You know what I wouldn't mind more Custodes in the spotlight at all. I am unlucky enough to live in a place where 99% of players pick space marines but there's always hope when someone new shows up he'll pick something like SOB or Orks.

Every single warhammer facebook group is banning/censoring any deviated takes posted in response to this.
It's really ironic in how warhammer clearly isn't for everyone unless you are compliant with the golden calf corporation that can do no wrong, ever.
 
People talk about the Alpha Legion and UM fights without mentioning the eternal grudges between the UM and Word Bearers over the ass-fucking they gave Ultramar during the Heresy? Or Ventris's murder-boner for Honsou? To quote Skinner: "You Ultramarines sure sound like a contentious people."

EDIT: If GW was smart, they could do this big throwdown where every Legion and warband the UM pissed off in the process of attaining their fuck-massive rolls of honor decides to team up and get revenge, because the only thing any of them can agree on is that the Ultramarines are a bunch of fun-ruining busybodies, and the UM are forced to call in pretty much every single favor they've earned because there's a 14th Black Crusade, and its headed right to their homeworlds.

From what I've seen it's partly linked to an respected black gamer in the community being ribbed about being black by an employee and him not seeing the funny side, which is a reasonable response. I'd be pissed if some nerd I've never met started making crap jokes at my expense, especially if it's on a traditionally prickly subject. GW's response reads a lot better with that in mind it isnt some stunning and brave stand but a general statement when one of their staff fucked up.
 
The 2nd edition Dark Millennium expansion used Dark Angels/Deathwing for the cover, Space Crusade had Blood Angels, pretty sure it was also Blood Angels on the Space Hulk computer game cover

That won't stop them. The SJWs don't actually play the hobbies they infest. They just screech at the companies and their SJW allies in said companies amplify the screeching and censor all information until they change the hobby to match SJW demands. Then they clap their hands, announce that they have fixed things, and fuck off to let the hobby burn to the ground afterwards.

GW, while retarded, are a very bottom line oriented company. While they can pay lip service very well, they won't tolerate or risk their money no matter what. At best you may get some optional racial heads for space Marines, and shit like that. But that would be positive addition over all.
