being part of the Speed Freeks boxed set:

He's an deamon so has no fixed look
Post upgrade he's still appeared as human like when he wants, snakeish or full blown giant deamon snake monster.
It's like how angrons size differs when required.

Aside from that got the new space wolves codex today, bit disappointing as pretty much the only addition to their timeline post rape of fenris is a single wolf time tease.
Doesn't even mention if fenris got the inquisition purge it was promised and no mention of them running of to the eye in penance.

It's more a comment on the art it's self something looks off about it.

I really like the new Genestealer Abominant. His face is perhaps the most frightening in Warhammer history.

You know what? Fuck it. Chaos feels more characterful in Age of Sigmar. Everyone gets flavorful special abilities that are way deeper than feel no pain or an improved daemon save, and the summoning rules are vastly superior now. And there's even an aire of excitement concerning the return if Slaanesh, it's essentially a matter of time at this point after the last few Battletomes and the latest edition of Warhammer Quest.

I wish 40K would act more like AOS when it comes to Chaos. That little cardboard widget I get for my Maggotkin beats the fuck out of those Blight Grenades I get for my Death Guard.

It's getting round to it.
Death guard dex fleshed in 40k nurgle a bunch and added a bunch of AOS stuff, the expanded 1k sons stuff from wrath of Magnus was good, hopefully a world eaters and emperors deviants will come along at some point and maybe a lost and damned dex.
Chaos (vanilla) codex is supposed to be next after speed freaks.

One thing I really do like about playing Chaos in 40K is that Nurglings are Troop choices. There's nothing stopping a Daemon player from flooding the table with the little guys.

Sorry for the double post, but I notice that Geek & Sundry has been referencing GW properties a lot lately. This is worrying.

Gatekeeping is fine if it protects the property from turning into soggy YA mush, and that's just what it would become with Felicia Day acolytes calling the shots.

I don't see social justice articles mention WH that much. What makes it unpalatable as a click bait article do you think?

About six months ago there was a concerted effort to ruin Warhammer, but it never really gained traction. Perhaps it's not mainstream enough for socjus types to glom on, since they typically only try to twist major properties.

Too many abstract rules and math (well, arithmetic) for SJWs to want to look too hard at it. The attack on Paradox style ultra-spergy grand strategy games was similarly short lived and half hearted.
