Looking at the Bandai Ultramarine I swear they tried to make it realistic. It's almost the same height as a Marvel Legends figure when it should be much larger. The only thing that looks like it should be the right size is the bolter. Like Primais Space Marines are supposed to be taller than a Space Marine and Space Marine's are taller than normal humans. Somehow this is worth $215.99, Bandai is full of themselves.

At least McFarlane's should be cheaper and you can buy a greyscale one to paint yourself.

It's priced about the same as the Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H.MonsterArts line, which ain't bad for a high end articulated collectable figure.

I wouldn't really call this "high end". The bolter alone will probably fall apart on you as the handle has a skinny piece of plastic holding it on. Paint aps need a lot of work and there are weird plastic marks on various parts like they weren't molded right Almost looks like hard foam that's been dried and split.

Eh fair. I was just going off pictures. Bandai can do good figures so it's disappointing to hear that it's meh.

I think it's just "results may vary" due to lack of people doing QC so I'd wait on it. Joints from what I've seen from various people are great. They don't seem too stiff to the point of breaking on anyone. I'm probably just going to base coat mine after putting some liquid green stuff on any damaged areas and repaint it once I get my airbrush. I doubt I'll ever remove the bolter from the hand grip so I don't need to worry about that breaking so I'll just glue that in place.

Would have been nice to get a chainsword, but this is supposed to be an Intercessor so we're only going to see most of the standard equipment.

Also, my bad I think you get a Mark II Cawl Pattern Bolt Rifle. Least I think that's what the gun is. It's a mishmash of a bolter and a bolt rifle, like it's between the two designs. I originally thought it looked like a standard bolter. I might see about getting a auto bolt rifle 3d printed for it so it looks a lot more different.

Is there difference in making a list of Primaris Marines as opposed to the OG Marines?

Slightly tougher overall, but less flexibility. Primaris get an extra wound and attack over OG Mehreens, and Gravis-armored Primaris get +1 Toughness and another extra wound on top of that. They work like Horus Heresy Marine squads in that they're broken into more specialized units, so you're trading versatility for set loadouts that hit slightly harder than their OG counterparts. Primaris also have access to fewer transport options, because as of now all they get is the Repulsor and the Impulsor, so no flyers that can carry them.

There's plenty of differences. Primaris have slightly better stats, there's some Primaris only shit like some of the Primaris-only stratagems and Psyker powers. Plus Primaris characters often have fixed gear (you can't customize a Primaris captain like you can a regular OG Marine captain).
Plus Primaris lack actually cool CQC units like vanguard vets.

So is there really any point to the venerable land raider besides point value? should I just put all my poor money into grav tanks?

Transport. Custodes don't have any options for transports aside from the Land Raider and the Coronus grav-carrier, unless you're willing to cough up $445 USD for the Orion dropship from Forge World. You can get two Land Raiders for what you'd spend on a Coronus, or five for what you'd spend on the Orion.

Yea, but the venerable land raider looks gay. I'll just eat the bullets on grav tanks.
