That logo is actually signifying what his duties are on the battlefield, which is one of the Chapter's heavy weapons squads, Devastators or whatever was added in 8e with G-Man coming back.

Ignoring my lukewarm anticipation for the actual book, can someone explain to me why the black dude essentially has a (not)Alpha Legion crest on his shoulder? I dont remember anything like that in the ultramarines, and its suspiciously close to the alpha legion's

nigga salamanders arent black black, they are just pitch black. People have always been so retarded on this. There is literally no reason why there would not be black space marines in a lot of legions, especially primaris. The gene seed doesnt even reshape marines equally. Its why Aximand got the name "little horus"? Its because his mutation made him look the closest to horus. If a black dude gets the gene seed its not gonna perfectly bleach his skin white unless its some sort of freak gene seed mutation. Its really a shame that sjws poisoned the well so hard on minorities that having a black dude on the cover is now an easy joke. If any legion had black dudes, it would probably be the ultramarines anyway, since they have like a gorrilion planets in Ultramar. It would only start getting really weird if black space wolves and white scars started showing up, but even then, they have their primaris diversity hires. Forgive the sperg out, but /tg/ would not shut up about it.If they want to make stories about black astartes, why not just use the Salamanders or the Celestial Lions?
Either really poor taste on gullymans part, or very suspicious.IIRC, that's the insignia of the Greyshields, the Primaris Marines who made up the bulk of the Indomitus Crusade's forces.
There’s still the Celestial Lions, who are now best buds with the Black Templars. Ergo, they don’t have to worry about anymore inquisition tomfuckerynigga salamanders arent black black, they are just pitch black. People have always been so exceptional on this. Lol sadly we are past any point were they would use a story about imperial fists as a kick off for a major story development, if it aint a smurf, it aint getting front and center. There’s still the Celestial Lions, who are now best buds with the Black Templars. Ergo, they don’t have to worry about anymore inquisition tomfuckery
Ill be content if they replace that stupid baby carrier with something, anything else.
yeah thats probably near the top of the list, plus side it could be a hell of a challenge to make it look acceptable until a replacement comes along, i just hope its not to much primaris wank.Ill be content if they replace that stupid baby carrier with something, anything else.
was cadias destruction actually a meta reference to GWs attitude towards the guard, let alone any non SM factions? All we'll get from now on is primaris wank. GW wasn't content to have a single Spess Mureens faction, now they're slowly moving towards a second. If the IG didn't have a reliable fanbase of WorldWaraboos, they'd be at risk of getting squatted like the Brets.
While many might see the Primaris as harmless, I personally am pissed that instead of something new - Human, xeno, or otherwise - we just get super-super engineered space romans when the ones we had were eye rollingly mary sue-ish to begin with. GW clearly has no idea what to do with the spess mureens in the new setting other than make them spees mureen-y-er.
Cadia had to blow up for the setting to advance. The whole Dark Imperium has been handled very well overall; GW learned their lesson from End Times. But even so, we should be seeing the space marines starting to deviate (think transition from Roman era armies to early medieval armies, although each major chapter transitioning differently and gaining unique models along the way) and lose some of their uniformity; not this mary sue shit.was cadias destruction actually a meta reference to GWs attitude towards the guard, let alone any non SM factions?

Man, the /tg/ threads about this were a combination of crowing leftypol fags bragging about having a win and how they were going to destroy the evil "INCEL MANBABBIES" that were preventing Tyrone from entering the game stores, and rightypol fags telling them repeatedly to fuck off.
All this because of a black Ultramarine?
9e thoughts:
Wonder what the "Dawn of Fire" is. I'm actually really interested in whatever fluff is coming in 9e.
- SOB being brought forward to try and distract the woke? I'm strangely OK with this, as long as they're kept separate.
- Primaris slowly absorbing the rest of the Space Marine lineup is expected. I hope to start seeing some Primaris in busted other marks of armor, that would go far to help my problems with them.
- Necrons becoming the new primary antagonist is actually kinda cool. I wasn't expecting that.
So, I'm kinda on of a 40k video game kick:
Finished, pretty thouroughly, Deathwing. I ended up not liking it. I think part of the reason is that it was poorly optimized for the ps4. It just looked and controlled like trash.
I think the PC version was probably significantly better. But, the game got repetitive anyways...
Started playing Inquisitor Martyr. I actually like it quite a bit. It's a little overwhelming and doesn't explain much(in terms of mechanics). But, it's significantly better than the Deathwing experience.
I'm kinda shocked it got such terrible reviews, it seems to me a very competent Diablo clone...
I also picked up Space Hulk: Tactics which, I believe, is the best one of the bunch. But, I haven't started it yet....
If anyone has played Martyr, could someone help me navigate the DLC. It seems like season pass is a rip off, especially with Prophecy being independent of it..
I just want to pick up the ones worth it and dump the cosmetic, and worthless missions...
